To complete the initial set up voice access in Windows, you need an internet connection. For a list of voice access commands, go to Voice access command list.
Voice access is a feature in Windows 11 that enables everyone to control their PC and author text using only their voice and without an internet connection. For example, you can open and switch between apps, browse the web, and read and author email using your voice. For more information, go to Use voice access to control your PC & author text with your voice.

Launch voice access
You can launch voice access from Settings or by using Windows search.
Start voice access from Settings

In the Start menu, select SettingsAccessibilitySpeech.

Turn on the Voice access switch.
Tip: If you want to automatically launch voice access every time you start your computer, select the “Start voice access before you sign in to your PC” or “Start voice access after you sign into your PC” checkboxes.
Start voice access from Windows search

Open Windows search and type voice access.

Select Open to start voice access.
Tip: Select Pin to Start or Pin to taskbar to make voice access quicker to find in the future.
Download language files
Voice access is currently available in the following languages and dialects: English–US, English–UK, English–India, English–New Zealand, English–Canada, English–Australia, Spanish–Spain, Spanish–Mexico, German–Germany, French–France, and French–Canada. The first time you launch voice access we check if your display language is something that is supported. If yes, you can continue with the setup experience. If we identify that your display language is not in the supported list of languages, we still give you the option to launch voice access, but in English (US). You can either choose to proceed at this point or turn off voice access.

When you turn on voice access for the first time, you are prompted to download voice access language files to be used by on-device speech recognition. Select Download to continue or Not now if you want to do it later. The download might take a few minutes.

You can switch to a different language at any time from Voice Access SettingsLanguages.

Once the language files have been downloaded, voice access works regardless of your internet connection status.

Set up your microphone
After successfully downloading the language files, you can now use voice access both online and offline. However, before you get started, you have to select which microphone you want to use.

When the speech model is downloaded, the Set up your mic for voice access window opens. Select the microphone you want to use from the Microphone list if it’s not already selected.

If you are unable to find the microphone you want to use from the list, select Add new microphone. If you need to check or adjust any sound-related settings, select Sound settings.

Select(Next), and then select Done to finish setting up voice access and start using it right away. Alternatively, you can first read the interactive guide. For more information, refer to Getting started with voice access.
Note: Use of the microphone by voice access is controlled by your privacy settings. To check that microphone use is allowed, navigate to SettingsPrivacy & securityMicrophoneLet apps access your microphoneLet desktop apps access your microphone.
Note: Voice access works best with a microphone that is less likely to capture background and ambient sounds. For more information, refer to section «Voice access settings» in Getting started with voice access.

За этот срок в десятую «винду» добавили массу новых функций, а сегодня, 8 сентября 2019 года, одной из таких стало больше. Отныне все пользователи компьютеров, планшетов, ноутбуков и прочих электронных устройств, работающих на ее базе, имеют возможность совершать голосовые звонки через сеть сотового оператора. Звонить можно как на номера в пределах страны, так и за ее пределами на любые международные, что, вне каких-либо сомнений, является огромным плюсом для тех, кто часто общаться с использованием голосовой связи.
Считанные часы назад состоялся релиз новой версии приложения Your Phone («Ваш телефон»), скачать которую можно из магазина Microsoft Store, где она доступна совершенно бесплатно. Это оригинальное программное обеспечение от создателей десятой «винды», которое работает со смартфонами на базе Android и iOS. Его функциональные возможности постоянно расширяются, но по большей части такие оказываются доступны именно на «зеленом роботе». Теперь, сейчас, при помощи этого приложения прямо через Windows 10 можно совершать голосовые звонки, то есть будут использоваться микрофон и динамик компьютера, ноутбука или иного устройства. В ряде случаев это может быть удобно.
Так, в частности, через приложение Your Phone можно позвонить по любому номеру прямо из под операционной системы Windows 10. В таком случае звонок совершит смартфон на базе Android, подключенный к «винде» каким-либо образом. Он будет передавать все сведения на компьютер в режиме реального времени, в результате чего никаких сложностей во время звонка не возникнет. Компания Microsoft отмечает, что новая возможность пока что проходит бета-тестирование, поэтому в нее работе могут возникать различные неполадки и баги. Все такие будут устранены в ближайшие несколько недель за счет «обратной связи» от пользователей. Помимо стандартных функций, во время звонка можно набирать дополнительные цифры, отключать микрофон, сбрасывать звонок и выполнять другие действия.
При этом звонить можно как на любые номера, набирая их каждый раз заново, так и на таковые из списка контактов. Все это может быть очень удобно в ряде случаев. Функциональные возможности данного программного обеспечения продолжат расширяться и дальше, в результате чего у пользователей вскоре будет еще больше возможностей, чем в настоящее время. Повышенная степень интеграции Android и Windows 10 возможна за счет того, что первая не имеет каких-либо ограничений в этом плане, чего нельзя сказать об iOS, при использовании которой пользователей iPhone и iPad всячески контролируют и ограничивают. Именно поэтому звонить через «винду», используя «айфон» в качестве промежуточного звена, нельзя.

Is Voice access not working on your Windows PC? If so, this post will help you. Voice access is a Windows built-in feature that allows you to control your PC using voice commands and enter text using your voice. You can enable this feature using Windows Settings. Open Settings using Win+I and go to Accessibility > Speech to enable Voice access.
The Voice access feature seems to be not working for some Windows users. The problem might occur due to a lack of the necessary language pack, a damaged microphone, disabled microphone permissions, etc.
If the Voice access feature is not working on your Windows PC, here are the solutions you can use to fix the problem:
- Make sure your PC has an active internet connection.
- Ensure your microphone is working correctly.
- Enable microphone access.
- Download the supported language pack for Voice access.
- Check related services.
- Try disabling Windows Speech Recognition.
1] Make sure your PC is connected to an active internet connection
If you are having difficulty while setting up the Voice access feature for the first time, you need an active internet connection to download the corresponding language files. Hence, if the scenario is applicable, you can check your network connection and make sure your internet is working fine.
However, once you configure the settings, you can use the Voice access feature offline without an internet connection.
2] Ensure your microphone is working correctly
Another potential cause of the issue could be your microphone. You must ensure that your microphone is in proper working condition physically. Connect it to a different device and see if it can take voice commands. You can also test the microphone on your Windows PC using Settings. And make sure it is correctly configured.
You can also try plugging your headset into a different USB port and see if it works fine.

3] Enable microphone access
You might have disabled microphone access for desktop and other apps, intentionally or unintentionally. Check if you see a “Microphone access denied” message. If so, you need to turn on microphone access for the Voice access feature. Here’s how you can do that:
- First, open Settings using Win+I and go to the Privacy & security tab in the left-side pane.
- Now, under the App permissions section, select the Microphone option.
- Next, make sure the toggle associated with the Microphone access option is On.
- After that, scroll down and enable the Let desktop apps access your microphone toggle.
- Once done, the Voice access feature should work fine.

4] Download the supported language pack for Voice access
Voice access works only when you have downloaded and installed the correct language pack on your computer. It might be the case that the necessary language is missing which is why the tool is not working. If the scenario is applicable, download the required language pack to fix the issue.
Here’s how:
First, download the Speech.en-US.1.cab file from Microsoft and double-click on the file to open it.
Now, right-click on the zip file and select the Extract option. Then, extract the file at the desired location on your computer.
Once done, open the unzipped file and launch the installer by double-clicking on the MSIX file in the opened folder.
Next, in the installation wizard, press the Install button. If you have already installed the language pack, click on the Reinstall button to reinstall it.
When the installation is complete, close the installer window and check if Voice access is working properly.

5] Check related services
It might also be the case that the services necessary for features like Voice access and other microphone-based features are not running on your PC. Or, maybe they are stuck in a limbo state. Hence, if the scenario is applicable, start/restart the related services and then see if it helps resolve the issue. Here are the steps to do that:
- First, open the Run command box using Win+R and enter services.msc in the Open box to open the Services app.
- Now, locate the Agent Activation Runtime service and click on the Restart button to start this service again. If it is not running, press the Start button.
- Next, repeat the above steps for Human Interface Device Service and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder services.
- Once done, check if you can use the Voice access feature correctly.

6] Try disabling Windows Speech Recognition
If you have enabled the Windows Speech Recognition feature along with Voice access, try disabling the former one and check if the issue is resolved. Windows Speech Recognition is the classic voice command feature, while the Voice access feature is the newer version of it. If you have enabled both, there might be some interferences and Voice access might not work correctly. So, turn off Windows Speech Recognition and see if the problem is resolved. Here’s how:
- First, open the Settings app and go to the Accessibility > Speech section.
- Now, switch off the toggle associated with the Windows Speech Recognition feature.

Why is speech recognition not working?
There can be different reasons why Windows Speech Recognition is not working on your PC. The issue could be caused due to microphone issues, disabled microphone access permission, broken system files, corrupted or outdated drivers, or software conflicts. If you want to fix the issue, you can check your microphone and make sure it is working properly. Also, try re-enabling Windows Speech Recognition, checking the speech language, performing an SFC scan, or reinstalling the microphone driver.
How do I enable voice on Windows?
To enable or use voice recognition on Windows, open the Settings app using Win+I and go to the Time & language tab. Now, click on the Speech option, and under the Microphone section, click on the Get started button. In the opened Set up Speech Recognition wizard, follow the prompted instructions to correctly set up the voice recognition.

Есть адаптер блютуз 5.1 no name, работает исправно,отдельные дрова не просил и в комплекте их не было.
Есть блютуз наушники с микрофоном. Блютуз наушники подключаются как два отдельных прибора,наушники и головной телефон , при попытке поговорить через микрофон перестают работать стерео наушники и пропадают все звуки системы,как только разговор заканчивается звуки появляются. Тоесть головной телефон это микрофон + всратый канал звука ужасного качества, и при включении микрофона ,включается только этот канал через который ты слышишь только собеседника (ну если переназначить то и еще какие-нибудь программы со звуками или музыкой),только качество при этом ужасное, а если не включать микрофон то звук отличный. Не знаю как еще объяснить, помогите,хотябы понять в чем проблема в адаптере? или винде?
Попробовал на другом компе с 10,только другой како-то версии( не посмотрел), наушники подключались так же, притом даже пробовал другие наушники, та же история. Куда копать?
