Существует как минимум два разных способа обновления Windows 10 до новой сборки: средствами встроенного компонента «Центр обновления» и с помощью установочного образа.

Способ 1: Центр обновлений

Выбирая этот способ, нужно быть готовым к тому, что Windows 10 обновится до актуальной на данный момент сборки. На момент написания этой инструкции актуальной сборкой является 21H1.

Откройте приложение «Параметры» и перейдите в раздел «Обновление и безопасность» → «Центр обновления Windows» и нажмите кнопку «Проверить наличие обновлений»

Способ 2: Установочный образ

Если нужно обновить Windows 10 именно до сборки 20H2, а не самой последней, следует использовать установочный образ Windows 10 20H2, скачанный с официального сайта Microsoft. Сейчас эта версия для скачивания на сайте отсутствует, поэтому она либо должна быть скачана в формате ISO с сайта производителя заранее, либо придется воспользоваться сторонними источниками на ваш выбор.

Владельцам сборок Win10 1511—1607—1703—1809-1903-1909-20H1-20H2-21H1 от OVG!
Инструкция для тех, кто обновляет свою систему либо с сайта Microsoft установкой соответствующего обновления, либо со сборки новой версии методом обновления из под ОС с сохранением настроек и параметров. Прежде, чем производить обновление ОС до новой версии рекомендую проделать ниже перечисленные действия.
Если установка обновления или со сборки заканчивается ошибкой.

Для перехода на новую версию системы 20H1-20H2-21H1-21H2-22H2 с версий 1511 — — 1709 — — 1809 — 1903 методом обновления рекомендуется:
— удалить UltraUXThemePatcher патчер из панели управления — удаление программ.
— включить стандартную тему оформления рабочего стола в персонализации.
— если запущена программа OldNewExplorer, установить в ней заводские настройки (снять все галочки — uninstall).
— StartIsBack++ желательно обновить до новой версии или удалить.
Скачать новые версии можно с облака mail.ru

Темы оформления рабочего стола от всех старых версий 1511 — — 1809 — — 1903 не совместимы с новыми 2004 (20H1) — — 22H2.
Удалите их из папки C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

Скачать новые версии можно с облака mail.ru, с сайта разработчика утилит: UltraUXThemePatcher, StartIsBack++.

Для перехода на новую версию системы 1709-1803-1809 с 1703-1709-1803 методом обновления рекомендуется:
— удалить UltraUXThemePatcher патчер из панели управления — удаление программ.
— включить стандартную тему оформления рабочего стола в персонализации.
— если запущена программа OldNewExplorer, установить в ней заводские настройки (снять все галочки — uninstall).
— StartIsBack++ желательно обновить до новой версии или удалить.

Темы оформления рабочего стола от старой 1703 совместимы с версией 1709, 1803 и 1809.[/color]
Внимание! Не обновляйте систему до версии 1809, если у вас установлены пакеты иконок. Обязательно удалите их иначе обновление приведёт к краху системы.

Прежде, чем устанавливать обновление до новой версии 10-ки RS1\RS2 1607\1703, нужно проделать следующие действия:
— удалить UxStyle или UltraUXThemePatcher патчер из панели удаления программ.
— включить стандартную тему оформления рабочего стола в персонализации.
— если запущена программа OldNewExplorer, установить в ней заводские настройки (снять все галочки — uninstall).
— StartIsBack++ желательно обновить до новой версии или удалить.
— в папке C:-Windows-Resources-Themes-aero удалить папку aerolite.msstyles (для 1511)
— в папке C:-Windows-Resources-Themes-aero переименовать файл aerolite.msstyles.bak в aerolite.msstyles (для 1511)

Внимание! Не пытайтесь на новой версии запускать темы оформления рабочего стола от старой (1511\1607), они не совместимы!

UPDATED 2/26/2021: Windows 10 20H2 (October 2020 Update) is now slowly rolling out to compatible devices, and here is how to install the feature update manually on devices running version 2004, 1909, or an older version.

Although it’s recommended to wait until Windows Update offers the new feature update automatically to make sure you don’t run into problems, there are at least a couple of ways to upgrade manually using the Windows Update settings and Media Creation Tool.

If you have a device already running version 2004, the best way to install version 20H2 is using Windows Update. The reason is that both versions of Windows 10 are virtually the same, and you only need an enablement package to switch versions without reinstallation.

On the other hand, if you have a computer with version 1909 or an older version, you can also use the Windows Update settings, but it might take a while until you receive the new version. If you want to force the upgrade, you can use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool to perform an in-place upgrade, which is virtually the same as using Windows Update or Update Assistant. During the process, your files, apps, and settings will not be affected.
