Существует такой пакет, который поможет автоматически настроить внешний вид Вашего Linux-дистрибутива, похожим на внешний вид операционной системы Windows 7. Он называется Win2-7 Pack (для среды Gnome) и Vistar7 (для KDE). Новый внешний вид программ сохраняется даже и в запускаемых в Wine приложениях. В пакете, в качестве web-браузера, используется Firefox, в котором есть плагин, позволяющий браузеру выглядеть, как Internet Explorer с эффектами Aero. Также пакет заменяет приветствие, иконки, анимацию, обои, курсоры, шрифты и многое другое.
Недавно вышла версия пакета под номером 5.8.
Для того, чтобы скачать, зайдите на эту страницу или выполните в терминале следующие команды:

Ух ты ж ежики… Огромную работу вы проделали, но предугадываю, что ее не оплатят отдельно Как мне кажется, даже если вы сделаете полностью все идентичным внешне, пользователи все-равно останутся недовольны. Может стоит задуматься о написании памятки пользователя в которой указано что и как делать. Ну а если и это не поможет, то можно сделать вывод, что человек банально не хочет учиться и работать. Нужны ли такие сотрудники организации? Именно этот вопрос нужно задать руководству. Думаю, что когда речь пойдет об увольнении все с радостью будут готовы выполнять свои обязанности даже из консоли. Сугубо мое имхо. Ведь для повседневных задач, что Windows, что Ubuntu одинаково дружелюбны к пользователю. Еще, кстати, можно поспорить что дружелюбнее

Вопрос надо поставить ребром — что важнее перейти на линукс или удовлетворить людей с самомнением. По теме окна у вас как в хрюшке. Вы хотите чего? других кнопок закрытия или прозрачности окон?
Мало видеть нам начало — надо видеть и конец. Если видишь ты создание — значит где-то есть ТВОРЕЦ

Именно! Хочу настроить окна как в Win7.
Что касается OpenOffice так он внедрен 2 года назад вместо MS_Office.
Следующим этапом буде приручение к Thunderbird всех с отлучением от Outlook, но хотел сразу и пересадить на Linux.
На счет бесполезности работы.
Чем больше будет внешне похоже на Win7, тем меньше будет «страха» и аргументов по препятствию переходу. Сейчас основным аргументом для этих 30% что есть Outlook и что Win7 они привыкли и не переучиться не смогут. А тут аргументов не будет и придется через не хочу:)
Те кто перелез на Linux с дефолтными настройками задавали кучу вопросов потом сами настроили как надо. С этими 30% придется даже их картинки рабочего стола поставить те же. Бред конечно, но я не гордый — зато проблем будет меньше потом. А то тут схватили вирус шифровальщик — у половины виндузятников зашифровал все личные файлы — и всё-равно это для них не аргумент по переходу на Linux.

хех. я тетке своей поставил Xubuntu. она где-то с месяц работала, я к ней пришел, а она меня спросила, мол почему ты раньше мне это не установил. короче, для нее Xubuntu оказалась намного удобнее нежели winXP (старенький комп).
раньше с некоторой периодичностью бегал к ней и что-то да восстанавливал. то антивирус обновить, то ошибки в файловой системе, то просто что-то не запускается.
и вот уже почти год я не прикасаюсь к ее компьютеру работает все. при чем, тетка главбух на крупном предприятии (сейчас уже на пенсии) и до сих пор постоянно пользуется офисными приложениями (правда я ей вместо либры установил wps) и 1С.
тетке 57 лет. сначала, говорит, было не привычно, но потом все оказалось намного удобнее. и главное, что нет никаких головняков с вирусами и прочей фигней.
пусть переучиваются, имхо. или нахрен такие сотрудники.

а кто выделит бабло на переобучение, кто заплатит за перестакан и настройку систем? а вдруг железки нерабочие? а если софта аналогичного нет? а бабло на покупку новых лицензий найдут? отпустят ли работников на переобучение? а с сохранением ЗП? а с отрывом от производства? а убытки за счет чего покрывать? ну и еще: где переобучают? и потом, зачем менять то, что у людей работает и их устраивает?
ну а про иосы/андроиды, так там 3 кнопки тыкать надо. где сложность?

Тему окон с кнопками почти дорисовал. Потом поделюсь, если надо будет.
Как сделать прозрачным Whisker menu. Задолбался. Перепробовал кучу вариантов. Никак. Есть вариант с compton, но он зараза вместе с неактивными окнами часы и календарь на рабочем столе затемняет.

я повторюсь, у меня тетке 57 лет, женщина не молодая, с ПК работает давно. она за месяц привыкла. говорит, что вроде все то же самое, но даже удобнее. какая разница называется папка на рабочем столе «Домашний каталог» или «Мои документы»? доступ к 1С по RDP такой же, разве что пара кнопочек по другому. Офис? пожалуйста WPS с классическим интерфейсом под 2003-ий MS офис. да и либра не сильно оригинальностью блещет.

когда у тетки была Windows, то она мне постоянно звонила, сейчас не звонит. просто работает. это о чем-то говорит наверное.
единственное конечно, что пришлось заменить на ее компе, так это видеокарту. она, к сожалению, под виндой работала нормально, а под линухой отвратительно. radeon 9200… нет нормальных дров на это старье. поставил GF 6600 АГПшный — пашет отлично.

Ubuntu despite its recent improvements in appearance, arguably does not match the elegance of the Windows 7 Aero Glass Look. If you are a Windows user who recently started using Ubuntu or a hardcore Linux enthusiast interested in the Windows Aero Glass effect for your Ubuntu desktop. Here is a guide to help you do just that.
First of all, open the Terminal in Ubuntu from Applications –> Accessories. After that, enter the following commands in the Terminal (one after the other).
cd $HOME sudo wget https://web.lib.sun.ac.za/ubuntu/files/help/theme/gnome/win7-setup.sh sudo chmod 0755 $HOME/win7-setup.sh $HOME/win7-setup.sh
This will download the Windows 7 theme package.
Once the package is downloaded, you will see a prompt to start the Win7 theme installation. Click OK to continue.
This will be followed by a number of different prompt where you will simply require clicking on OK to continue. During these prompts you might be asked to install certain packages required to complete the process. For example, you may require installing Wine, which allows running Windows programs in Linux environment.
After the rest of the packages are installed, open the Terminal again and enter the following command:
setup-win7-theme
After that, Ubuntu will transform into a Windows 7 like desktop. Logout and Login for the changes to fully take effect.
That’s all you need to do to give your Ubuntu desktop the Windows 7 appearance.
It is to be noted that the new appearance might take some time to get use to, as the Ubuntu applications might start appearing unfamiliar because of the Windows 7 look that their interface will adopt. A good example is the Ubuntu Software center that will look much like a common directory opened in Windows explorer.
The screenshot you see above looks like it’s of Windows 7 but it’s actually just a Windows 7 theme for Linux Mint.
Pretty impressive, huh?
We’ve shown you how to make Linux Mint look like a Mac before so aping the appearance of a rival operating system while not to everyone’s tastes is something you already know is possible.
But we’ve never really touched on how to make this distro look like Windows. And Linux Mint is the ideal starting point if you want to do that because it looks and behaves more like Windows than regular Ubuntu does.
So with Windows 7 support at an end, and lots of users debating a switch to Linux Mint, it feels like a good time to share this (surprisingly simple) how to.
For an accurate looking Linux Mint Windows 7 theme we can turn to the fab design team at the B00merang Project.
They’ve crafted a competent copy of the Windows 7 UI for the Cinnamon desktop (the theme will also work on other desktops too, with varying results).
Download Windows 7 GTK Theme
Assuming you’re running a recent-ish version of Linux Mint (or a different distro with the Cinnamon desktop installed) your first step is to download the following Windows 7 theme pack:

Let the archive fully download and then, using your file manager, locate the .zip file you just got and extract it in to a new folder.
Next, in another file manager window, open the .themes directory in your Home folder. Remember: to see (or hide) hidden “dot files” you need to press ctrl + h.
Don’t see a .themes folder? Go ahead and create one, just remember to include the . in the folder name, and stick to lowercase!
Copy the extracted folder in to here to install the Windows 7 theme pack.
Linux Mint makes it very super easy to change theme: open the Mint Menu to search for and open “Themes”. Set the Windows 7 GTK theme for Window borders, Controls, and Desktop.

That’s the theme done, but we can go further. To help round out the Windows 7 look you should use an Windows 7 icon set — which, hurrah, the B00merang project also provide:

Download and extract the .zip file above and move the extracted directory (not the zip file) to the hidden .icons folder in Home.
Don’t see a .icons folder? Go ahead and create one, just remember to include the . in the folder name, and stick to lowercase!
Once done, pop open the “Themes” tool again set ‘icons’ to the Windows 7 pack you just added.
Finishing touches
By now your desktop will look a lot like the ‘real deal’ you see above — but there are a few other tweaks you can make to round off the experience.
First is adding a Start Menu clone. Now, I personally prefer the default Mint Menu over anything else but I accept that it doesn’t “look the part”.
So, to replace the Mint Menu with a Windows 7 Start Menu clone:
- Right-click on the panel and select “Add Applets”
- Select the “Download” tab
- Search for and install “Start Menu”
- Click the install icon for “CinnVIIStarkMenu”
- Switch back to the Manage section and add the applet
Use “Panel Edit” mode to reposition the Start Menu clone where you want it (i.e. on the far left) — just remember to turn panel edit mode off after as it’s not automatic. If you don’t, you’ll be frustrated that nothing on the panel seems to respond!
Finally, to seal the deal, you’ll want to download a nice high quality version of the Windows 7 wallpaper to set as your desktop background (shortcut: right-click on the image file in the file manager and select ‘Set as Background’).

There you have it; a safe and secure Linux Mint system that looks a lot like Windows 7 but, mercifully, isn’t Windows 7!
Do you want to change the interface of Ubuntu 20.04 or 18.04 LTS Linux Distros to make it look like Windows 10 or 7, then here are the steps to follow.

Ubuntu 20.04, 18.03, 19.04, 17.04, or 16.04 out of the box come with GNOME graphical user interface or environment. Although it is very intuitive and easy to use, the users are shifting from Windows 10 or 7 yet find it difficult to operate. Because of the unfamiliar user interface and arrangements of options.
Therefore, if you want to have the benefits of Ubuntu Linux and its packages but with a Windows-like interface then here in this tutorial, we will show some quick commands to install the UKUI Desktop environment on Ubuntu.
What is UKUI- Ubuntu Kylin?
UKUI is a desktop environment for Linux distributions available on Github, it meant to provide a simple and easy to use Windows similar graphical user interface.
So, let’s see its installation on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, however, the steps will be the same for the previous versions such as 18.04 and 16.04 including Linux Mint and Debian. However, if you don’t want to do the installation of Kylin on Ubuntu 20.04 then go for the official Ubuntu 20.04 Kylin Linux Distro available to download on the official website.
Open command terminal
To install Windows 10 interface UI for Linux we need to use the Command line on Ubuntu, to access that either click on “Show Applications” and search for Terminal or simply press Ctrl + Alt + T (shortcut key to open the Command terminal).
Add UKUI PPA Repository
This Linux desktop environment’s packages may not available in the default official repository of Ubuntu Linux, thus we need to add it manually. Therefore, copy-paste the below command in the terminal and press the Enter key.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntukylin-members/ukui3.0
When it asks for your User password then provide that and then hit the Enter button.
Update and Upgrade Packages
To make sure the added repository get recognized by the system, rebuild the cache and then upgrade the existing packages using below two commands:
sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade
Install Windows-like UI on Ubuntu 20.04
Finally, run a single command as given in this step. It will fetch all the required packages and tools to create a Windows 10 or 7 like the Desktop environment on Ubuntu 20.04 or earlier versions. Hence, here is it.
sudo apt install ukui-desktop-environment or sudo apt install ubuntukylin-desktop
The output shows, it will take around 559 MB of space on your disk:

Logout and Login to UKUI- Windows 10 like interface on Ubuntu
Once the installation gets completed, go to the Ubuntu Taskbar and at the right end, you will see an arrow icon pointed downwards, click that select “power off/log out” and select the Log out option.
Now, click on your user name, and before entering the password, click on the gear icon available at the left bottom side of the screen. Select UKUI and then enter your user password to log in again.
Note: After installing Ubuntu Kylin UI you will have a dual desktop environment on your OS, thus if you want the default one back then again log out and select Ubuntu instead UKUI.
Uninstall UKUI- Ubuntu Kylin Desktop environment
In case you are facing some problem with UKUI- Windows 10 like interface then we can uninstall it completely. To remove the UKUI, log out the system and again click on the Gear icon available on the right bottom side. This time instead of selecting UKUI, select Ubuntu, the default UI.
Now, open the command terminal and run the below command to fully purge and remove this desktop environment, we have installed in this tutorial.
sudo apt purge ukui-desktop-environment ubuntukylin-default-settings peony-common
Restart, the system and you will see it would not be available to access any more on your Linux.
