The Dark Knight Rises app for Windows Phone is now available to all Lumia handsets. We last looked at the recently released app back when UK retailer Phones 4u announced availability of the limited edition Batman The Dark Knight Rises Lumia 900. Should you not be able to pick up the special Lumia 900, but own a Lumia Windows Phone, don’t fear as you can download the app and enjoy the experience.
What’s included in the app? Trailers, wallpapers and ringtones, as well as a countdown to when the film is set to premier. Coupled with the counter, the app displays the nearest theatres that will be showing the title, using the location of the user. Directions to theatres are available on-hand so it requires little effort to get planning for the big day.
Should you login and connect to your Foursquare account, you get to choose your side (Batman or Bane) and play a Foursquare-based mini-game titled Claim Gotham City. A map is presented to the user that enables locations to be taken over by either side (checking in), earning points and exclusive content. As well as taking over locations on your own, joint attacks can be performed with other players. It’s a fun twist.

The Dark Knight Rises
The Dark Knight Rises is more than a movie in this intense, immersive Xbox game ($6.99). After an eight-year absence, Bruce Wayne resumes his exploits as the Caped Crusader, with a complement of allies and enemies that tempt and test you at every turn—from the mysterious Selina Kyle to Bane, a lethal adversary bent on destroying Batman’s legacy. Following the heals of Amazing Spider-Man and Real Football 2013, which were launched last week, Gameloft has announced two more exciting games for Windows Phone. The Dark Knight Rises and Shark Dash have been released for Windows Phone under Xbox. The Dark Knight Rises is a game inspired from the original movie by the same name. Similar to previous titles from Gameloft, this one also requires phones with 1 GB of RAM, so lower memory devices like the Lumia 620 will not be able to run it.
The game is around 774MB in size, but you will require atleast 5GB of space on your phone to install it as it is a restriction on Windows Phone. It is priced at 6.99$ similar to its iOS and Android counterparts.

The second game announced by Gameloft is Shark Dash, which is a highly addictive game that takes the physics puzzler to fun new heights with a unique cartoonish style starring funny little bath toys.
Shark Dash for Windows Phone 8 costs 99 cents and is just 98 MB download and runs on devices with 512 MB of RAM, so it should work on all Windows Phone devices.

The Dark Knight Rises video game from Gameloft was released for iOS and Android the same day that the movie itself was released, which was July 20th, 2012. Now, exactly eight months later, Gameloft has finally released The Dark Knight Rises for Windows Phone users.
The game is basically a straight port of the same game that has been on other platforms. It’s a 3D action game, where you are Batman, and you go through the general storyline of The Dark Knight Rises. The game was quite good on iOS and Android, but the early reviews on Windows Phone say that the game isn’t properly optimized and the frame rate can get pretty bad on the Nokia Lumia 920.
Given the performance issues, it may not be worth the $6.99 to get a game that is 8 months old. We’d suggest that you at least wait for a performance update. If you want to try out the game anyway, just head over to the
