Many Windows users rely on CCleaner to tidy up their systems and remove junk files. While it’s a popular utility, and the premium version of CCleaner is great, it has become increasingly aggressive with how it inserts itself into the system. The free version is annoying because of the ads it displays after Windows starts. If you only use the tool occasionally, you won’t want to load it as an autostart tool every time you start Windows.
The problem: CCleaner doesn’t make it easy to turn off the autostart behavior. There’s no option in the Settings menu, and you can’t deactivate CCleaner itself in the integrated autostart manager. This limitation applies to version 6.29.11342.
There is a way to stop it from launching with Windows, but the option is tucked away. Head to “Options > Smart Cleaning > Activate Smart Cleaning.” Uncheck the box and voila! The interface will no longer start in the Windows notification area.

However, some parts of CCleaner still pop up when Windows loads. These include a tool for crash reports and one for bypassing the user account query.
A tool like Autoruns can it make it easy to disable those extras. To achieve this, start Autoruns, enter CCleaner in the search field, and uncheck CCleaner in the list of results. After a manual start, however, CCleaner will add those entries back in, so using Autoruns can feel like a losing battle.

CCleaner remains a popular tool for computer optimization despite the program’s history of privacy concerns. Disable Auto-Startup From Within CCleaner
To prevent CCleaner from automatically launching in Windows, you must visit the program’s Options panel and turn off settings related to monitoring, scheduling, and updating. To do that:
- Open the Start menu and search for and open CCleaner. Or, double-click the CCleaner icon on the system tray.
- Select Options in the lower-right corner of the CCleaner window.
- On the Options panel that shows up, select Smart Cleaning on the sidebar and disable the box next to Enable Smart Cleaning.
- Continue visiting the following sidebar categories and disable additional sub-settings, causing CCleaner to launch at startup.
- Updates: Uncheck the boxes next to Keep CCleaner updated automatically and Send notifications when there is a new version of CCleaner.
- Cleaning Schedule: Deactivate the switch next to Current cleaning preferences.
- Privacy: Uncheck the boxes next to Help improve this app and our other products by sharing app-usage data with us, See possible upgrades and offers for our other products by sharing app-usage data with us, and See offers for 3rd-party products by sharing app-usage data with us.
- Exit CCleaner.
Disable CCleaner as a Startup Program in Task Manager
Once you’ve disabled the auto-launch settings in CCleaner above, you can disable CCleaner as a startup app via the Task Manager (if you haven’t done that already). Here’s how:
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager. Alternatively, right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager.
- Switch to the Startup tab.
- Highlight CCleaner from within the list and select Disable.

Preventing CCleaner from starting up with Windows is straightforward once you’re familiar with the settings you need to disable from within the app. That said, you might also want to consider completely removing CCleaner and instead using built-in tools in Windows to optimize performance.

По правде, никогда не задавался целью отключения CCleaner. Иначе зачем его устанавливать? Но раз вопрос задан, попробуем разобраться. Как такового, пункта ‘Запускать вместе с Windows’ не нашел. В автозагрузке его тоже нет. А вот в Настройки самой программы, если зайти в раздел Слежение, есть пункт Следить за системой. Предполагаю, если снять птичку (деактивировать функцию), то слежение отключится и вместе с ним отключится совместный запуск. Заодно можно отключить и Включить активный мониторинг. Как то так. 
[поль 6 лет назад Есть ещё один вариант: использовать версию этой программы, не требующую установки, или её портативную версию. И разместить эту программу на несистемном диске D. Именно так поступил я. Использую портативную версию, которая не запускается при включении компьютера. А только тогда, когда я запускаю её сам по мере необходимости. Знаете ответ? |
