Hi all,
I have a Gigabyte Z370P D3 motherboard, suing the latest firmware but I cannot find the Secure Boot option as I want to have Windows 11 installed.
Manual is useless!
Can anyone please tell me how I enable it?

It’s not secure boot you need, it’s TPM 2.0
Go to UEFI and find the trusted computing option — in Peripherals menu iirc.

Disable CSM Mode. Secure Boot options comes up.

Weird. I ran the Win11 check on my server, running a Gigabyte B365 board and 8500T. Enabling trusted computing was it needed — CSM is still up and I haven’t enabled secure boot.

Yeah you need secure boot enabled. Otherwise the HDD doesn’t show up. At least that was what happened to me when I tried for many hours to install Win 11 for the first time.

Something came up back then so I didn’t go any further with this.
Now I’m back, and looked into this, did further research.
Turn out it was the disk that was on MBR. Converted it into GPT using MBR2GPT.EXE /convert /allowFullOS — once done, reboot, go in BIOS, enable UEFI, enable Secure Boot and then boot up to Windows — all good now!
Thought I’d share the info here for anyone who had the same issue as me.

Стоит понимать, что за несколько дней до этого в сеть попали рабочие образы с Windows 11, но кто в наше время верит столь явным утечкам? В любом случае уже через пару дней эйфория прошла, а её место заняла целая гора негатива. Дело в том, что Microsoft ужесточила требования к железу для новой ОС. Так, все процессоры должны на аппаратном уровне поддерживать функцию TPM 2.0. Поскольку это относительно новая система безопасности, то столь странное решение было встречено в штыки. Геймеры забрасывали Microsoft требованиями снизить требования до совместимости с TPM 1.2, но пока ребята непоколебимы.

Есть основания полагать, что в некоторые случаях требование удастся обойти, поскольку данная технология шифрования не используется в ряде стран (РФ в их число входит). В таких случаях будет поставляться модифицированная версия Windows 11, но слепо полагаться на заявления инсайдеров мы бы не стали. Также появились сведения о том, что Microsoft тестирует новую ОС на совместимость с процессорами Intel Core 7000-й серии и Ryzen 1-й серии. I am currently using a Z370 HD3P motherboard with an i5-8400 (my wife’s PC). The boot is set to UEFI CSM as my system drive is formatted MBR. I know I have to change the format to GPT and boot using UEFI for Win 11 buy my question is concerning Secure Boot. I’ve activated TPM by turning on PTT in the BIOS and it shows on in Windows but with Attestation not supported. Running the PC Health Check shows the PC does not support Secure Boot. In the manual, it does not show an option to turn Secure Boot on. My other Gigabyte mobo (Z390 Aorus Pro) does show this option in the manual and it passed the PC Health check for running Win 11 after I turned on PTT (I did not turn on Secure Boot yet). This system was always booted UEFI as the system disk is GPT.
My question is this: If I do change the disk format to GPT and boot using UEFI only, will the option to turn on Secure Boot show up? I’ve found some threads for other motherboards that say this is what happens but I can’t find anything for this board. I was hoping that by booting UEFI this would also clear up the Attestation status (assuming it even matters) if the Secure Boot option is there. Any help with this before I go through the process of converting the boot drive to GPT would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Как включить TPM 2.0 в BIOS на GIGABYTE и AORUS

Согласно информации, опубликованной компанией GIGABYTE (ссылка), программная эмуляция модуля TPM 2.0 присутствует на материнских платах с чипсетами Intel® X299, C621, C232, C236, C246, 200, 300, 400, 500, а также на платах с чипсетами AMD TRX40, 300, 400, 500.
Поэтому, если у вас компьютер с одним из этих чипсетов, то вам не обязательно покупать дискретный TPM модуль. Можно просто активировать программную эмуляцию в настройках BIOS и обновляться до Windows 11. Данная опция называется «Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT)» или «AMD CPU fTPM». Точную информацию об установке TPM модуля и включении эмуляции TPM 2.0 в BIOS на GIGABYTE или AORUS нужно искать в инструкции к вашей материнской плате. Получить такую инструкцию можно на официальном сайте, в разделе « Поддержка ».
Для этого нужно ввести в поиск Google название материнской платы и перейти на страницу этой платы на сайте GIGABYTE.
В результате откроется страница с информацией о данной плате. Здесь нужно перейти в раздел « Поддержка ».
Дальше нужно перейти на вкладку « Инструкции » и открыть инструкцию для материнской платы. Обратите внимание, для получения информации о TPM вам нужно именно инструкция (User manual), а не руководство по установке (Installation Guide).
В инструкции для материнской платы нужно выполнить поиск по слову « PTT » (для плат на базе Intel) или « fTPM » (для плат на базе AMD).

Установка драйверов
Добрый день! Сегодня я купил системный блок и теперь после установки есть вопросы. Нужно ли скачивать драйвера и какой Realtek Audio Driver
(Note) Win10 ver.1903 supported или Realtek Audio Driver

Драйвера лучше скачать с официального сайта производителя материнки.
Аудиодрайвер выбираете тот, какая версия Win10 у вас стоит. Если самая последняя с обновлениями от конца июня — начала июля 2019, то это 1903. Смотрите версию в Параметры — Система — О системе.
Как правило, windows сама ставить нужные драйвера (хоть и не самые «свежие»). Если все работает — не нужно ничего ставить.
