Product: HP ENVY Curved All-in-One — 34-b010qe CTO

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Envy All-in-One has an Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-7700T CPU @ 2.90GHz processor in a 1151 socket.  I have found Windows 11 compatible CPUs that I could upgrade in that socket, but I worry about compatibility with the rest of my system.  Can anyone recommend CPUs that are compatible with my system by serial number or familiarity with my product that could upgrade my system to Windows 11 compatibility?

I was looking at (Less than $200):

Intel Core i3-9100 Desktop Processor 4 Cores up to 4.2 GHz LGA1151 300 Series 65W

Intel Core i5-9600KF 3.7 GHz LGA 1151 (300 Series) CM8068403874410 Desktop Processor

I like my system and don’t want to upgrade to a totally new system.

I will buy the parts from HP at slightly higher prices if they help.

Now, this may be a long stretch, but I want to mention it anyway: it appears that the physical and I/O etc. dimensions of a related HP Envy AIO PC 34 b1xx motherboard (Canard with chipset H370) could possibly fit inside your AIO and could be fitted with a W11 compatible processor:

Thank you so much for the information.  Any advice on beta testing 11 on an unapproved CPU platform?  I can’t believe my system can’t run 11.  I upgraded my son’s pavillion notepad to 11 and it is a slug next to my desktop.  I did upgrade his hard drive later and find that much of his system performance was being dragged down by the storage but it still lags behind my desktop.

I wish Microsoft would just let one beta test 11 on your computer to help broaden the compatibility.

I would pay for it and take responsibility for having a system image to revert back to 10 if it doesn’t go well and even keep them in the loop.

It seems HP could test their platforms but I suppose obsolescence is part of their business plan.
