Друзья, в прошлой статье сайта «Выживаем на слабом ПК: меняем Windows XP на Windows Embedded 7» мы с вами познакомились с индустриальной сборкой «Семёрки». И рассмотрели способ её установки из официального дистрибутива. Таковой, напомню, если мы изначально не вводим свой лицензионный ключ, поставляется с триал-активацией на 30 дней. 30-дневную активацию в дальнейшем можно сбросить 3 раза. И таким образом в общей сложности получить 120 дней бесплатного использования операционной системы. А после этих 120 дней можно сменить ключ активации Windows Embedded 7 на другой, специальный ключ и ещё воспользоваться 180-дневным триал-сроком. Как в общей сложности получить эти 300 бесплатных дней?

По прошествии первых 30-ти дней триал-срока работы с Windows Embedded 7 сбрасываем активацию. Запускаем от имени администратора командную строку и вводим:
slmgr -rearm
Перезагружаем компьютер. Затем клавишами Win+Pause запускаем свойства системы и проверяем, всё ли в порядке, обновилась ли активация.
И такую вот манипуляцию проводим ещё 2 раза, по завершении каждого из 30-дневных триал-сроков работы Windows Embedded 7. На 121-й день работы системы, когда все 3 попытки сброса активации будут исчерпаны, делаем следующее.
Для Windows Embedded 7 существует легальный бесплатный ключ активации на 180 дней. Этот ключ утёк в сеть ещё тогда, когда Microsoft раздавала его студентам ВУЗов в рамках программы DreamSpark. Вот этот ключ:

Но, друзья, мы его не внедрим в систему привычным образом, как это делается в обычных десктопных версиях Windows 7. Ключ нужно вводить с помощью командной строки. Запускаем её от имени администратора. И вводим:
slmgr -ipk GJVTR-C4WQ6-BKRH3-DRFFH-J83DM
Увидим сообщение об успешной установке ключа. Далее отправляемся в свойства системы и смотрим на активацию – у нас есть 180 бесплатных дней.
Но и это ещё, друзья, не всё. Возможно, сброс активации будет работать трижды для 180-дневного ключа. Т.е. мы сразу вводим этот ключ, а на 181-й день сбрасываем активацию. И так делаем ещё дважды. Но это только предположение. Этот нюанс работает в модифицированных сборках Windows Embedded 7, работает ли он на официальном дистрибутиве системы – мне по крайней мере неизвестно. Может быть кто-то из вас опробует этот способ и со временем отпишется в комментариях, чтобы другие не мелочились на сброс активации через каждые 30 дней.

Activation ID
Each year requires a new license key and activation ID. The activation IDs are shown below. You will need a new license key each year.

Activating the ESU license online
Windows 7 Embedded: The system must be connected to the Internet to activate the license.
Windows 7 Professional: The system must be connected to the Internet to activate the license using this method. If the system is offline, see below for phone activation instructions.
- Open an elevated command prompt:
- On the instrument computer, select the Windows logo.
- Type cmd in the dialog box and press Enter.
- Type slmgr /ipk <ESU license key> and press Enter.
- At the confirmation message, select OK.
- At the elevated command prompt, type slmgr /ato <activation ID > and press Enter.
On activation, a dialog box shows a confirmation message. - Select OK to close the dialog box.
Activating the ESU license offline via phone
This method is only available for Windows 7 Professional.
- Using an internet connected device, find the phone number for your region on the Microsoft website: Microsoft Licensing Activation Centers
- Open an elevated command prompt:
- On the instrument computer, select the Windows logo.
- Type cmd in the dialog box and press Enter.
- To install the license key, type slmgr.vbs /ipk <ESU license key> and press Enter.
- At the elevated command prompt, type slmgr /dti <activation ID > and press Enter.
- Note the installation ID shown on the screen.
- Call the Microsoft Licensing Activation Center for your region.
- Provide the installation ID and make note of the confirmation ID that you receive.
- At the elevated command prompt, type slmgr /atp <confirmation ID > <activation ID > and press Enter.
On activation, a dialog box shows a confirmation message.
License status
You can check the license status at any time:
- At the elevated command prompt type slmgr /dlv all and press Enter.
The License Status should be Licensed.

I decided to try Windows Embedded under a VM Virtual Machine and the first thing I noticed was that it was less than willing to activate with the usual tools and was greeted with a friendly warning that Windows Embedded must be reinstalled fully if I wish to activate it.
Here is what I did instead.
1. Got the eZ-Activator from another thread, although the Easy Activation doesn’t seem to work.
2. Used a key from this thread here h__p:// forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/28555-Windows-Embedded-Standard-7-keys
3. Entered the key under the «Custom Key» section in the Toolkit, clicked Install. Install was a success.
4. Now I went back to the Activation tab and clicked «Activate». Operation was a success.I am not sure if it was relevant, but Windows seemed to be unable to activate without slui.exe, which was missing and another one of its libraries, which I took from another version of Windows I had and pasted them there.

I dealt with the reboots every 20m by scheduling a task with Windows Task Scheduler to execute shutdown.exe -a
to prevent the Windows scheduled shutdown from executingHope this helps someone.

It doesn’t need an «activator» or even «activating». You enter the key (slmgr.vbs -ipk) and it’s done. Removing the WLMS package will get rid of the reboots.
Still, I can imagine it might be detected and cause issues later on, so of course the clean way of doing it is installing with a non-eval key. -
Kronz, appreciate your effort, but as per 100 reply, it is completely pointless and bound to confuse somebody instead of helping!

just use keys optained from point 2 while intalling Windows Embedded Standard 7 & you don’t need to activate anything or remove anything. Even Microsoft stated it is static activation. I do appreciate your efforts.
