По программе Windows Insider сейчас доступна свежая сборка Windows 10 Technical Preview build 9926 для настольных компьютеров и ноутбуков. Мы решили протестировать её и проверить заявленные изменения. Их официальный список оказался далеко не полным. Как это уже часто бывало, отдельные управляющие элементы скрыты из графического интерфейса и включаются через реестр.
Познакомиться с новым билдом удобнее через Virtual Box. В сети есть пространные описания настройки виртуальной машины для установки Windows 10, но в действительности процесс выполняется буквально в несколько кликов. Вы просто указывайте тип новой ВМ как Windows 8.1 (десятой версии пока нет в списке), монтируете образ дистрибутива Windows 10 на виртуальный оптический привод и выполняете базовые настройки в соответствии с минимальными системными требованиями: ОЗУ объёмом от 1 ГБ (для 32-разрядной версии) или от 2 ГБ (для 64-битной). Также потребуется видеокарта с поддержкой DirectX 9 и WDDM драйвером, подключённая к монитору с разрешением от 1024×768. Свободное место на диске должно быть более 16 ГБ. Из них 350 МБ займёт скрытый раздел для восстановления системы после сбоев.
В комментариях к выпуску дополнительно указывается, что требуется доступ в интернет и учётная запись Microsoft, хотя на самом деле можно обойтись без неё. Просто пункт меню установки «Войти без учётной записи Майкрософт» появляется далеко не сразу.
Он возникает в самом низу экрана после выбора варианта «Создать учётную запись». Причём, появляется ненадолго: у меня он исчез при наведении курсора в первый раз и появился вновь только после возврата на предыдущий этап установки. Возможно, это не хитрость, а просто глюк тестовой версии.
По умолчанию экран приветствия остаётся прежним. Если вы хотите посмотреть на новый стиль оформления экран входа в систему, то добавьте в реестр следующее значение:

После завершения сеанса или перезагрузки вы увидите экспериментальный интерфейс с круглыми иконками для миниатюр пользователя. В нижней части экрана отображаются настраиваемые значки и системные уведомления. Например, о доступности обновлений.
Меня больше позабавил индикатор разряженной батареи на экране приветствия по умолчанию. Виртуальная машина работает от электросети и аккумулятора у неё нет вообще.
Уже при первом знакомстве с новым билдом Windows 10 видно, что его русификация неполная. Даже часть элементов в основных меню отображается на английском. Видимо, гибридный интерфейс решили дополнить гибридным переводом: при смене системного языка на английский часть надписей отображается по-русски. Эффект сохраняется даже после перезагрузки.
Меню «Пуск» теперь стало больше ориентировано на планшеты и ноутбуки-трансформеры. Оно написано на языке XAML и выполнено в универсальном интерфейсе Continuum. В нём используются списки быстрого перехода, настраивается степень прозрачности, а плитки группируются перетаскиванием. Также на любых устройствах его можно переключить в полноэкранный режим.
Если все эти новшества лишь раздражают вас, то вернуть прежний вид меню «Пуск» можно через реестр:

Изменения вступят в силу после перезагрузки компьютера, но можно ограничиться перезапуском только «Проводника» – например, через диспетчер задач. Затем переключение стиля меню станет доступно в настройках.
Новая поисковая строка, расположенная на панели задач, демонстрирует выдачу Bing наряду с результатами локального поиска по введённому запросу. Обратите внимание, что окончания игнорируются для нахождения всех словоформ.
Элемент управления «Настройки» стал более логичным. Всё разделено на группы и находится именно там, где ожидаешь увидеть. Если всё-таки возникают затруднения, то можно просто написать искомое в строке поиска.
Новые цифровые часы и календарь также скрыты по умолчанию. Их можно активировать через реестр:

Набор предустановленных программ обновился. Среди них появились «Фотографии» (с возможностью сохранения на локальный жёсткий диск или в облачный сервис OneDrive), «Карты», Xbox, и бета-версия Windows Store с новым универсальным дизайном. Пока он отображается серой плиткой, так как мало на что способен. Большая часть функций в нём отключена. Если вы купили приложения, когда у вас была Windows 8.1, то можете использовать их в Windows 10. Наоборот не получится.
Пользователей, которые не освоили файловые менеджеры, порадует обновлённый «Проводник». В нём теперь хотя бы можно выбрать открываемый по умолчанию каталог, правда – всего из двух вариантов. Новый набор иконок изменил цвет и теперь по умолчанию выводит оверлеем графические миниатюры. Также новые иконки были нарисованы для области уведомлений.
Слегка изменился и общий стиль управления: универсальные приложения теперь меняют тип своего интерфейса по нажатию кнопки, расположенной в правой части заголовка вместе с другими.
В обновлённом Центре действий кнопкой Connect или сочетанием клавиш {Win}+{P} выполняется упрощённое подключение к беспроводным мультимедийным устройствам с поддержкой Bluetooth и Miracast. Сопряжение происходит автоматически.
Заметна и оптимизация центра уведомлений. Теперь в нём появилась панель быстрых действий, в которой размещаются ссылки на часто меняющиеся настройки.
Запустив утилиту DXdiag можно заметить, что версия DirectX теперь указывается двенадцатая. Однако реально это не полный пакет долгожданного API, способного бросить вызов AMD Mantle. Это всего лишь обновление нескольких библиотек – что-то промежуточное между DX v.11.3 и v.12.
Впрочем, не отчаивайтесь. Игры с поддержкой DX 12 всё равно появятся ещё не скоро.
В текущую тестовую сборку так и не вошёл новый браузер Spartan, а часть уже привычных функций вновь стала недоступной. К примеру, теперь нельзя переносить ярлыки приложений в стиле Metro на «Рабочий стол». Действие просто игнорируется.
В сборке 9926 виртуальный голосовой помощник впервые стал доступен для настольных компьютеров. Его прообразом стала Кортана, знакомая всем поклонникам Halo.
Как и в игре, её озвучивала актриса Джен Тейлор. В отличие от игрового прототипа из далёкого будущего, современная Кортана ещё только делает первые шаги.
Она выполняет поиск в интернете и на локальных носителях, но не владеет методами РЭБ и ещё не выучила русский. Поэтому для общения с ней в тестовой версии Windows 10 придётся переключить системный язык на английский.
Пригласить Кортану на первое свидание можно по-разному. Например, найдя её значок на панели задач или щёлкнув в строке поиска правой клавишей мыши. Изменение параметров её работы доступно в контекстном меню или из панели общих настроек. Просто напишите там её имя и сразу перейдёте в нужный раздел.
Можно попросить её откликаться на «Hey, Cortana!», чтобы полностью перейти на вербальный стиль общения. К сожалению, как и любой футуристический ИИ женского пола, Кортана поначалу ведёт себя строптиво. Она отказывается помогать вам, пока вы не активируете свою учётную запись Microsoft.
К аккаунту Microsoft в Windows 10 привязано очень многое. Синхронизации данных и настроек через OneDrive, использование современных приложений (включая встроенную почту и календарь), покупки в Windows Store и приобретение дополнительного контента, работа голосового помощника и планирование задач. С каждым новым билдом Windows 10 локальная учётная запись оказывается всё более ограниченной по своим возможностям.

Windows 10 build 9926 is the fourth Technical Preview build of Windows 10, which was released to Windows Insiders in all rings on 23 January 2015.
This is one of some publicly available builds to be compiled in the fbl_awesome1501 branch, a replacement for the fbl_release branch. All following publicly available builds would be compiled in the fbl_impressive branch, which was confirmed by Gabe Aul, as of 2 November 2015.
