These are the preinstalled wallpapers for both Microsoft Windows 2000 & Windows ME. They both released the same year and have a similar UI. But the technical under hood of each OS is very different. Windows ME is apart of the Win9x line that is based on the older MS-DOS for its kernel. Where Windows 2000 is based on the Windows NT Kernel and is quite similar to Windows XP that would come out in 2001, despite 2000 being older then ME.
