Gothic Font

Готический шрифт — шрифт появившейся в XI веке. С XVI века применение готических шрифтов в письме и книгопечатании постепенно прекратилось, готический стиль бы вытеснен антиквой.
Символы готического алфавита имеют такой вид потому что в XI веке для письма, в качестве пишущих инструментов использовались гусиные перья, которые были обрезаны по диагонали и при письме наклоняли пишущую кромку под углом к линии строки. Из-за этого буквы получались близко расположенные, что также экономило бумагу.

Готические русские шрифты
Готические шрифты являются одними из самых древних направлений письменности, которые имеют своё легкоузнаваемое написание. Готические шрифты подражают написанию распространённым средневековым европейским рукописям, которые выполнялись вручную ширококонечным пером (толщина зависит от наклона). Все готические шрифты, собранные на нашем сайте, сочетаются с кириллицей.
Как правило, буквы готических шрифтов имеют узкие контрастные пропорции, ломанные штрихи и большую насыщенность. Некоторые разновидности русских шрифтов обладают декоративными элементами (например, особое украшение заглавной буквы), выполненными также в старинном стиле рукописей. Стоит отметить, что современные вариации готических шрифтов обладают более округлыми формами.
