Chapter 3 Install Driver
This chapter introduces how to install your adapter’s driver in different Windows systems. This chapter includes the following sections:
•For Windows XP
•For Other Windows Systems
1. For Windows XP
This section will guide you through the installation for Windows XP.
1.Insert the resource CD into your CD drive.
Note:
You can also find and download the driver at https://www.tp-link.com/download-center
2.Right-click My Computer on the desktop and click Manage.
3.Open Device Manager. Go to Other Devices, right-click Ethernet Controller, and then click Update Driver…
4.Select No, not this time, and then click Next.
5.Select Install from a list or specific location[Advanced], and click Next.
6.Choose Network adapters from the drop-down list , and then click Next.
7.Click Have Disk…
8.Click Browse…
9.Go to My computer > CDXXX(H:) > TG-3468 > Drivers > Windows XP, choose the .inf file, and then click Open.
10.Click OK.
11.Click Next.
Note:
If prompted to ‘The software has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP’, click Continue Anyway to continue.
12.Click Finish to complete the installation.
2. For Other Windows Systems
This section will guide you through the installation for other Windows systems, including Windows 7/Vista/8/8.1/10.
1. Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive.
2. Right-click Computer, and then click Manage.
3. Open Device Manager. Go to Other Devices and right-click Ethernet Controller; then click Update Driver Software…
OR
Open Device Manager. Go to Network adapters, right-click Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller, and click Update driver…
4. Select Browse my computer for driver software.
5. Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
6. For Windows 7/Vista: Choose Show All Devices, and then click Next.
7. Click Have Disk…
8. Click Browse…
9. Go to Computer > CDXXX(H:) > TG-3468 > Drivers > Windows X (32bit or 64bit), choose the .inf file, and then click Open.
10. Click OK.
11. Select Gigabit PCI Express Network Adapter (for Windows Vista/8) or TP-Link Gigabit PCI Express Adapter (for other systems), and click Next.
OR
12. Wait a few seconds.
13. Click Close to finish the installation.
Note:
For Windows Vista: If prompted to Windows can’t verify the publisher of this driver software, click Install this driver software anyway to continue.

hello can you point me in the right direction for the drivers for windows 10 for the TP LINK TG-3468 v1.1 or at least ones that are confirmed compatible with windows 10 I can’t see any on the TP link website for this item also is there a version that has a executable so it installs them for you ?
all the website says is
DOS/Win98SE/Me/2000/XP/Vista/7/Linux/Novell Netware

Have you tried the windows 7 one? Pretty good chance it will work on newer versions as well.

I’d just give them all a go. I suspect, as Anfield said, the V1 Win7 driver will work either natively or under compatibility mode. The V2 and V3 card versions may also work if they have the same controller chip on the card.
alternatively, if you’ve already installed it in your rig, has the Win10 automatic driver search come up with anything? It’s pretty good at finding something to work most bits of hardware in my experience

I got those drivers for a friend there not for me
but there isn’t a executable file for it to get on with installing itself. I don’t know how to install them & I doubt my friend does either

If compressed, extract the ZIP file somewhere. You should have a bunch of crap plus an INF file (something.inf.)
Start Menu, type «Device Manager,» open it. Find the network card in the list of installed hardware — it’ll probably have a question mark (Windows doesn’t know what it is) or exclamation mark (Windows doesn’t have a driver for it.) Right-click, Properties. Driver tab. «Install or Update Driver, «»Install driver manually.» «Browse for driver» (or something, I’m paraphrasing from memory ‘ere), browse to the folder you extracted the ZIP from with the INF file in it, «Open.»
Chugdy-chugdy-chug. «Windows has successfully installed your new hardware.»

I believe I know what you mean how to do it anyway if he doesn’t work it out & asks me I will give it a go thank you
