WorldClient provides complete web mail services to help you stay in touch at your office, from home, at an Internet cafe or from a customer’s location. Provided free with every version of MDaemon email server for Windows, WorldClient sends and receives messages from any Internet-connected computer with a recent web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Safari. It runs on computers equipped with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
With WorldClient options, you can customize your web mail to work the way you want. For example, you can set options to change the appearance of WorldClient, the number of messages it displays on a single page, how the spelling checker operates, and the content of your email signature. You can also select sharing options for your email folders, set up filters for automatically organizing your email, and define a starting day of the week for your calendar, plus much more.
For MDaemon PRO email server for Windows, WorldClient also provides groupware collaboration for sharing email folders, calendars with free/busy scheduling, contacts, distribution lists, tasks, and notes. The WorldClient collaboration features work in harmony with Outlook Connector, Alt-N’s solution to make Outlook sharing available for small and mid-sized businesses by using MDaemon email server for Windows as the collaboration server.
As an option to make your web mail even easier, the small ComAgent application runs on your computer and monitors your WorldClient web mail. ComAgent can notify you when a message arrives. When combined with WorldClient’s message filtering, ComAgent can even inform you when you receive a message from a specific sender, for example. ComAgent can also synchronize your contacts between your Windows Address Book or Outlook Address Book and WorldClient. ComAgent comes with a built-in and secure instant messaging client for MDaemon.

MDaemon Messaging server is an email server software for windows which supports IMAP,POP,SMTP and ActiveSync protocols. It is easy to install and gives solid performance from its feature and user friendly design.

Here, I bring you a blog which will guide you through installing Mdaemon application and hosting WorldClient in IIS 7
1. First, you need to download Mdaemon from here. I have download the pro version and will install it as a trial version because its just for testing.
2. Now, start the installation by double clicking the downloaded exe file. The welcome info appears, click next to proceed.
3. Accept the license agreement by clicking I Agree
4. Select the installation directory or leave it default which is C:\MDaemon
5. Enter your license key or proceed as a trial version, if its just for testing
6. Enter the details of the organization this mail server represents
7. Now click on next to proceed to instalaltion
8. Setup will copy and install the MDaemon
9. Setup first mail account with administrative privileges. Please read the guidelines for password minimum requirement
10. Setup the domain name and IMAP/POP hostname
11. Enable the auto starting system service by just clicking to tick and click next
12. now start Mdaemon and click on finish
13. The Mdaemon messenger server is now installed and the console looks like below snapshot
14. Now to setup WorldCient, open your web service (For windows its Internet Information Service IIS)
15. Right click on sites and click on Add Web site.
16. Enter the details, site name, physical path of Mdaemon worldclient web folder, and the hostname, port and protocol of your choose or requirement
17. Open up the Handler Mapping and click on edit feature permission and click read, script and execute permissions.
18. Now, edit the module mapping with requested path= WorldClient.dll and executalbe = pathpofMdaemon\WorldClient\HTML\WorldClient.dll and click OK.
19. Click yes to confirm
20. In application pool, select the app pool and click on advanced setting and change the enable 32 Bit applications to true and Identity to NetworkService.
21. Now the WorldClient configuration is complete and you can loggin by using your mail ID created initially while installing MDaemon.
22. After logging in, you can view your mail box that looks same as below

Share and Collaborate
The MDaemon Email Server stores messages and groupware collaboration data on the email server, thus centralizing all business content. MDaemon’s WebMail allows you to share email folders, calendars with free / busy scheduling, contacts, distribution lists, tasks, notes, and documents between users. When paired up with MDaemon Connector for Outlook these groupware items can be displayed in the Microsoft Outlook® client and shared with other Outlook Connector users.
Personalize WebMail
WebMail users can enter personalized signatures, set up «out of office» messages, flag messages, compose messages in plain-text or HTML (including images), and spell check with its local customizable dictionary.

Automatically Organize Messages
Users can also create unlimited personal folders and sorting filters, enabling WorldClient to automatically organize your messages on the fly. Filtering rules can be created based on the message sender, recipient, size, content, and more.
One-Step Drag and Drop Email Attachments
MDaemon’s webmail feature allows you to select multiple files and attach them to a message via a simple drag and drop method for greater productivity. This functionality is supported in both the «WorldClient» and «LookOut» themes using HTML5 enabled browsers, such as Chrome or Firefox.
Inline Image Support in HTML Messages
WorldClient supports adding inline images in composed HTML messages. There are four ways to add an image to a message composed in WorldClient.
- In the HTML editor, click the Image toolbar button and select the upload tab.
- In the HTML editor, click on the Add image toolbar button.
- Drag and drop an image into the HTML editor with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 and above.
- Copy and paste an image from the clipboard into the HTML editor with Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 and above.
Easily Search Folders
MDaemon’s WorldClient allows users to search their Inbox and other mail folders (including tasks, contacts, and notes) by sender, recipient, subject, and content.
Public and Private Address Books
WorldClient allows users to create multiple personal and public address books, allowing users to share some contacts while keeping others private.
Calendar with Free/Busy Integration
Manage your appointments and important dates with the built-in calendar with free/busy integration. Use the Scheduling feature to add multiple appointment attendees while avoiding scheduling conflicts.
Side-by-Side Calendar View
The «WorldClient» and «Lookout» themes now include the ability to display calendars side-by-side for easier viewing.
Tasks (To-Do Lists)
The Tasks list allows you to keep track of your important to-do lists. The intuitive task list display allows you to keep track of task progress, status, and due dates. Tasks can be prioritized by level of importance, and notes can be entered for each task. Tasks can further be marked as private and assigned to different categories as needed.
Share and Manage Documents
Document sharing has been added to provide a central repository for documents to be accessed and shared by designated users. Document folders have full ACL (access control list) controls that can be used to set permissions and sharing rules (e.g., read only, edit, or full control). All file types can be shared through the system. Improved search capabilities make it easy to search shared documents by file name for easy retrieval, review, and attachment to new messages.
Contacts and Distribution Lists
WorldClient’s Contacts and Distribution List management settings allow quick access to all personal and public address books.
WorldClient for Mobile
The WorldClient Mobile theme allows MDaemon users to access their email, calendar, contacts, tasks & notes on their smartphone or tablet. The Mobile theme is optimized for smaller screens.
Email Notification with Instant Messaging
The included Instant Messenger (ComAgent) plug-in can run in the background and check your account for new mail by querying the server directly, thus eliminating the need to open a browser or keep one open to check your email. It also displays a list of your mail folders and the number and type of messages that each one contains (new, unread, and read). It can be set to launch WorldClient and immediately display a specific mail folder, the first unread message, the compose page, or your calendar page.
Automatic Address Book Synchronization
MDaemon Instant Messenger (ComAgent) can be used to provide two-way address book synchronization between MDaemon Mail Server and the Outlook/Outlook Express address book on each user’s local computer. Thus, if you use both Outlook or Outlook Express and MDaemon’s WorldClient (Web-Based Email) at different times, the address books will match in both products.
Chat Within WorldClient
WorldClient’s «WorldClient» and «LookOut» themes both include a built-in IM chat option that operates within the same browser window as WorldClient. This allows you to view your buddy list and chat with your IM buddies from within any browser through which you can access WorldClient, just as when using the MDaemon Instant Messenger (ComAgent) desktop application.
Installing Instant Messaging from WorldClient
MDaemon Instant Messenger (ComAgent) is available for download directly from within WorldClient and is installed on the individual’s local computer. It is pre-configured for the specific user when downloaded thus limiting the need to configure it manually.
Email Templates
You can use the Email Templates feature to create pre-written common messages, or regularly used blocks of text to insert into messages. There are many uses for email templates, for example, if you frequently use email drafts for commonly sent responses, or commonly used sets of instructions.
Fax Within WorldClient
RelayFax Network Fax Manager enables faxes to be sent directly from within WorldClient’s «Lookout» theme, to leverage web-based faxing capabilities, and more. («Lookout» theme feature only)
