what do i do to stretch it?
“TransTaskbar” is a portable, small and free application which can make Windows Taskbar and Start Menu transparent. It might become useful if you are using Windows XP and want to get some transparency for eye candy effects or if you are using Windows Vista or 7 but can’t enjoy Aero interface because your Graphics card is not capable to run it.
It can be used in Windows XP, Vista and 7 and works very well without any problem.
The utility has been created by our friend “Solo-Dev” @ DA. You can download it using following link:

Extract the downloaded ZIP file and you’ll get 2 files in it: TTB.exe and TTB-UI.exe
You’ll need “TTB-UI.exe” file mostly. Run it and drag the slider to your desired value and click on “Apply” button. It’ll immediately make the Taskbar and Start Menu transparent.
TTB-UI.exe is a GUI application and it doesn’t allow to set the transparency below 25 and here comes the turn of TTB.exe which a command-line version of this application.
You can open a Command Prompt window and use TTB.exe in following format:
TTB transparency_value
For example, if you want to set transparency to 10, use following command:
TTB 10
Its a good utility for eye candy lovers.

Custom languages and themes
RetroBar supports custom languages and themes. You may install community-made theme files that you have downloaded in RetroBar Properties > Advanced.
You may manually install custom languages or themes by creating a Languages or a Themes directory in %localappdata%\RetroBar, and placing valid .xaml language or theme files there.
Themes use the XAML ResourceDictionary format. When creating a new theme, view the included example themes to get started.
Open-Shell Menu users
You may need to adjust some Open-Shell Menu settings for the best compatibility with RetroBar. We recommend the following settings:
- Controls > Windows Key opens > Open-Shell Menu
- Menu Look > Align start menu to working area
Right-click on the start menu icon and select Settings from the menu that opens up. This opens the Classic Shell Menu settings. Switch to the Taskbar tab in the window. There you find options to set the taskbar color, opacity, and texture.
Let us dig a little deeper. you can right-click on the Start button or the Taskbar and select the Properties command or you can open the Control Panel, select Appearance and Personalization, and then click the Taskbar and Start Menu icon.
How to make the taskbar transparent in Windows 10?
Other options of Taskbar Texturizer can make the taskbar transparent and apply a fade effect to the Start menu. The app can be set to automatically run at system startup. It has to remain active to keep the new settings, so you can minimize the frame to the system tray.

So, I made a Vista start menu skin for Classic Shell! It’s about 95-98% identical to the original, in both functionality and looks. There are still some issues I haven’t fixed yet, but let me explain the whole story.

It is designed to work even after a failed attempt to uninstall the software when some of the registry may be corrupted or some of the files may be missing.
Both 32 and 64-bit versions are supported. The same installer works for all versions.
