Interstate 76 windows 10

This message is only for whom copied i76 data from CD1 manually.
and to use Gold Edition Patch with it. Gold patch download URL beeelow.
It’s a loong way down.. skip some sentence if you knew.

copy the data from CD1
then rename
I76MAX.ZIX to I76.ZIX (you don’t need i76min.zix.so do not copy it.)

next: registry KEY..

follow the registry tree to App Paths, then Right Click on App Paths and CREATE-NEW «KEY»
(not DWORD or binary, just a KEY) then rename it to I76.exe
And Right click on RIGHT WINDOW, (CREATE-)NEW «words(?)» this is not KEY.
I don’t know what it is called in english. anyways it is REG_SZ.
Then input the address where installed folder is. Rename it to Path.
Duble click on (DEFAULT)? and input where i76.exe is like a picture tells.
(Optional: add to favorites would be better)

Now or then… another keys for i76 version information to use Gold patch.
Follow the registry tree to local machine-software
If there were no
+Activision
+Interstate ’76
+1.00 (whatever it is)
You have to make those 3 keys.
right-click on [SOFTWARE] , NEW-KEY, then rename newly created key
to Activision (Ignore Activenet key in my picutre its came with nitropack).
Also right-click on [Activision], create new-key, rename it to Interstate ’76
(NOTE:A blank should be required between Interstate and ’76)
Then right-click on [Interstate ’76],create new-key rename it to 1.00

Now select created Interstate ’76 key and Right-click «IN RIGHT WINDOW», make a….words?
It7s not KEY or DWORD, make a same ICON(REG_SZ) in my picture what ever it is. rename it to EXE
(it is not .EXE just EXE) double click on it and inupt i76.exe
(Optional: add to favorites at [Activision] would be better)

You do not need to create keys of Interstate ’76 Gold Edition and nitro-.

Now you’re ready to use Gold Edition Patch.
Gold Edition was released as retail CD, bundle software CD and Patch for Classic I’76.
ah…. it’s not on LSM..thats why. ….found it 16bit ver.(80.7MB)

I do not check the file above but if it works, you’d better say thanks to him.
As long as you placed reg keys correct. It will work simply by double clicking on the patch.
Wherever you saved the patch to.

As for batch file, download dgvoodoo 1st. the batch file work WITH dgvoodoo(glide), not for 8bit.

download, unzip, drop unzipped(dgvoodoo)files into i76 folder, run dgVoodooSetup.exe
details for option switches : check images of URL above.

Create a new .txt file copy and paste the following 4lines, then save/exit.

taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
start /w i76.exe -glide
pause
start explorer.exe

Rename the .txt file to i76.bat (place the bat file in i76 installed folder)
Make a shortcut for i76.bat. The .bat file run i76 with glide via dgvoodoo automatically.
To play : run shortcut of i76.bat. That’s all.

Command lines written in the URL above are for nitropack. Do not try nitro.exe in i76 folder.
Also do not forget the compatible option for i76.exe
