Помните я вам рассказывал про чудную тему для Window7 Bing Dynamic? Так вот, пользовался я ею достаточно долго, но внезапно возникла проблема с обновлением обоев. А конкретно рабочий стол стал просто черным, фоновые рисунки меняться не хотели и даже смена темы и установка валпейпера вручную не помогала.
Не знаю, что там в недрах винды переклинило, может ошибка какая в RSS-фиде темы…
Вообщем я уже было отчаялся, но, как оказалось, решается проблема очень просто:
Нужно удалить файлик slideshow.ini из папки
**%USERPROFILE%\\AppData\\Roaming\\Microsoft\\Windows\\Themes\\**
Затем установить фон рабочего стола.

If your version of Windows is still supported, you should always install the latest updates for Windows. To download and install these updates, use Windows Update in the Settings app.
Devices running an unsupported version of Windows will still function, but Microsoft doesn’t provide the following:

While you could continue to use your PC, without continued software and security updates your PC is at greater risk for viruses and malware. We recommend upgrading to a version of Windows that’s still supported. A new device that can run Windows 11 makes for an easy transition and a great experience.
Yes. If you continue to use an unsupported version of Windows, your PC will still work, but it’s more vulnerable to security risks and viruses. Your PC will continue to start and run, but you won’t receive software updates, including security updates, from Microsoft.

There currently aren’t free upgrade paths from unsupported versions of Windows to either Windows 10 or Windows 11. You can purchase Windows 11 from Microsoft or contact a retailer to learn about more options. You can upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 for free.
It’s easy to bring your files and photos to a new PC using OneDrive, a cloud storage service. You can back up and protect your files online in the cloud and then sync onto a new PC. Syncing the files between your new PC and the cloud allows you to store the file locally for offline use when you don’t have internet access. They’re also stored on the OneDrive service in the cloud where you can restore them if something happens. OneDrive can automatically keep the two versions in sync as changes are made.

Я недавно обновлял установку автоматического развертывания Windows, и одна из вещей, которые я хотел включить, — это обои для слайд-шоу с местом расположения моих обоев на моем сервере.. Это не так просто, как должно быть, но после того, как я немного поигрался, я понял, как это сделать довольно просто.
2 части нужны — рег скрипт и копирование файла (что я делаю через самораспаковывающийся архивный файл).
Сценарий reg выглядит следующим образом
Версия редактора реестра Windows 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER Панель управления Персонализация Слайд-шоу на рабочем столе] "Интервал"= dword:000927c0 "Перемешать"= dword:00000001 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER ПРОГРАММНОЕ ОБЕСПЕЧЕНИЕ Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Explorer Обои] "SlideshowSourceDirectoriesSet"= dword:00000001 "BackgroundType"= dword:00000002 "SlideshowDirectoryPath1"="/долго-случайный-выглядящий-строка-идет-сюда"
Примечание. Вам нужно будет настроить слайд-шоу с правильным путем на одном из ваших ПК а затем экспортируйте значение «SlideshowDirectoryPath1» из реестра, чтобы это работало.
Вторая часть — скопировать файл с именем slideshow.ini. (также после настройки собственного слайд-шоу) который живет в %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes
Содержимое этого файла содержит закодированную ссылку на расположение вашего слайд-шоу, я полагаю.
После того, как вы скопировали файл и импортировали файл reg, вам просто нужно перезапустить проводник или подождать, пока пройдет период интервала. (мой установлен на 10 минут) и у меня включен случайный выбор — ваши значения могут отличаться, если вы установите их по-другому и экспортируете измененные значения из реестра
Я поместил свой файл slideshow.ini в самораспаковывающийся исполняемый файл, который извлекается в (и молча перезаписывает) %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes. Затем я запускаю свой 2 команды с использованием следующих SynchronousCommands в моем ImageUnattend.xml

Проблема на рабочей станции под управлением Windows 7 пользователь не может изменить фон рабочего стола.
Решение:
Нужно в профиле текущего пользователя:
C:\Users\aollo\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes
внутри файл:
TranscodedWallpaper.jpg
Характеристики оригинального файла:
aollo@system:~$ file Downloads/TranscodedWallpaper.jpg
Downloads/TranscodedWallpaper.jpg: JPEG image data, JFIF standard 1.02
aollo@system:~$ md5sum Downloads/TranscodedWallpaper.jpg
da288dceaafd7c97f1b09c594eac7868 Downloads/TranscodedWallpaper.jpg
он видимо поврежден, его нужно просто переименовать,
Пуск — Все программы — Стандартные — Командная строка
C:\Users\aollo>cd %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes
C:\Users\aollo\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes>rename TranscodedWallpaper.jpg TranscodedWallpaper.jpg.old
к примеру: TranscodedWallpaper.jpg.old и после этого пользователь уже может изменять фон рабочего стола.
Еще по пути %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes нужно проверить наличие содержимого внутри файла который после переименования появится slideshow.ini если оно есть, то его нужно удалить.
Изменив фон изображения файл TrnascodedWallpaper.jpg изменится на выбранное Вами изображение в качестве фона рабочего стола, вот к примеру как у меня:
Впредь буду знать что и такое может случиться как повреждение файла ответственного за установку обоев на рабочий стол самим пользователем. Данное описание опирается на реально возникнувшую проблему на стороне пользователя который обращался ко мне когда видел меня на рабочем месте каждый раз, вот если бы он написал заявку на отдел IT то его проблемой занялись бы намного быстрее. А так пришлось в свободное время съемулировать проблему, а после решить ее на самом компьютере пользователя. На этом я прощаюсь и до новых заметок, с уважением автор блога — ekzorchik.
