Хотя может показаться, что отключить IPv6 в Windows Vista и Windows Server 2008 является лишь вопросом щелчке по кнопке, это действие может привести к некоторым нежелательным результатам. На первый взгляд, может показаться, что IPv6 можно отключить в свойствах сетевого адаптераВместе с тем, чтобы правильно отключить IPv6 необходимо внести изменения в системный реестр.

Для того, чтобы сделать это, запустите редактор реестра и перейдите в

HKLM \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services \ Tcpip6 \ Parameters \

Ключ, который нужно изменить называется DisabledComponents.

Для того, чтобы отключены все компоненты IPv6, вы должны задать этому ключу значение 0xFFFFFFFF.

Значение по умолчанию для этого ключа равно 0, что значит включение всех рассматриваемых компонентов IPv6.

Как всегда, убедитесь, что создать полную резервную копию реестра перед внесением изменений в него.

We have three methods to disable IPv6 in Windows Server 2008 R2.

The first method is the fastest;

Open Control Panel –> Network and Sharing Center –> Change adapter settings –> double click on your network adapter –> Properties –> deselect Internet Product Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) –> click OK and Close.

If you want to completely disable IPv6 you need to use second and the third methods.

Second method:

– Click Start –> run –> regedit

– Locate the following registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters

– In the details pane click New and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value.

– Type DisabledComponents, and then press ENTER.

– Double-click DisabledComponents, and then type 0xffffffff in Hexadecimal or 4294967295 in Decimal.

Note: The 0xffffffff value or the 4294967295 value disables all IPv6 components except for the IPv6 loopback interface.

Third method:

Open command prompt and type:

reg add hklm\system\currentcontrolset\services\tcpip6\parameters /v DisabledComponents /t REG_DWORD /d 255 /f

We know that IPv6 is on its way to becoming the preferred protocol language of the near future but not just yet. By default, it is enabled on Windows server 2008 and at times it is just not needed and/or can wreak havoc with other applications. If you are experiencing technical troubles related to this, below is a small, simple step procedure on how to disable IPv6 on server 2008.

1- Login to the registry.

2- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesTcpip6Parameters

3- Create Dword value DisabledComponents

4- Add the value of 0xFFFFFFFF

5- Reboot the server.

Once the server is up and running, it will have completely disabled IPv6 on the server.
