После загрузки программы проверил её на вирус тотал (www.virustotal.com). Проверка не показывает вирусов, но сам файл программы оказывается иным: «suf_launch.exe». Нашёл в Гугле, что это Троян, вредоносная программа, которая может установить удалённое управление Вашим компьютером, либо повредить файлы. Размер файла: 55,43 МБ. Ставить не советую. Также при проверке на VirusTotal обращайте внимание на реальное наименование загруженного файла. Если файл «не тот», лучше сразу удалите его с компьютера. Остерегайтесь также файла «WEXTRACT.EXE». Это системный файл. Если Вы его загрузили вместо нужной Вам программы — дело не чисто! Он может заменить Ваш «родной» файл, чем это может закончиться — можно только догадываться…
Одним словом — всё загруженное — проверяйте на Вирус Тотал. Если что-то заподозрили — сразу удаляйте!

После запуска Windows Repair — пришлось подождать около часа-
Результат -ДОВОЛЕН!
Восстановлены windows программы !
Удалены лишние обрывки!

АХМАТ про Windows Repair 3.9.35 [03-07-2017]

Я тоже жертва windows-repair.При первом запуске, комп завис намертво.Черный экран и ни малейшей реакции. Включение и выключение через шнур питания.Пришлось удалять виндовс без сохранения данных.И вот полмесяца мучаюсь востановлением.Может кто посоветует качественную прогу- оптимизатор.Жду с нетерпением.

А если тебе здорово «повезло» и тебе всучили кирпич вместо смартфона — ОТ ДУШИ ПОЗДРАВЛЯЕМ ТЕБЯ и подобных тебе с покупкой кирпича. Но причем тут Владимир!? Приобрёл платную лицензионную программу Reimage (около 3000 р.) и с её «помощью» произвёл сканирование своего ноутбука «acer» а затем смело и гордо нажал на кнопку «произвести ремонт» и… это оказалось последнее мгновение жизни моего замечательного ноутбука. Первое что появилось это то что ноутбук напрочь перестал загружаться и никакие восстановления и пр. не помогали. В ремонтной мастерской проверили жёсткий диск и показали что он весь побит. Пришлось покупать новый диск 4500 р. и переустанавливать операционку — 1200 р. Теперь я точно знаю, что бы угробить ноутбук нужно всего 8000 р. вместе с программой Reimage. Может у кого круче получилось? Давай, колитесь!

версиями.Нарушение загрузки с жесткого диска теоретически возможно-от неудачного применения.Модифицированные версии Windows может и не восстановить. А уж что бы: «Reimage Repair жёсткий диск весь побил.» Он вполне мог уже ломаться ко времени ремонта ,если возникла необходимость в такой программе.По крайне мере больше не пишут что меняли жёсткие диски.Отзывы об мастерской может поискать — если они решили что программа виновата.

1. the requested rights to run, in this case TI has similar rights as SYSTEM, could go worse.
   in case of a windows repair or more the TI is mandatory.

   anyhow the digital signature could not verify, not only from hitman, others moan same (not allowed to give it a name here):

   further investigation points out that the signer is no longer valid, ended in 2015
   «comodo time stamping signer» ended 11-05-2015 (may.11.2015)

   for a paid product this is really poor.
   at least, if it dont invoke DISM or SFC repair is futile.

2. It does both and you can use if for free.

3. The website «Tweaking.com» seems to have a new owner. «Tweaking.com» doesn’t provide any additional information. As far as I know, the old owner didn’t post any new posts in the last (1, 2 ??) year ? The new owner seems to be «Singular Labs».

5. Shane has always been the owner. I didn’t know until know, that he is also was the coder of CCEnchancer. Windows Repair continues to get regular updates.

   I thought Shane from Windows repair was Shane Croft and that the CCenhancer Shane was Shane Gowland ?
   I may be wrong of course.

   I only own 5% of tweaking now. So its under new control lol

   I did buy a new domain that I’m going to be making software on but it isn’t up just yet.

   Windows repair burned me out, and honestly my divorce in 2017 really broke me, when you find out about your brother and wife it can brake a man. So with all that and the stress of Windows repair I was glad to let it go.

   I am much better now, I’m 44 and in the best shape Ive ever been in mentally and physically. I’m ready to get back to my old self and get back to programming.

   The new site, which isn’t up yet is going to be pure me, no business partners and such. I am working on a drive cleaner right now and then will come up with other ideas. This time programs I don’t need to stress about as I had to with Windows Repair lol

   The domain I bought is SirSoft.io for Sirs Software lol, Trying to think of a logo design that I will use A.I to help me make, either a knights helmet or a top hat and mustache lol

   I have been gone for a while, life knocked me out, took so time but I got up, brushed myself off and now I’m back.

    Here is one idèa.

    1 reason that people do not use Windows restore point feature is, besides that it is slow, it is not good enough at restoring. It omitts certain files when restoring so therefore it is not safe to use. Here on Wilders many talk about fast backup and restores and many use the fastest of them all, RollbackRX. It restores in the time it takes to reboot and it only restores the boot partition and choosen drives like C:, D: E: etc. It more or less does what Windows restore point function does, but it restores everything on the chosen partitions.

    During the years i have used Windows i have many times wonder why someone that can, has not improved the mentioned restore function in Windows by building a program that can and then make lots of money on it. Because it will be selling VERY good and easy with the right price. Common Windows users would have a good restore point option that works well and reliable enough to be worth using, and not hidden deep in Windows so it is hard to find. Many Windows users do not even know the feature exists. With mentioned feature a restore would be simpler to do than restoring with a backup program for those who is satisfied with this minor restore functionality.

    So, create a program that can do what Windows restore point features does, but a bit faster and restoring everything on C:, and you will have a moneymaker. That i can ensure. I think you can see that too. Maybe use Windows function and tweak it a bit.

    Here is another idèa.

    Now when KC Software is going to shut down and there will be no Sumo = sotfware updater, in the future, create one.

    It only has find all the program on the Pc and tell if they have updates. No program, that i am aware of, can do this. None. It does not have to be able to download and install them, just find and tell. To be able to actually find all programs, it probably has to have the ability to «Add», manually, programs to it from the Pc system.

15. Hi all. I was formerly a daily visitor to the Tweaking.com Forums website. I dealt with Tom Boggin often over the years. I had been away for almost a year. When I returned a couple of weeks ago, I noted that the Computer Support Forum, in particular, was being spammed like crazy, something that never happened while Tom was active as the Moderator. There was a message in one of their Forums some time ago wherein Tom complained that Shane was blocking his emails, see this post. I can’t gain access at all to the Forum any longer, signed in or not, using Chrome and Edge.

    I tried sending a PM to Shane, Julian, and Tom about the spamming issue a few weeks ago. My PM to Shane was immediately refused delivery; the same PM to Tom and Julian appeared to have been sent but never showed in my Tweaking Forum OutBox. I never got a reply. The Forum site appeared to me to be on autopilot, with no pilot!

    About a week ago, I did post a topic in the Computer Support Forum that the spammers were taking over.

    I last successfully logged in a few days ago. On the 7th, when I tried to log in, I was greeted with the message:

    «An Error Has Occurred!
    Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
    Spamming
    This ban is not set to expire.«

    I have never spammed any site. I am assuming that someone got overzealous. I am guessing that because my legitimate post expressing concern about the spammers was in that Forum that was being spammed, I was included among the «guilty.» I would like to get reinstated and my name removed from any spammer listings. I was never given any reason for being banned. I am going to try reaching out to Tweaking.com Support and Singular Labs. I have two Windows Repair Pro licenses and two System Ninja 4 Pro licenses. I have been contributing to Bleeping Computer and other Forums for many years now. I can provide a list of those Forums if required. I am confident that the owners/moderators will vouch for me.

    Yes, I did. I initially posted in the Staff Forums at Bleeping Computer, trying to determine if the site was down, or if I had been banned. Grinler replied to my post with that link and said that he would reach out to Shane.

    I really appreciate you pointing it out though. I would have been unaware of that post by Shane if Grinler had not known of it. I have not been active here in years, and I plan to change that. Lots of good information here.

18. Just an update. I got replies from both Tweaking.com Support and Singular Labs.

    The «Shane» at Singular Labs is «Shane Gowland.» He made no mention of Singular Labs having an ownership stake in Tweaking.com in his reply to me, in fact, he stated: «I’m afraid that we don’t have any association with Tweaking.com.» He also stated he does get confused with the other Shane.

    The «Shane» at Tweaking.com is/was Shane Croft. See this link: https://www.tweaking.com/author/shane/

    So we don’t know who has ownership stakes in Tweaking.com right now, at least, I don’t.

    The good news is that Tweaking.com is going to investigate my banning:

19. Well, it has been a month since I was banned at the Tweaking.com Forums. A company called «Fortect.com» is apparently responsible for the «security» of the Tweaking.com Forums. I have been emailing them weekly, but getting nowhere fast. Below is their latest reply.

    Every time I email them, they reply that they are investigating. They will not identify the alleged spam message or disclose any reason for my banning.

24. Just an update. I did PM Shane, and he responded. The ban was lifted about a week ago. No one contacted me, not Shane or Fortect. I just discovered it when I tried to login, which I was trying every two or three days.

    I emailed Fortect to inquire why I was not informed of the results of their investigation. No reply received. I also PM’d Shane again. Again, no reply.

    The «Computer General Support» Forum is still being spammed with about eight or so posts daily.

    More interestingly, on another Forum, I had occasion to recommend to the user that he get the Tweaking.com Registry Backup program that Shane wrote. I was astonished that the only software shown as available on the Tweaking.com site two days ago was the Windows Repair tool. All of the other Tweaking.com software apps had disappeared. I referred that user to the Bleeping Computer website, which does offer that download.

    Draw your own conclusions . . .

Cons: Destroyed 2 of my old storage hard drives, I lost 2tb of old saved stuff. And the creator has done a very good job of insulating himself from ANY contact. Even the «support forum» is fake. I see the reviews are either 5 star or 1 star. Who is being honest? Bottom line, I wish I never used it.

Bottom Line: Maybe fix your problems, maybe make things worse. Reminds me of the old Norton anti-virus, which caused more problems than any virus could.

Bottom Line: After downloading it, my gut told me to uninstall it, because I knew it would screw-up my computer. Too scary for me.

I bought the Pro version. Some of the tweaks in the Pro version I can’t find anywhere. It did restore a messed up Windows Insider build in its Safe Mode repair and the author is activiely updating it.

I liked it so much that I donated and got the Pro version.

@FreeSpeech — My Pc’s are imaged regularly & can be restored in a matter of minutes — This program can be useful in repairing PC’s used by those who don’t image & backup, these things can be done manually of course but it’s still a useful program IMO ~

An advanced user would never use this garbage.
This is for n00bz that don’t have a clue about imaging and backups. Most of these n00bz «think» they are advanced PC users.
Then when the n00b uses this, windows is detstroyed!

@BANDIT: How can you review something you haven’t used, your comments are therefore worthless, you also assume the rest of us are idiots or this is our first day working with PC’s. — As below not to be used on an OK PC, but can be useful with a machine with issues.

In most cases I have used this software on the computers are to corrupt to save this is a last ditch effort. But it does what it says ….and if you think a windows restore points going to help you good luck, use Acronis and clone your hard disk before playing a game of Operation

when all else fails give it a try ! a very good tool to repair damage done by viruses after the virus is removed . Like so many other tools their is no all in wonder. But this tool is very handy and can be very deadly in the wrong hands, not for the novice, more for the expert!

I find the program very helpful. On my elderly Windows7 system, I could not create System-resore-points more.
Even Windows updates could not download and install more. After a run of Tweaking.com — Windows Repair everything was back in order.

Can be a useful tool on a messed up PC ~

I wouldn’t run it unless you have major issues, although regular imaging is by far the best way to keep a Windows PC running, which will sort just about any problem out in minutes ~ Yet many still rely on good luck ~ Very strange ~

Nice tight little repair tool. Like all programs that attempt to make repairs to your registry and other critical system files, this should be used with caution. Know what it is changing before you run it or back up your sys files. As to Dbrain, a troll, is a troll, is a troll. The program contains no malware. None

This program does not contain any Malware, that I am aware of. It’s really useful for us PC service tech’s that work in the business, and dangerous for some regular users. You should know what you are doing, and what all of these fixes are actually doing. Many of these fixes can be done manually, through registry edits, but this program simplifies things.

I would hardly consider this to be malware. Like all tools that mess around with the system files they either make or break the system. Thus the number one rule for these types of applications is to first make an image backup of your system. This program attempts to fix the system and it just keeps getting better and better. If you run into bugs problems you should let them know on their forum as the developer is always polishing the product. It’s free and I find it to be very helpful.

Be very Cautious on what you chose to repair with this software, this might be great software BUT after it was all done my Win 7 system actually needed to be restored (It was trashed, make sure U have a FULL Back-up) after I chose Advanced mode.

Just what happened to me, maybe it will be GREAT for you!!

Like most people who grew up more than half a century ago , the only thing I do well with computers is completely and thoroughly screwing them up. As a result, I’ve tried virtually every fix Windows utility ever made and this one is, hands down, the best. Absolutely brilliant.

Brilliantly simple! Nothing unusual here, just a basic set of existing internal windows commands — hidden behind an easy-to-use shell.

Best of all, looks like no way to screw things up! Really nicely done program.

Just spent a few hours updating and repairing my nephew’s computer. I was looking for a tool that would repair the repository and the WMI when I stumbled upon this freebie. I ran it on his computer and it was all automatic. I have now included this with my bundle of software tools when family and friends call on me to fix their computer. This program is a gem.

IO, I had the same issue. Use it in safe mode. Still very good.

I’ve used previous version without a hitch. when I ran this version NIS & Prevx both stooped the program running as they considered it Malware. anyone else had any issues as I liked the program?

   My Windows Repair program has been running for 36 hrs. non-stop. It’s been on repair 8 all this time. It’s not stuck as I can see the cpu percentage is changing so I know it’s running. Is this normal? I’m afraid to shut the program off because it says it will cause problems.
