ShellExView — небольшая программа, которая отображается список всех компонентов, которые расширяют оболочку операционной системы Windows. Расширения появляются в системе после установки нового программного обеспечения: например, архиватор WinZip изменяет контекстное меню системы благодаря установки дополнительных расширений. С помощью утилиты, пользователи могут включить или отключить отдельные компоненты.
Также есть возможность просмотра информации об установленных расширениях: описание, версия, название продукта, разработчик, отображается ли ПО на рабочем столе, расположение файла на компьютере.
Загрузить программу можно бесплатно для Windows (XP, 7, Vista, 8.1. 10) 32 и 64-бит. Установка не требуется: достаточно просто распаковать архив с утилитой на компьютер. По умолчанию стоит английский язык интерфейса. В архив с программой помещен русификатор.
Программа ShellExView предоставляет пользователям следующие возможности:
- Управление расширениями. С помощью утилиты можно активировать или деактивировать любой активный компонент, который расширяет оболочку операционной системы Windows.
- Сохранение выбранных записей. Также утилита позволяет сохранить выбранные записи — компоненты, которые расположены в списке в главном окне. Для сохранения нужно выбрать раздел и папку на компьютере.
- Поиск. В ShellExView есть встроенный инструмент поиска. Он дает возможность искать любые записи — дополнительные компоненты, — которые находятся в активном состоянии. Для этого нужно ввести название задачи. Также можно установить дополнительные параметры поиска: только с учетом регистра, только слово целиком или поиск с учетом направления (вверх или вниз).
- Свойства компонента. При необходимости, в программе можно посмотреть свойства каждого компонента. Информация отображается в отдельном окне: имя расширения, текущий статус (активирован или деактивирован), тип, описание, версия, название продукта, размер, атрибут, время создания файла (дата и часы).
- Создание HTML-отчетов. Пользователи могут создать отдельный отчет в формате HTML (всех элементов или только выбранных расширений) — данные откроются в браузере в формате таблицы.
- Настройки. В параметрах утилиты можно включить отображение списка по типу расширения. Есть возможность показа 32-битных расширений. Можно выделить деактивированные записи, расширения не от Microsoft и все подозрительные расширения. Доступна функция, которая позволяет скрыть все системные расширения от Microsoft. Можно включить показ времени по GMT. Также пользователи могут убрать иконку программы ShellExView в трей — она поместится туда после сворачивания окна.
- Настройка столбцов. Пользователи могут выбрать отображаемые столбцы в списке. Например, отключить показ строк производителя или версии. Также доступна функция установки ширины столбца (этот параметр указывается в пикселях).

As a developer I have a number of products installed that add right click «context» menus. Many of these are very useful but a large number of them are not. Some products make it easy to identify these and uninstall them but many do not. Shell Extensions are an in-process that extends abilities of Windows operating system. Shellexview is a free tool that quickly disables/enables/remove shell context menus, it’s a deep-configuration tool for Windows. It does not need to be installed. It comes color coded to easily distinguish non Windows Shell extensions or suspicious ones. With ShellExview you cannot add new context-menu, only deactivate existing ones. It would be a recommended program if you have problems with your window’s menu extension.
