FreeMind

Though this software has been discontinued, you can easily download it from the internet. It is a cross platform mind mapping software and works on Windows, Mac, and Linux, as it is developed in Java.

To let you put down your ideas, start with a Parent Node, and start building ideas or expanding ideas by adding new Child nodes and Sibling nodes. You can add a separate node apart from the main tree; its called as a Floating topic.

Multi tab support is available, which lets you work on multiple projects at once. While starting with a new project, you are asked to choose a Map Theme and a Map Template to build a mindmap. Based on the template you choose, a sample map is produced, which is fully editable. This gives you the ease to begin working on a mindmap, right on.

Double click on a Node to change the text in it; along with text formatting. Each node and sub-node can be resized separately; this option is not available in any of the mindmap software reviewed till now in this list. You can make a set of sub-nodes to expand and collapse, in order to keep the mind map sorted. Other options let you insert Callout topic, Floating topic, Boundary, Relationship, Icon marker, Image, and Hyperlink. A set of Clip Arts is also available, which can be inserted into topic nodes.

The Map formatting tools let you keep your mindmap sorted. With these tools, you can define node growth direction, add numbering, align topics, balance map, increase/decrease sibling topic spacing, change child topic spacing, etc.

The Task Manager tool is a very useful tool, through which you can set tasks for a node. Add task priority, start date, due date, duration, etc.

Save your data in .emm format. Mind maps can be exported as Image, Word document, Excel document, Powerpoint document, HTML, or Text. Option to export as PDF is available in the Pro version.

InfoRapid KnowledgeBase Builder

InfoRapid KnowledgeBase Builder is one of a kind mind mapping software, which follows a creative, but easy approach to make mindmaps. 3D view of mindmap makes this software more interesting to work with.

Create an Item as a node, then enter topic description if need be. Press Insert to add a sub-node to the Parent node. Sub nodes to the Child nodes can be added as well. The node and text color is customizable, and can be changed easily from the Properties window. New relationship arrows can be added and their directions can be changed as well.

Other advanced features are not available; however, the creative way of creating mindmaps easily in 3D is the catch.

You can easily save your progress and work on it later. You can also upload your work to cloud on this software’s server, but the uploaded item stays available only for 7 days. You can always export a created map as Image or CSV file.

The free version is only available for personal use; you cannot use it for commercial purposes.

Mind Architect

Mind Architect is another standard mindmap software. It has both free and paid versions; the free version lets you create small and mid sized mindmaps, while with the paid version, you can create large mindmaps. Both the versions share the same tools and features.

You can begin working on a mindmap by selecting from one of the 9 mindmap templates. Add text to the parent node, then resize the node if required. When you click on a node, a + sign appears, click on + to add a subtopic. You can add Child nodes to a Sub-topic in the same way. While you create multiple Child nodes of a Sub-topic, you also get an option to contract or expand them.

Text formatting, text color, node color, and branch color can be changed easily. You can also change the map style anytime you want.

The context menu provides various important options, such as Copy, Paste, Insert Image, Insert Line, Insert Table, and Show Grid. Save your progress as Mind Architect Document, or Export the map as Image or PDF. You can also print the map, right from the interface of this mindmap software.

Docear

Docear is developed as an Academic Literature Suite, where you can create vast mindmaps. This open source mind mapping software is free to use and is cross-platform, available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. The tools and options available to build mindmaps are extensive; lets take a look.

By default, it creates a UML-class diagram, and when you select the Mindmap option, the diagram is converted into mindmap. Basically, UML-class diagram has rectangular nodes, and mindmaps has oval nodes. Also, you can define connection directions in UML-class diagram, but directions disappear in mindmaps.

To create a node, simply click on the canvas and type the content in the dialog box that appears. Click on the canvas to make another node. To connect two nodes, simply drag he mouse pointer from one node till another node. As soon as you release the drag, a dialog box appears, where you can define the connection type (only works with UML-class diagram).

You can save your project to use later, or export the mindmap as an Image in PNG format.

Cmap

Cmap is a free mindmap software, with options to fully customize nodes and make simple as well as complex mind maps. Create a node, and begin creating Child and Sibling nodes to put down ideas systematically. When you click on an existing node, you will see an arrow pop up; drag it to place a new node.

There is a floating window available, where you can change Font attributes, Node style and color, Connecting line attributes, and the background color. I found it very easy to make mindmap with this software, as compared to most of the listed mind mapping software.

A mind map can be exported in PNG, PDF, PS, SVG, HTML, CXL, etc.

YouMinds Composer

YouMinds Composer lets you make detailed mindmaps for free. Although the free version does not have all the features the Pro version has, it can create mindmaps easily. Along with mindmaps, you can make Timeline, Organizational chart, and Note sheet book with this free mind map program.

Adding a Parent node, Child node, and Sibling nodes is easy, and can be done by pressing respective shortcuts. Как-то раз мне нужно было написать статью о лонгридах. Чтобы подготовить крутой материал, я собиралась заглянуть в пару книг, прочитать популярные статьи по теме, набросать структуру и собрать воедино все мысли в тексте. Идей было много и они не укладывались в голове: я не знала, как подступиться к статье. Навести порядок помог майндмэпинг.

Ментальная карта (mind map) — это древовидная схема: в центре ключевая тема (идея, проблема), а вокруг неё составные части (задачи, ресурсы). Карта иллюстрирует и сами объекты, и связи между ними. Синонимы: интеллект-карта, диаграмма связей, карта мыслей.

Разложила по полочкам все идеи для статьи. И мне это сильно помогло

Майндкарта помогает структурировать информацию, визуализировать процесс мышления и генерации идей. В маркетинге может пригодиться, чтобы сделать воронку продаж, отрисовать логику цепочки писем, продумать сегментацию базы или просто собрать задачи на день.

Схему можно нарисовать вручную на бумаге и в обычных графических редакторах, но удобнее работать в специальных инструментах. Делюсь 10 сервисами, которыми сама пользовалась — я разбила их на две категории:

Со строгим и лаконичным дизайном. Работа в них больше похожа на черчение, а не рисование.
С ярким и необычным дизайном. Можно настроить кастомизацию линий, блоков, а в некоторых даже вставлять изображения.

Сервисы со строгим и лаконичным дизайном

В эту категорию я включила сервисы, где преобладают строгие геометрические формы. Рисование больше похоже на построение схемы. Сервисы предлагают множество шаблонов, которые удобно использовать для решения конкретной задачи: планирования мероприятия, построения воронки продаж или создания плана для статьи.

Понравилось. Больше сотни шаблонов. Удобная веб-версия. Можно менять фигуры, задавать им стиль, менять стрелки, цвет текста и цвет фона. И даже добавлять математические формулы и картинки. Ещё один большой плюс — создание ментальных карт полностью бесплатное.

Еще у Draw много других полезных функций:

работает без регистрации;
позволяет сохранять файлы на Google Диск, OneDrive или в память компьютера;
позволяет обмениваться картами с сотрудниками легко и быстро — можно встраивать их в Google Docs, HTML, Notion;
может настроить интеграции с Jira, GitHub, Dropbox и другими;
позволяет скачивать файлы в различных форматах: PNG, SVG, PDF, XML и др.

Не понравилось. Красочные и необычные интеллект карты сделать не получится.

Стоимость. Бесплатно.

Freemind

Понравилось. Полностью бесплатный сервис, который работает на Windows, macOS, Linux. Удобно, что в сервисе можно форматировать текст, изменять шрифты, настраивать маркированные, нумерованные списки и т.д. У Freemind много других крутых возможностей:

можно работать над несколькими картами одновременно и переключаться между ними на верхней панели;
функция Drag’n Drop: можно копировать узлы, стили карты. Перетаскивать несколько выбранных узлов, добавлять фотографии, эмодзи, таблицы;
можно вставлять ссылки из HTML;
готовую карту можно экспортировать в формате PNG, JPG, SVG, HTML.

Не понравилось. Нет браузерной версии — нужно устанавливать программу на ПК. Устаревший и неудобный интерфейс. Разбираться методом тыка придется долго, поэтому рекомендую сразу открывать раздел «помощь» → «документация». Там вы найдете описание всех функций сервиса.

Стоимость. Бесплатно.

Simple Mind

Понравилось. Карта выглядит лаконично, очень простое управление. Есть встроенный редактор для фото. Много цветовых палитр, которые делают карту красивее. Есть пробная версия с полным функционалом для Windows и Mac, ее выдают на 30 дней. У Simple Mind есть и другие полезные фишки:

добавлять нумерацию в карте, чтобы упорядочивать большие объёмы информации;
15+ стилей карт;
создавать неограниченное количество блоков — благодаря этому можно делать большие карты и регулярно их детализировать;
добавлять ссылки на документы или веб-страницы, а значит меньше времени уйдёт на получение дополнительной информации вне карты;
синхронизировать карту с Dropbox и Google Drive и экспортировать mind map в формате PDF или изображения.

Не понравилось. Нет браузерной версии, много ограничений в бесплатной версии. Бесплатная версия есть только для Android и iOS.

Стоимость. Есть бесплатная версия для Android и iOS с ограниченным функционалом. Пожизненная подписка на одного пользователя стоит $27,5.

Понравилось. Редактирование простое и удобное. Можно добавлять иконки в блоки, форматировать текст. Также доступны шаблоны карт: радиальная карта, правосторонняя карта, ворончатая диаграмма и другие. Вот, что еще можно делать в сервисе:

использовать различные форматы: интеллект-карты, блок-схемы, диаграммы Ганта, канбан-доски и другие;
добавлять иконки, параллелограммы и другие объекты, еще есть тегирование и расстановка приоритетов;
редактировать текст и менять цвет заливки (помогает выделить смысловые блоки в карте);
импортировать и экспортировать в Word и Excel, а также в OneDrive, Google Drive, SharePoint;
публиковать майндмэпы с доступом по ссылке, совместно редактировать их с коллегами (через платформу Microsoft Teams).

Не понравилось. Бесплатный тариф отсутствует (только пробная 30-дневная версия), онлайн-версии тоже нет (только mind map программы для Windows и Mac).

Стоимость. Цены начинаются от €117,81 в год.

Понравилось. Оттенки сдержанные, карта получается аккуратная. В одном файле можно создавать до трех интеллект-карт. Есть подсказки по горячим клавишам. В целом удобно пользоваться комбинациями клавиш — процесс создания становится немного быстрее.

Возможности сервиса:

можно экспортировать в формате JPG, PNG, PDF на бесплатном тарифе;
можно импортировать интеллект-карты из XMind, Mindomo, Mindmeister, Freemind;
выбирать цвет фона и карты из предложенных тем;
добавлять иконки.

Есть бесплатный период на 14 дней, чтобы протестировать максимальные тарифы сервиса.

Не понравилось. Маловато тем для интеллект-карт. Нужно время, чтобы выучить горячие клавиши. Не сразу понимаешь, куда жать, чтобы получить нужный результат, хоть и система каждый раз подсказывает, как правильно.

Стоимость. Есть бесплатный тариф, на нем можно создать 1 карту. Цены на подписку стартуют от 419 рублей в месяц (при подписке на год скидка — 20%).

На платном тарифе можно создавать неограниченное количество файлов и карт, делиться картами и работать совместно с командой (можно оставлять комментарии и полноценно работать над файлом).

Сервисы с ярким и необычным дизайном

Карты из этого списка обладают запоминающимся дизайном: цвета, необычные линии и формы. В некоторых из них можно рисовать или добавлять блоки в виде изображений.

Понравилось. Можно залогиниться через аккаунт в Google. Сразу видны подсказки по работе с сервисом, но даже без них в интерфейсе можно легко разобраться. Возможности Coogle:

1 600 доступных пиктограмм, которые помогают выделить смысловые блоки;
есть история изменений карты, чтобы откатиться на предыдущую версию при необходимости;
экспорт карт в формате .mm и Microsoft Visio;
позволяет создавать встраиваемые диаграммы и нестандартные ментальные карты, где сразу несколько стартовых точек (центральных элементов).

Не понравилось. Часть интерфейса переведена на русский, а часть — нет.

Стоимость. Есть бесплатный тариф, на нем можно создать до 3 карт. Цены стартуют от $5 в месяц. В них можно создавать неограниченное количество карт, управлять стилем линий, работать над картами совместно. На тарифе для организаций диаграммы можно брендировать.

Работает ли в России: Только браузерная версия и демо-версия приложения на ПК, платную подписку оплатить не получится.

Понравилось. Очень много креативных заготовленных шаблонов под разные цели: для бизнеса (например, бизнес-план), планирование (например, to do листы), развлечение, обучение, аналитика (например, SWOT-анализ).

Удобно, что сервис работает в браузере и карты можно создавать с ноутбука, планшета или даже телефона. В браузерной версии можно приглашать пользователей для совместной работы над диаграммами.

В бесплатной и платной версии можно создавать майнд-карты с помощью нейросети. Всего дается 10 попыток на создание карты бесплатно.

Не понравилось. Урезанный функционал бесплатной версии. В ней можно только настраивать связи между блоками, добавлять картинки, делать заметки, форматировать текст, добавлять разные эмодзи и стикеры, менять цветовую палитру.

Зато в платной версии возможностей больше: можно добавлять фон на карту, сохранять карты в PNG, PDF, Word, Excel, OPML, Textbundle. Но подписку на сервис не получится оплатить российской картой.

Еще один минус бесплатной версии — на всех интеллект-картах будет вотермарк.

Стоимость. Есть бесплатная версия с урезанным функционалом. Платная версия стоит от $4,92 в месяц.

Mindmup

Понравилось. Работает без регистрации. Интуитивно понятный интерфейс: с первой секунды ясно, как построить карту. Можно делать блоки в виде изображений, добавлять таблицы и ссылки.

Возможности сервиса:

создавать сколько угодно карт;
сохранять контент на Google Drive;
экспортировать в PDF, файлы изображений и документов;
расшаривать интеллект-карты для публичного доступа.

Не понравилось. На бесплатном тарифе можно экспортировать карту размером до 100 КБ.

Стоимость. Цены стартуют от $2,99 в месяц до $100 в год. На платных тарифах можно работать над картами совместно с командой и экспортировать их в Office 365.

Понравилось. Супер простое и удобное управление, в бесплатной версии много возможностей. Возможности сервиса:

три большие доски, на которую помещается много интеллект карт;
больше 3000 готовых шаблонов для разных целей;
можно интегрировать с куче программой, например, Zoom, Slack, Google Drive, Sketch;
есть слои, чтобы показывать, скрывать и группировать объекты на одной доске;
встроенный искусственный интеллект, который делает стикеры, документы, иллюстрации.

Не понравилось. В бесплатной версии нельзя восстановить разные версии карт и утерянный контент.

Стоимость. Есть бесплатная версия, в ней можно создать до 3-х досок. Платная подписка стартует от $8 в месяц за одного человека. На платных версиях можно приглашать на доску сколько угодно человек и работать над проектом.

Как создать интеллект-карту с помощью нейросети

Напрямую создать интеллект-карту в нейросетях пока что нельзя. Но процесс можно автоматизировать и ускорить.

Для работы понадобится ChatGPT и сервис построения интеллект-карт Mermaid. Mermaid позволяет создавать простые, но красивые интеллект-карты. Но работает он только с JS-кодом — обычный текст сервис не понимает.

Сначала нужно зайти в ChatGPT и дать ему референс кода, по аналогии с которым он построит нашу будущую карту.

Для этого отправляем боту референс с mermaid и в конце дописываем что-то вроде «используя эту разметку сделай интеллект-карту, в которой будет…»

Используя язык диаграмм markdown mindmap, создай интеллект-карту, которая отражает бизнес-план для создания и продвижения сайта. Начни с mindmap и root((title)) и добавь тематические иконки.

В строке, начинающейся с ::icon может быть написано только ::icon (название иконки). Остальной текст начинай с новой строки.

В ответ вы получите что-то вроде:

Этот код нужно скопировать и перейти на сайт mermaid.live. А там — вставить код в рабочую область и карта сгенерируется автоматически.

Важно! Необязательно заставлять бота придумывать слова для интеллект карты самостоятельно. Вы можете дать ему список слов в конце запроса и попросить отразить их в виде интеллект-карты.

В бесплатной версии Mindmup вы сможете создать неограниченное количество карт.
Шаблоны в большом количестве есть у Xmind, Miro, Diagrams.
Самые разнообразные шаблоны у Miro и Xmind.
