This article looks like it was ripped off BA wiki —93.113.134.162 07:27, 26 October 2018 (BST)
- Apparently, back in the early days of BetaWiki there was a user named BillyHatcher that would often copy and paste articles from the BAWiki onto here. Not surprisingly, it is stated on the history that indeed it was copied by him. I might change it to make it original soon. BF10 (talk) 11:37, 26 October 2018 (BST)
TWIWMTB[edit source]
I’m kinda thinking of adding in a section dedicated to Longhorn «The Way It Was Meant To Be», a custom release of Longhorn that includes a patched Aero theme that has the glass borders and a working APPA. I think having a section for that would help out some people who want to quickly try out Aero instead of having to modify the theme files themselves. Also, Longhorn.ms also talks about it too.

- I agree that we shouldn’t cover every single thing ever produced by beta community members but I have no problem with some mentions to well-known projects such as 4074 TWIWMTB. Feel free to add the section. —AlphaBeta (talk) 15:02, 19 December 2018 (GMT)
Longhorn Timebomb[edit source]
Is the Date under Timebomb the date the Timebomb is supposed to activate, or the date I am supposed
to set on my VM?

The date when Timebomb activates.
You set the date in your VM to 2004-04-26.

Safe Mode[edit source]
This build was previously known that the possible Safe Mode workarounds are Safe Mode with Command Prompt or disabling the Sidebar before starting Safe Mode, and now Safe Mode now works with sidebar ON (but it is stated in the article that it is required to use a fix prior to starting Safe Mode). —BGRComputers.co (talk | contribs) 03:21, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
LDDM Boot screen[edit source]
How do we know what the LDDM boot screen looks like, if there aren’t any LDDM drivers for 4074? Boa (talk) 07:12, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
Why can’t you normally upgrade to build 4074?[edit source]
You can’t normally upgrade to build 4074 because it says «Upgrades to this build have been disabled.» Brennan1234567890 (talk) 22:06, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
Patching Microsoft.Windows.WCPClient.dll[edit source]
In this build, how am going to patch Microsoft.Windows.WCPClient.dll
to enable other aero features? —— This newly signed comment was added by Lazytown Sportacus (LazytownSpo4015) • Talk page • 02:40, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
Not sure if this will work, but there a link to the patched Microsoft.Windows.WPClient.dll on the 4066 page. TechActivate 781 (talk) 07:14, 11 June 2023 (UTC)
- No, i want to manually patch that file. —— This newly signed comment was added by Lazytown Sportacus (LazytownSpo4015) • Talk page • 05:22, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
This WCPClient definitely won’t work due to many things being changed. Here’s the ISO that includes patched WCPClient and SWE. Use script that is included with ISO to set up. SeregaWin555 (talk) 07:24, 11 June 2023 (UTC)

Hey guys,
I have found TWIWMTB (The Way It Was Meant To Be) Longhorn 4074 .iso released by Savoury and PandaX on BetaArchive back in 2011. The original link posted by those guys doesn’t work anymore but after a little digging around I found a working link for the modified .iso. For those who have never heard of this modified 4074 build, it contains a fully working Aurora Preview Panel Animation, a DWM theme with transparency, and also some minor bug fixes. I have tried it out myself on VMWare Workstaion 6.5 and 7.1. DWM works when using 6.5 but it is very buggy and ever goes to black and white. On 7.1 it works almost flawlessly and it is beautiful.
Now, I’m not really sure how to fill out one part of the upload forum. In the «Vendor Name» box do I add my username or do I post the link or the website name? And what steps do I need to take after filling out the forum? or is that all I need to do?
Thanks,
Longhorn4074
