Adding Kerio Operator to MyKerio
Opus codec
Kerio Operator 2.5 supports the Opus audio codec. Technically, Opus is a merger of SILK (original Skype codec)
and Xiph.Org’s CELT. Opus can adapt to variable bandwidth — it is able to encode audio to bitrates from 6 bks/s up to 512 ks/s.
It works with sampling frequencies from 8 KHz (the standard frequency for codecs like G.711) up to the high-end of 48 kHz.
Opus is covered by several patents but the license allows a royalty-free use.Firebird update

Downgrading
Downgrading from version 2.5.0
If you do a fresh installation of Kerio Operator 2.5.0, you cannot downgrade to previous versions (2.4.x and older). Version 2.5.0 uses a new configuration database format.
Kerio Operator 2.5.0 retains the old database. If you upgrade to Kerio Operator 2.5.0 from an earlier version,
you can downgrade back without limitations.Backups
Backups to Samepage
Configuration backups to Samepage have been discontinued. If you were using the backup to Samepage in Operator 2.4.X, please reconfigure your backup to use either FTP or MyKerio.
Saving recorded calls in Samepage is also no longer supported. You can use FTP to save recorded calls outside of the Kerio Operator server.

Kerio Operator Softphone is a software-based phone client that lets you make and receive calls on your Android mobile device from your office phone system. Kerio Operator Softphone is designed to work with Kerio Operator IP PBX or any other SIP based VoIP service.
NOTE: Kerio Operator Softphone supports auto-provisioning (auto-configuration) with Kerio Operator SIP server but can be configured manually to operate with any SIP based VoIP server. Download Kerio Operator Softphone for PC on Windows 10/8.1/8/7 & Mac Laptop
To be clear about download process of Kerio Operator Softphone for PC, it is not available directly from the web. As of now, the app developer have made it available for only Android Platform. To enjoy using it on your PC device, installation of Android Emulator is mandatory.
For doing all these things on your Computers & Laptops, you need to download Kerio Operator Softphone for PC/Laptop with Operating systems Windows 10/8.1/8/7 or Mac.
There are two ways of downloading this app on Laptop/PC. Use anyone, NOX App Player or Bluestacks for this purpose. As both of them support APK installation, you just need to install them on your Desktops and Install com.kerio.voip-v5.2.1.2-AppforPC.net.apk file with it so that you can enjoy Kerio Operator Softphone services on PC using NOX or Bluestacks. I will explain both methods here; you can choose anything you want.
As I was telling earlier, in this post, I will demonstrate two procedures, let’s see the first method of downloading Kerio Operator Softphone for PC using Bluestacks emulator.
Install Kerio Operator Softphone for PC Windows using BlueStacks
- Firstly, You should install Bluestacks Software on your Computer or Laptop. Click here to download bluestacks for PC. (Note: Come back to this post once you installed bluestacks correctly)
- After Bluestacks, now, you must download .APK file of Kerio Operator Softphone. Click here.
- Open the Bluestacks App already installed on your PC/Laptop. In the left-hand corner toolbox, you will find an option of Add APK. Load the APK file using the option on the Bluestacks. Click on that.
- It will ask about the location where you have kept the downloaded APK. In my case, I have kept it on Desktop, so I am selecting that.
- It will now automatically install the application on Bluestacks. You will find the Kerio Operator Softphone on applications tab on the main screen of the Bluestacks window.
- Now, you are all set to use Kerio Operator Softphone on PC. Here is the Kerio Operator Softphone successfully running on my PC after installing and clicked on the app.
Now, we should discuss the installation of Kerio Operator Softphone on PC using NOX App player. You can use this method if Bluestacks method is not working properly on your Laptop or Computer.
Install Kerio Operator Softphone on PC Windows using NOX App Player
- First of all, you must download Nox App player – https://www.bignox.com, click on the software to start installation on your Computer/Laptop.
- Now, download APK file from here.
- After installation, open the NOX player. In the right-hand side corner toolbox, you will find an option of Add APK. Click on that option.
- Select Don’t show again and click on I know.
- You have to choose the APK from the downloaded location. As I have saved it on the desktop, I choose from there. (If your downloaded file is in Downloads area, select the .APK from there itself)
- Nox will automatically install the Application. Open it from the home screen of Nox app player.
- You will then be asked about if you want to change your location from ‘Worldwide’ to any particular location. Initially, choose Later option.
- Now, you are ready to use the App with some pre-existing website links embedded in the App.
- Note: Use ESCAPE to come back to the home screen or else you can use the symbols to operate Kerio Operator Softphone app on PC NOX app player.
We feel that you will not get any hitches while downloading the App through the suggested ways. If you do encounter some problem, do share it with us.

Все большей популярностью пользуется технология VoIP, а с появлением программных средств для создания небольшой учрежденной станции развертывание телефонной связи для небольшой организации стало еще проще. Об одном из продуктов, а именно о Kerio Operator 2.5, нацеленных на снижение затрат на телефонную связь в малых и средних предприятиях мы и расскажем в этом обзоре.
Новая версия Kerio Operator 2.5 привнесла в продукт новое приложение Kerio Operator Softphone, которое представляет собой программный телефон. За счет интеграции двух новых кодеков, пользователи получают высокое качество вызовов. Кроме того в новой версии улучшено качество вызовов и осуществлена интеграция с облачной web-консолью MyKerio, с помощью которой пользователи могут удаленно управлять и настраивать установленные устройства Kerio. Новый Kerio Operator Softphone для Windows, Mac и Linux позволяет выполнять личные видеовызовы, прослушивать сообщения голосовой почты и управлять ими, перенаправлять вызовы и все это вне зависимости от местоположения пользователей при помощи компьютера.
Программный комплекс Kerio Operator 2.5 базируется на IP-ATC Asterisk с поддержкой SIP. Поскольку почти все функции реализованы программными средствами, то в системах IP-ATC легко наращивать функционал, модернизировать их, исправлять ошибки. Преимущества данного класса АТС — это работа в виртуальном окружении под управлением различных систем виртуализации, а также возможность гибко выбирать аппаратные характеристики. С помощью специализированных PCI-плат можно подключать такие АТС к уже имеющейся инфраструктуре по цифровым портам PRI, ISDN BRI и аналоговым FXO, FXS. Напомним, что Asterisk — свободное решение компьютерной телефонии с поддержкой VoIP и с открытым исходным кодом, которая на текущий момент является одной из самых популярных IP-ATC в мире. Поскольку настройка Asterisk как правило достаточно трудоемкая задача, компания Kerio предлагает в своем продукте Kerio Operator интуитивно понятный интерфейс управления, который весьма схож с другими программными продуктами компании Kerio, поэтому те администраторы, которые уже используют Kerio Control или Kerio Connect, быстро освоятся и в этом продукте.
Поскольку компания Kerio всячески приветствует развитие виртуализации, программный комплекс Kerio Operator поставляется в виде отдельных образов для виртуальных сред VmWare в формате OVF и VMX. Подключив новый сервер Kerio Operator к своему аккаунту в MyKerio, администратор может удаленно настроить его и внести все основные изменения для начала работы.
Кроме того, администратор всегда может добавить новый или обновленный Kerio Operator в MyKerio в отдельном меню. Кроме того поддерживается интеграция с почтовым сервисом Kerio Connect (голосовые сообщения могут автоматически присылаться на почту пользователя) и сервисами одной из крупнейших CRM-систем — Salesforce.
Добавлена поддержка гибко настраиваемого аудиокодека Opus, адаптирующегося к имеющейся пропускной способности канала, и видеокодека VP8, обеспечивающего высокое качество передачи для офисных и удаленных сотрудников. С помощью этого приложения пользователь может звонить, оставлять сообщения и принимать звонки, осуществленные через АТС Kerio Operator. Поскольку приложение только появилось в широком доступе, его возможности пока достаточно ограничены интерфейсом, но скорее всего в будущем Kerio SoftPhone станет полноценным помощником пользователя.
С другой стороны, новое приложение позволяет осуществляет не только аудио, но и видео-звонки между клиентами Kerio Operator. Это позволяет существенно расширить возможности по созданию конференц связи между отдаленными офисами.

Маршрутизация вызовов
- Группы вызова, позволяющие организовать входящий звонок на все добавочные номера в отделе.
- Задание мелодии звонка на местные, внешние и групповые вызовы.
- Настраиваемые очереди вызовов с голосовыми оповещениями о постановке звонка в очередь и автоматическим направлением вызова оператору.
- Маршрутизация переадресации вызова на альтернативные телефонные номера.

Step By Step Guide To Install Kerio Operator Softphone using BlueStacks
- Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
- Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn’t automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with… Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
