Windows 11, version 24H2

Predecessor	Windows 11, version 23H2

The Windows 11 2024 Update^[1] (also known as version 24H2, codenamed Hudson Valley^{[citation needed]})^[2]^[3]^[4] is the third and latest major update to Windows 11. It carries the build number 10.0.26100.

The first preview was released to Insiders who opted in to the Canary and Dev Channels on February 8, 2024. The update began rolling out for Copilot Plus PCs on June 15, 2024.^[5] As of build 26052, the version string has been changed from «23H2» to «24H2». The update began rolling out to all users on October 1, 2024.^[6]^[4]

Version 24H2 notably introduces the first Windows 11 based Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) editions, along with new subscription variants of IoT Enterprise editions (both LTSC and non-LTSC).^[7]

The update will reach end of service on October 13, 2026, for Home, Pro, Pro Education, Pro for Workstations and SE editions.^[8] The Enterprise, Enterprise multi-session, IoT Enterprise and Education editions will reach end of service on October 12, 2027.^[8] The Enterprise LTSC and IoT Enterprise LTSC editions will reach end of service on October 9, 2029, and October 10, 2034, respectively.^[8]

System requirements

For the first time since the release of Windows 11, version 24H2 introduces modified system requirements:

A x86-64-v2 CPU supporting SSE4.2 and POPCNT CPU instructions is now required, otherwise the Windows kernel is unbootable.^[9]^[10] (Only affecting systems bypassing the TPM 2.0 requirement, along with all 24H2 IoT Enterprise editions.)
IoT Enterprise editions (LTSC and non-LTSC) have officially eliminated a TPM and UEFI requirement, and lowers the minimum DirectX version to 10 from 12, which was previously required on 23H2.^[7]^[11]
The new IoT Enterprise LTSC edition lowers the minimum required RAM to 2 GB, and storage space to 16 GB.^[7]^[11]
ARMv8.1 is now required for ARM variants, dropping unofficial support for ARMv8.0.^[12] On ARMv8.0 CPUs, the Windows kernel is unbootable.
ARM variants drop support for 32-bit ARM applications.^[13] Only 64-bit ARM applications will run.

Version 24H2, notably, has a longer than usual list of known issues; some require updated drivers to fix, while others have yet to be fixed as of February 2025. E.g., broken biometrics and camera support on a limited number of devices, and some older games and applications not functioning properly or not working at all; e.g., Asphalt 8 (resolved since March 19, 2025), Dirac audio improvement software (if cridspapo.dll is utilized), and AutoCAD 2022.^[14]^[15]^[16]

Windows 11 HDR background support for HDR monitors.^[17]
Support for Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), which enhances data transfer speeds, along with new user interface elements to refresh the list of Wi-Fi networks and indicate scan progress.^[18]
Support for Bluetooth LE audio.^[18]
Windows 11 Search adds the ability to search for documents and photos using descriptive phrases instead of just file names.^[17]
Super Resolution: photographs may now be enhanced up to 8x without sacrificing quality using AI upscaling, which works faster on Copilot+ PCs.^[18]
Windows Recall (preview) which lets users find content they have already viewed. Delayed and only being released in preview status due to the amount of negative feedback that it received when it was first introduced, this feature requires Windows Hello for secure access (because it may display sensitive data) and can be disabled.^[17]
Windows Studio Effects for cameras and microphones in supported applications including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, and the Microsoft Camera app; effects include backdrop blur, eye correction, portrait lighting, and illustrative filters.^[19]
Windows Click to Do (preview): an interactive PC screen overlay with several functions for tasks including text summarizing or sending, blending backgrounds in pictures, and using Microsoft Bing for visual search.^[17]

Windows 11, первый релиз Windows с 2015 года, основывается на своём предшественнике, переделывая пользовательский интерфейс в соответствии с новыми рекомендациями Microsoft Fluent Design. Редизайн, в котором основное внимание уделяется простоте использования и гибкости^[23], сопровождается новыми продуктивными и социальными функциями, а также обновлениями в области безопасности и доступности, устраняющими некоторые недостатки Windows 10^[24].

Магазин Microsoft Store, который служит единой витриной для приложений и другого контента, также переработан в Windows 11. Пользовательский интерфейс и дизайн[править | править код]

Переработанный интерфейс присутствует во всей операционной системе; полупрозрачность, тени, новая цветовая палитра и закруглённая геометрия преобладают во всем пользовательском интерфейсе^[36]. Кнопки панели задач по умолчанию выровнены по центру^[37], а новая кнопка «Виджеты» отображает панель с Microsoft Start, агрегатором новостей с персонализированными историями и контентом (расширяя панель «Новости и интересы», представленную в более поздних сборках Windows 10).

Панель задач постоянно прикреплена к нижнему краю экрана и не может быть перемещена к верхнему, левому или правому краю экрана в Windows 11 (хотя центрированные значки можно переключить для выравнивания влево).

Меню «Пуск» было значительно переработано, вместо «живых плиток», использовавшихся в Windows 8.x и 10, появилась сетка «прикреплённых» приложений, а также список последних приложений и документов.

Шрифт Segoe UI был обновлен до вариативной версии, что улучшило его способность масштабироваться между разрешениями дисплея. Другие изменения в системе включают новые системные значки, анимацию, звуки и виджеты. Большая часть интерфейса и стартового меню в значительной степени вдохновлены ныне отменённой Windows 10X. Также был представлен новый дизайн для Проводника и приложения «Параметры».

В марте 2023 года в инсайдерской сборке Windows 11 с номером 25309 появился новый микшер громкости, позволяющий быстро переключаться между аудиовходами (колонки, наушники и так далее), изменять громкость отдельных приложений, а также выбирать одну из предоставленных технологий пространственного звука: Dolby Atmos for Headphones или Windows Sonic for Headphones. В 2025 году корпорация Microsoft сообщила о смене цвета экрана при сообщении о критической системной ошибке в операционной системе Windows 11 с синего на зелёный^[40].

Подсистема Windows для Android[править | править код]

Несмотря на отсутствие в первом выпуске, будущий выпуск Windows 11, запланированный на 2022 год^[41]^[42], позволит пользователям устанавливать и запускать приложения для Android на своём устройстве с помощью новой подсистемы Windows для Android (WSA) и проекта Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Эти приложения можно будет получить из Microsoft Store через Amazon Appstore^[43].
Для запуска приложений потребуется учетная запись Microsoft, учётная запись Amazon, однократная установка клиента Amazon Appstore, а также наличие на компьютере 8 ГБ оперативной памяти или более^[44]^[45]^[46]^[47]^[48].
Пользователи также могут устанавливать приложения Android из любого источника, используя формат файла пакета приложений Android (APK)^[49].

Безопасность[править | править код]

В рамках минимальных системных требований Windows 11 работает только на устройствах с сопроцессором безопасности Trusted Platform Module 2.0^[50]. По словам Microsoft, сопроцессор TPM 2.0 — это «критически важный элемент» для защиты от атак на микропрограммное и аппаратное обеспечение. Кроме того, Microsoft теперь требует, чтобы устройства с Windows 11 имели встроенную и включённую по умолчанию защиту на основе виртуализации (VBS), целостность кода, защищённого гипервизором (HVCI), и Secure Boot. Операционная система также имеет аппаратную защиту стека для поддерживаемых процессоров Intel и AMD для защиты от эксплойтов нулевого дня.

Как и её предшественница, Windows 11 также поддерживает многофакторную аутентификацию и биометрическую аутентификацию через Windows Hello.

Windows 11 «для образовательных учреждений» (англ. Education) — вариант «Корпоративной» для учебных заведений.
Windows 11 Mixed Reality — специальная версия Windows 11 для устройств дополненной и смешанной реальности.
Windows 11 SE — версия Windows 11 исключительно для бюджетных устройств, продаваемых на образовательном рынке и ориентированная на облачные технологии. Участники программы Windows Insider на канале Canary сообщили, что в последней выпущенной Microsoft предварительной версии Windows 11 обнаружилась настолько серьёзная ошибка, что «затруднительным становится использование ПК для выполнения даже элементарных задач».

Отдел разработки Windows выявил настолько серьёзную ошибку, что Microsoft пришлось отложить выпуск некоторых сборок для программы Windows Insider, пока проблема не будет решена. Она затрагивает сборку Canary и «влияет на множество функций, которые затрудняют использование ПК для выполнения даже основных задач». Это примечательно, потому что участники программы Windows Insider на канале Canary и без того готовы, что новейшие предварительные версии Windows окажутся сырыми и с большим количеством ошибок.

Данная ошибка «влияет на функциональность всей ОС от Bluetooth и Wi-Fi до подключения USB-аксессуаров и даже встроенной камеры (что также влияет на Windows Hello на ПК)», признался один из руководителей направления Windows Insider Брэндон Леблан (Brandon LeBlanc), но не уточнил, в чём именно заключается проблема. Инцидент выпал на не самое подходящее время — 19 мая открывается конференция разработчиков Microsoft Build. С другой стороны, реакция компании показывает, что у неё есть механизмы, которые не дают сборкам с серьёзными повреждениями попадать к участникам программы Windows Insider.

Microsoft ведёт работу над исправлением ошибки, и если всё пойдёт хорошо, новая сборка Windows Insider появится на канале Canary к концу этой недели. Канал Canary — полигон для тестирования последних сборок Windows, и никогда нет гарантии, что нововведения в этих сборках дойдут до общедоступных выпусков. Ошибки и нестабильность — дело обычное, но иногда случается нечто настолько плохое, что Microsoft отказывается выпускать это даже для ограниченной аудитории.

Не так давно я написал заметку, где дал исторический очерк жизненного цикла Windows 10, рассказал о том, когда выходили разные версии (а их было как минимум 14) и до какой даты осуществляется обновление. Там же я давал рекомендации тем, кто не собирается переходить на Windows 11, как им получать обновления на свою Windows 10 еще более семи лет, до 13.01.2032.

Сегодня у меня задача понятным языком рассказать вам о Windows 11. Всегда непросто описывать современные системы и их текущие версии, — во-первых они слишком быстро меняются, обновляются, устаревают, а, во-вторых, просто накоплено не так много исторических знаний и опыта, что делает суждения более поверхностными и спорными. Для начала я расскажу о глобальных версиях Windows 11, — их всего 4 (в трех ветвях обслуживания). Потом остановлюсь на том, что такое «Моменты» в терминологии Microsoft, когда эти моменты наступали для Windows 11 и что они приносили. Далее я еще усложню рассказ тем, что раскрою секрет Полишинеля, — Microsoft вводит новый функционал не только в новых версиях ОС, не только некими специальными пакетами «моментами», но и простыми кумулятивными обновлениями. Расскажу о том, какие веховые обновления приносили нововведения в ОС (очевидно, что все последующие включают в себя все предшествующее). Ну и чтобы сделать заметку окончательно нечитаемой для рядового пользователя, но, чтобы энтузиасты как раз таки дочитали ее до конца, расскажу, как задействовать новый функционал в Windows 10 и Windows 11, который Microsoft еще автоматом не сделал общедоступным. И что самое важное, расскажу, как отключить новый функционал, если вы предпочитаете классическую реализацию (если такая бинарно еще сохранилась в ОС). Ну что, поехали?

Первая финальная сборка Windows 11 21H2 (здесь и далее ссылки на ресурс с описанием нововведений в версиях, моментах и сборках) номером 10.0.22000.51 ветви обслуживания co_release (Cobalt) была собрана 28.06.2021, официально стала доступна 04.10.2021. Версии Home и Pro вышли из официального цикла поддержки 10.10.2023, Enterprise и Education поддерживаются до 08.10.2024. То есть пока обновления выходят, но счет идёт на месяцы, пора переходить на более новую версию, благо — это бесплатно и легко выполнимо, — как через Windows Update, так и установкой поверх новой версии того же языка и издания, — приложения, файлы и активация сохранятся (если вы используете KMS активатор, потребуется повторно им воспользоваться). Windows 11 21H2 продолжает получать обновления до сих пор (для корпоративных и образовательных изданий, как я писал выше). За прошедшие три года было выпущено более сотни кумулятивных обновлений, большая часть из которых, как это всегда водилось, исправляли найденные ошибки и уязвимости, но некоторые из них также приносили новый функционал. На сегодня известны 14 сборок, которые Microsoft называет «Feature update» для Windows 11 21H2 (я их называю веховыми сборками). Эти сборки приносили те или иные дополнения в функционал. Заниматься перечислением их я здесь не буду, заинтересовавшиеся могут посмотреть страницу со всеми веховыми сборками Windows 11 21H2, где для каждой дан список нововведений. Очевидно, что так как обновления кумулятивны, установка последнего, в том числе более нового, чем отображенного на странице, даст вам весь функционал предыдущих.

Windows 11 2022 Update, она же Windows 11 22H2, ветки обслуживания ni_release (Nickel) впервые была представлена сборкой 10.0.22621.1 от 11.05.2022. Было выпущено почти две сотни обновлений, система поддерживается до сих пор: домашние версии до 08.10.2024, корпоративные до 14.10.2025. Список нововведений велик. Кроме функционала проведена серьезная работа над ошибками в интерфейсе, — те, кто плевались на интерфейс первой Windows 11 более снисходительны к последующим (причем сейчас речь скорее именно об упрощении излишне сложного оригинального Windows 11 каждой следующей версией).

Как и в случае Windows 10 на базе ядра Vibranium, и сборки 10.0.19041, которая пакетами обновлений плавно перетекала в 10.0.19042, 10.0.19043, 10.0.19044 и 10.0.19045, версия на базе ядра Nickel также развивалась с 10.0.22621 до бета канала 10.0.22622, затем ежегодным обновлением до версии 23H2 (о ней чуть позже) 10.0.22631 и ее бета канала 10.0.22635.

За два года вышло 12 веховых обновлений (список и нововведения смотри тут) из которых 5 были названы «моментами». Тут остановимся чуть подробнее, коротким списком:

Те веховые обновления, которые названы «Моментами» имеют в себе больше нововведений, и эти нововведения могут включаться или выключаться (совсем не очевидным образом). Например, начиная с «Момента 1» в Проводнике появилась возможность использовать вкладки – но это не означает, что они сразу у всех появились! В «Моменте 3» появилась поддержка USB 4.0, в «Моменте 4» появился Copilot.
25.05.2023 выходит сборка 22621.1825, которая, если дополнительно установить KB5027397: обновление компонентов до Windows 11 версии 23H2 с помощью пакета включения обновляет систему до Windows 11 2023 Update, она же Windows 11 23H2 (Nickel R2) со сборкой 22631.1825.

Для Windows 11 23H2 на сегодня выходило пять веховых сборки, четыре из пяти являлись также веховыми для 22H2 и один «Момента», также общий с 22H2:

Тут обращу внимание, что, например, сборка 22631.3668 является Release Preview для 23H2, но то же самое кумулятивное обновление 22621.3668 для 22H2 является поддерживаемым. С тех пор выходило уже множество сборок обновлений, 22631.3810 включает в себя все возможности и является поддерживаемым.

Наконец, недавно была представлена Windows 11 2024 Update, она же Windows 11 24H2 ветви обслуживания Germanium (ge_release). Первая сборка 10.0.26100.1 была собрана 03.04.2024. Добавлено много нового. Встроенный архиватор, наконец, понимает 7Zip, TAR, RAR, добавлена поддержка WiFi 7, Bluetooth LE Audio, масса нововведений в сценариях работы файлового сервера (и клиента SMB), подробнее по ссылке. Желающим получать свежие сборки следует единожды установить обновление ветви 10.0.26120.х (они есть с теми же номерами, что и 10.0.26100.х), и далее получать больше включенных возможностей. Впервые вместе с обычными изданиями Windows 11 доступно и LTSC, что означает, что для Windows 11 24H2 обновления будут выходить 10 лет. Тем кто любит менять ОС редко, но метко, это отличный знак. В завершение теоретической заметки о версиях и сборках я добавлю техническую изюминку. Вы наверняка знаете, что часть функционала в ОС добавляется заранее, но активируется позже после тестирования ограниченным списком специальных тестеров. Существует утилита ViVeTool, и её графическая версия ViVeTool-GUI, которые могут показать вам большое количество возможностей ОС, которые вы можете включить (если они отключены) или выключить (если вам данное нововведение не нравится). Бывает, что Microsoft какое-то нововведение на время уберет обновлением, — обычно просто «спрячет» и включить можно через ViVeTool. Работает с Windows 10 и Windows 11. Перед применением делайте резервную копию настроек!

Например, вы можете отключить навязчивую строку поиска, выключить вкладки в Проводнике, вернуть возможности записи истории событий скриншотами для Copilot и многое другое.

На странице FAQ («Часто задаваемые вопросы») операционной системы Windows 11 24H2, которую можно найти по адресу System > About («Система» > «О системе»), появился новый раздел, который подскажет пользователям, достаточно ли у них объёма оперативной памяти и мощности графического процессора для запуска современных игр. Сейчас нововведение проходит стадию тестирования и в ближайшее время станет доступно всем пользователям ОС. Кроме того, раздел объяснит, почему оперативная память крайне важна для стабильной работы.

Как видно из изображения ниже, сейчас в разделе есть ответы на несколько вопросов:

Использую ли я последнюю версию Windows? Какая версия Windows считается последней?
Достаточно ли моего графического процессора для запуска современных игр? Как мощность GPU может повлиять на производительность и мой пользовательский опыт?
Как влияют 8–16 ГБ оперативной памяти на производительность моего ПК? Могу ли я запускать современные приложения с таким объёмом ОЗУ?

Windows 11 начнёт сообщать, хватит ли ОЗУ и мощности видеокарты для современных игр

Как сообщают авторы тематического ресурса Windows Latest, ответы очень поверхностные, но, видимо, таким образом разработчики из Microsoft намерены помочь пользователям, которые практически не разбираются в компьютерах.

Так, например, если у пользователя всего 4 ГБ оперативной памяти, Windows пояснит, что это минимальный объём для работы операционной системы, 4–8 ГБ ОЗУ будет достаточно для выполнения стандартных задач, например, сёрфинга в сети интернет или редактирования документов, но в конечном итоге пользователь столкнётся с проблемами, если попытается запустить одну из современных игр.

Журналисты уверены, что раздел FAQ — это отличная идея, но он требует большего числа развёрнутых ответов.
