Это было видно на изменении трафика. FTP-соединение, к слову, возросло в десять раз — сначала я не поверил своим глазам. И обычные HTTP/HTTPS соединения тоже стали быстрее.
Для объективности замечу, что, несмотря на такие увеличенные показатели скорости, визуально они не всегда заметны, или кажутся меньшими, чем в 2 раза.
На мой взгляд, все зависит от конкретного соединения, провайдера, магистралей, по которым идет ваш трафик, а также от характеристик сайта. Например, если на странице много «тяжеловесных» изображений, флеш-игр, видео и рекламы, она может долго загружаться.
Тем не менее, с помощью Throttle реально стабилизировать интернет-канал и увеличить скорость, насколько это возможно.
В заключение, основная особенность Throttle заключается в том, что она не «приоритизирует» интернет-трафик отдельных приложений и протоколов, а просто расширяет возможности существующего соединения с сетью посредством однократной настройки (за счет использования не всегда документированных особенностей операционной системы) и не устанавливает дополнительных служб, в отличие от других аналогичных решений.
