В операционных системах Windows миниатюры предоставляют возможность предпросмотра содержимого свернутого окна приложения. Они появляются, когда мы наводим мышкой на иконку программы в панели задач:
Это не всем может показаться удобно, например, можно случайно провести мышкой — миниатюра появится, закрыв часть рабочего стола, но при этом не пропадет автоматически, пока не кликнешь в любую часть рабочего стола.
Отключение данной возможности выполняется в реестре. Для этого открываем командную строку от имени администратора — правой кнопкой по Пуск — Windows PowerShell/Командная строка (администратор):
Вводим команду:
reg add «HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced» /v ExtendedUIHoverTime /t REG_DWORD /d 10000 /f
* данная настройка приведет к тому, что миниатюра будет открываться, если мы держим мышку на иконке приложения в панели задач в течение 10 секунд. Получается, не совсем правильно говорить, что мы отключили ее, но мешать она уже не будет.
После перезагружаем проводник одним из приемлемых способов:
- Перезапустить explorer (проводник) в диспетчере задач.
- Выйти из сеанса пользователя, снова войти.
- Перезагрузить компьютер.
Графический интерфейс
Если удобнее внести изменения в графическом интерфейсе, то открываем редактор реестра, введя команду:
regedit
… или с помощью поиска Windows.
Переходим по пути HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced — создаем или редактируем параметр ExtendedUIHoverTime (тип REG_DWORD) с десятичным значением 10000:
Перезагружаем проводник.

On Windows 10, every time you hover over an app icon in the taskbar you get a small pop-over preview of the app’s window. If you happen to have multiple windows or tabs of that app open, that preview expands to show every one of them. They can be useful — clicking one takes you straight to that app. But sometimes it just gets in the way. Thankfully, you can disable this feature. It’s not as easy as it used to be, but there’s a workaround for killing app preview thumbnails on Windows 10.
In this Windows 10 guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to edit the Registry to disable Taskbar thumbnail preview, and only make them appear when clicking the app button.
How to disable Taskbar thumbnails
Important: As always, this is a friendly reminder to let you know that editing the registry is risky, and it can cause irreversible damage to your installation if you don’t do it correctly. It’s recommended to make a full backup of your PC before proceeding.
To disable Taskbar thumbnails on Windows 10, do the following:
- Use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command
- Type regedit, and click OK to open the registry.
- Browse the following path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced - Select the System (folder) key, and right-click on the right side, select New, and click on DWORD (32-bit) Value.
- Name the new DWORD ExtendedUIHoverTime and press Enter.
- Double-click the newly created DWORD and change its value to 30000.
- Click OK.
- Close the Registry.
- Restart your computer to complete the task.
It’s important to note that Windows 10 doesn’t have a particular option to turn off Taskbar thumbnail, but we can use the ExtendedUIHoverTime Registry tweak to delay the time to show the previews as an alternative workaround.
In the steps, we used the value 30000, which represents the delay time in milliseconds. This means that we’re delaying thumbnails to appear on hover for 30 seconds, which should be more than enough to effectively disable the feature.
Once you completed the steps, you will no longer see Taskbar previews when hovering over apps, but you will still be able to see the thumbnails by clicking the app button, which is less intrusive.

At any time you can revert the changes by following the steps, but on step 6 change the value from 30000 to 0. Alternatively, you can right-click and select Delete to remove the ExtendedUIHoverTime DWORD.

Как отключить эскизы (миниатюры) окон на панели задач в Windows 10
Чтобы отключить эскизы (миниатюры) окон на панели задач, запустите редактор реестра, для этого нажмите сочетание клавиш + R, в открывшемся окне Выполнить введите regedit и нажмите кнопку OK.
В открывшемся окне редактора реестра перейдите по следующему пути:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\Advanced
Затем в разделе Advanced создайте новый параметр DWORD (32-бита) (обратите внимание на то, что 32-битный DWORD параметр создается как в 32-разрядной так и в 64-разрядной операционной системе), присвойте созданному параметру имя ExtendedUIHoverTime.
Теперь дважды щёлкните левой кнопкой мыши по созданному параметру ExtendedUIHoverTime, в открывшемся окне Изменение параметра DWORD (32-бита), установите систему исчисления Десятичная, а в качестве его значения установите количество миллисекунд по иcтечении которых миниатюра окна будет отображаться и нажмите кнопку OK.
В данном примере установлено значение 60000, что равно 60 секундам (1000 миллисекунд = 1 секунде).
Чтобы изменения вступили в силу необходимо перезапустить Проводник Windows. Также можно выйти из системы и повторно войти, или перезагрузите компьютер.
Теперь при наведении курсора мыши на значки открытых приложений в панели задач, миниатюра (эскиз) будет отображаться по истечении времени которое Вы установили в качестве значения параметра ExtendedUIHoverTime.
Для восстановления настроек по умолчанию, удалите параметр ExtendedUIHoverTime и перезапустите Проводник Windows
Когда у вас открыто несколько окон приложения в Windows 10, на панели задач при наведении курсора вы можете видеть — небольшой предварительный эскиз каждого активного окна. Это то, что мы часто делаем бессознательно, без раздумий. Это работает со всеми приложениями. Нет необходимости нажимать на иконку. Step 4. Now, check or uncheck the following to enable or disable the Taskbar Thumbnail Preview feature in Windows 11/10:-
- Enable Peek
- Save taskbar thumbnail previews
- Show thumbnails instead of icons
Step 5. Click Apply.
Step 6. Click OK.
Step 7. Reboot your computer or laptop to apply the changes.
How to Enable or Disable Taskbar Thumbnail Preview through Local Group Policy Editor?
Using Local Group Policy Editor, you can also enable or disable Taskbar Thumbnail Preview on Windows 11/10 PC. Perform the following recommended steps:-
Step 1. Open Local Group Policy Editor.
Step 2. In the Local Group Policy Editor window, navigate to the following path from the left side pane:-
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar
Step 3. On the right side pane of the Start Menu and Taskbar, look for the policy name “Turn off Taskbar Thumbnails” and double-click on it to open its settings.
Step 4. Select Enabled.
Step 5. Click Apply.
Step 6. Click OK.
Step 7. Reboot your computer to apply the policy.
After doing the above steps, it should not show the Taskbar Thumbnails Preview.
How to Enable or Disable Taskbar Thumbnail Preview using Registry Editor?
