Проблема такая- пробовал с разных мест качать драйвера, и с оффсайта тоже, но везде одно и то же, при попытке установки, предлагает установить все, кроме драйвера дисплея. Началось все с того, что старый драйвер удалил программой DDU. При попытке запустить вручную пакет с драйвером пишет «This package is not compatible with the platform of
Microsoft Windows you are running.
This application will now abort.».

Just change [ATI.Mfg.NTamd64.10.0] to [ATI.Mfg.NTamd64.6.3] in the *.inf file and it will work.

just a note, if you do that , make sure you install the driver manually, since the install manager won’t like it most likely
-
did not know it was that easy
:infinity:THX -
c1: just a quick question …..do i do a manual installation for just Display or do i need to do it for WMD and amdkmafd too
(Asking because i lost the ability to change my clock with afterburner)
EDIT:looks like i just need to launch the game first and click default a bunch of times.Last edited by a moderator: Feb 18, 2017

Just for Display.
When you are not playing any game, amd gpu is in low-power mode and afterburner can’t measure its clocks. So if you want to overclock it, launch the game first, then the afterburner. -

you will probably need to reinstall afterburner, it gets kinda glitchy if you don’t.

So far these drivers work on my Win10 system with my cards.
AMD Radeon HD 8650G + R5 M200 Dual Graphics
AMD Radeon R5 M200 / HD 8500M Seriesunfortunately I have no settings in the catalyst control center.
When i click on switchable graphics settings I end up with
and when I enter the graphics settings it looks like
What can I do to get setting for AA and switchable graphics back?
//EDIT:
Windows update always overwrite these drivers with compatibility mode drivers. How can I stop/prevent this?Last edited: Feb 21, 2017

Whenever I try to install the display driver it gives me the error «This package is not compatible with the platform of Microsoft Windows you are running. This application will now abort.»
I’m running windows 10 x64 with a radeon 6850.
EDIT: I’ve tried using DDU to clean install it in safe mode, then it gave a driver detection error both on the CCC and crimson versions. Tried it out of safe mode after and only official drivers would work. I haven’t been able to find anyone else with this issue so far :c

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us…driver-update-from-reinstalling-in-windows-10 Sorry help you there only thing i can suggest is a clean install of windows.
I think that people with switchable graphics should probably avoid using these, I do not have the capability of checking for problems on such systems.
I will add a disclamer.I would suggest trying the leshcat driver packs for such systems since they are centered around swtchable graphics.

i was looking for such version for my 6650m under windows 7 , but it seems all the package (driver/ hdmi / amd setting ..etc) are the same as the one i had already (i have 16.2 lastest official release). i dont understant why . can anyone pls tell me what i did wrong ?

i wanted to add that i did found tutorial on how to install modded driver manualy using «have disk» option to browse for inf file . but still when i browse to the display driver inf under «display» package it say that the inf is incompatible and that i need check if it contain driver for x64, i did change windows7 to «test version» and disable the signature check on the reboot . so pls can anyone just tell me what i’m missing ? how to just install without this problme ?
and thx -

Was it that hard to read a handful of posts more?
The solution for your problem is here. W7 being NTamd64.6.1For the remainder, should you have more problems (say, with switchable graphics) better if you check leshcatlabs.
EDIT: and no, of course these drivers are newer. «Driver structure» or «names» don’t mean anything.

thank you , and sorry even if i did read this post i woudnt understand the meaning but i did found a detailed tutorial so i see now how it is supposed to be , i did change to «6.1» and seems to be working .
thank again -
Thanks so much. I usually upgrade cards only when they have a 10x raw performance improvement. At the moment the RX480 is a mere 3.5 time’s HD6970. I feel stabbed in the back by amd for quitting support on these cards and for not making them DX12 compatible.
-
10x raw performance…AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Welcome in 2024. You made my day…LOL!!!

eh, amd really couldn’t make them dx12 compatible if they wanted to, the 5000/6000 series are suped up versions of the hd 4000 series, They simply don’t have the neccessary hardware features to support dx12/vulkan.
Even if you worked around the limitations of its scheduler and other limitations with soft emulation like nvidia did with kepler, the biggest reason is that the memory subsystem isn’t capable of supporting virtual memory pools like fermi and gcn + which is neccessary for wddm 2.0 and vulkan, it is very similar to the hd 4870 and earlier cards.a lower level api for terascale gpus would be possible, but it would have to be designed with terascales quirks in mind, which mantle, dx12 , and vulkan do not have provisions for.

Facing Radeon Software Warning on Windows 11. Fix The Version of AMD Radeon Software you have launched is not compatible Error in Windows 11.
There are several reasons why the “The Version of AMD Radeon Software you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics driver” error shows up on the screen. I have looked up the AMD official site, and I found interesting information regarding the error.
However, I had a completely different scenario, and it doesn’t add up in my case. I will show you how to fix the AMD Control Panel and graphics drivers in Windows 11. Do not miss a single part in the tutorial since I have shown you how to resolve the problem in Win 11.
1. Roll Back Graphics Drivers
I want to show you how to roll back graphics card drivers and stop Windows from updating it automatically from its library. The administrator account is required to roll back drivers in the Win 11 machine.
- Press the “Start” key.
- Search for “Device Manager” in the search bar and open it.
- Click on the drop-down icon beside “Display Drivers”.
- Your GPU will show up under “Display Drivers”.
Note: Gaming laptops have integrated GPU and discrete GPU.
Choose discrete GPU in the next step. Most of the integrated graphics are low-end chips, and they don’t come with advanced features in them.
- Select GPU component, then mouse-click to select “Properties”.
- A new window shows up on the screen, and select “Driver” from the main menu.
- Click on the “Roll Back Driver” option.
- Choose an option on why you are rolling back the driver, then click on the “Yes” option.
It’s a feedback form that informs the Windows Update and GPU vendor to improve parts of the upcoming drivers.
2. Reinstall GPU Drivers (Recommended)
I always uninstall GPU and Audio drivers completely from the machine and reinstall the updated drivers from the official site. My method will impact your machine performance positively and resolve the “The Version of AMD Radeon Software you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics driver” error.
I have separated the tutorial into four parts, so you don’t confuse yourself.
#1 Preparation
Download GPU drivers from the laptop manufacturer site.
You should head to the motherboard manufacturer website and download the GPU drivers from the official site.
Download Display Driver Uninstaller, otherwise known as DDU in the community. DDU is an open-source program that I have been using for almost three years.
#2 Boot into Windows Safe Mode
Windows Safe Mode loads Microsoft drivers only, and it is an integral part of the operating system. I solved several OS-related problems in Safe Mode, and it won’t harm your computer.
- Restart Windows PC, while holding the Shift key.
- Your PC will start, and “Recovery Options” will show up on the screen.
- Choose “Troubleshoot” and press the “Enter” key.
- Choose “Advanced options” and press the “Enter” key.
- Choose “Startup Settings” and press the “Enter” key.
- Click on “Restart” or, and press the “Enter” key.
- Press the 4 key to boot into Safe Mode.
If the PC fails to boot into Safe Mode, then the software is officially corrupted. Try System Restore to bring back the system to an earlier point.
#3 Uninstall GPU Drivers
Let me show you a way to uninstall GPU drivers, and this method will not show any mercy to the remnants. DDU wipes out the GPU drivers and folders from the system, which is a viable solution among power users.
- Extract the DDU folder and extract the 7ZIP file as well.
- Run the program as administrator, then click on “OK” to proceed further.
- Click on “Close” and don’t change the default settings.
- Click to “Select Device Type” and select “GPU”.
- Choose “AMD” below.
- Click on “Clean and restart” and it is recommended by the DDU.
Display Driver Uninstaller will remove the GPU drivers and their supported components. Wait for five minutes for the entire uninstall process to finish, and it will land your machine into Windows 11 Lock Screen.
#4 Install AMD GPU Drivers
It’s time to install the compatible AMD drivers in the Windows 11 machine. You shouldn’t download the package from the AMD official site and go to the manufacturer site instead. The manufacturer has tested the GPU drivers in the motherboard or laptop to ensure maximum compatibility. Do not skip a beat and read the entire article because I’ve shown you how to stop Windows from updating the drivers automatically.
- Run the AMD GPU setup file as administrator
- Let the executable file detect the AMD hardware.
- Click on “Additional options” to select “Factory reset”, then click on “Install”.
- AMD setup file begins installing the drivers in the system.
- Click on “Restart now”, or you can take two minutes to save the work running in the background.
- The driver setup wizard shows up after the PC restart.
- Click on “Restart” to complete the installation.
- You can note down the working driver’s version.
New AMD GPU drivers are installed on the PC. You won’t face the problem again until or unless, there are hardware-level issues. Make sure to try the below solutions and prevent Windows Update from updating the GPU drivers.
How to Stop Windows Update from updating AMD GPU drivers?
Save the web page in the bookmarks, if you ever want to revert the changes.
- Press the Start button.
- Copy & paste the following command and press the Enter key to open it.
systempropertiesadvanced.exe
- A window shows up on the screen and click on “Hardware” to continue.
- Click on “Device Installation Settings” to continue.
- A new window appears and select “No (your device might not work as expected)”, then click on “Save changes”.
- Click on “OK” to confirm the changes.
You should consider it a temporary fix and have to wait for Microsoft to fix the problem. They should allow the users to opt-out from auto-updates for individual components. Nonetheless, your GPU will work smoothly as long as you are installing the drivers from the motherboard manufacturer site or laptop manufacturer site.
Note: Many Windows 11 PCs are running on Windows 10 drivers. I had several computers which are no longer supported by the manufacturer, so there are no software updates available on the official site. You can purchase discrete GPU from Nvidia GT-series or pick up used graphics cards from the eBay or local market. I owned three discrete graphics cards, and all of them were purchased from the used online market. The worst-case scenario would be going back to Windows 10, which is not a deal-breaker in my opinion.
Conclusion
You should handle the desktop or laptop with care and Windows 11 drivers are unstable, which caused the “The Version of AMD Radeon Software you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics driver” error. I suggest the readers switch back to Win 10 and wait for a year or so for Win 11 to have a stable operating system and drivers. Let us know what do you think about our AMD GPU drivers solution in the comment section below.

If you’re using Windows Update to take care of your driver updates, the current situation for AMD users might serve as a warning. Users of Windows 10 and Windows 11 are finding that Microsoft is replacing their existing GPU drivers with older versions, leading to a range of issues.
Complaints are emerging that the error message «Windows Update may have automatically replaced your AMD driver» is appearing — and Microsoft has replaced it with one that is incompatible with AMD software. AMD has acknowledged the problem and offered up a solution.
- Microsoft releases PowerToys v0.70 update with powerful new Mouse Without Borders and file preview utilities
- Microsoft releases new Windows Backup app for Windows 11
- Windows 11 gains ‘never combined mode’ for taskbar buttons and the ability to see Wi-Fi passwords
In a support article entitled AMD Software Failed to Launch Because Windows Update Has Replaced the AMD Graphics Driver, AMD says that affected users «may encounter [a] warning when trying to launch AMD Software on some Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems including Mobile and All in One (AIO) platforms».
The company explains the cause of the issue:
Microsoft Windows Update installed a Universal Windows Platform (UWP) driver for your AMD Radeon™ Graphics product which is not compatible with the current installed version of AMD Software. This driver may have been provided to Microsoft by the manufacturer of your Mobile / All in One (AIO) system. Since there are now two versions of AMD Software installed on the system, users will encounter this warning when trying to launch the unsupported version of AMD Software.
The solution is to follow these steps:
- Stop Windows Update from installing drivers for your AMD Radeon graphics using System Properties, refer to the following Microsoft article for instructions. Depending on your Windows version, more advanced methods can be found by searching the Microsoft Online Community.
- Reinstall the AMD Software using the latest available package from AMD.com. You can find more information on how to install AMD Software here.
AMD adds: «For users that prefer to use UWP / customized drivers for their AMD Graphics, uninstall AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition™ through Windows Settings | Apps & features and continue to use the OEM customized driver software. Future updates will be provided by the OEM and/or Windows Update».
