- Due to the removal of registry tweaks and corresponding effects in Windows 11 the development is currently halted, because functions like setting the taskbar to the top through the registry are no longer working in the latest Windows 11 version(s).

Description
Taskbar11 customizes the look of the Windows 11 taskbar, which doesn’t have any options by default. The taskbar can be set to the top or bottom (default) of the screen, it also allows for setting various icon sizes.
Usage
Download and launch the executable «Taskbar11.exe». The program is portable.

Possibly works on other version of Windows. However, since Windows 11 is the first version with locked settings there really is no purpose to install it on earlier activated versions of Windows.

Операционная система получила новый лёгкий интерфейс на базе современного WinUI с оптимизированным ядром C++. В рамках обновления интерфейса кардинально переработаны важные системные компоненты — меню «Пуск» и панель задач. Последняя хоть и схожа внешне с классической панелью задач, как в прежних версиях по Windows 10 включительно, внутри совсем иная. Панель задач Windows 11 получила новые функции типа групп привязки и стыковки окон, однако лишилась некоторых былых функций, в частности, крепления по верхней и боковым граням экрана, перетаскивания на панель ярлыков, настройки размеров значков. У значков на панели задач Windows 11 может быть только дефолтный размер, а, соответственно, и размер самой панели не меняется. Чтобы сделать маленькую панель задач в Windows 11, необходимо прибегать к сторонним инструментам кастомизации системного интерфейса. Давайте рассмотрим трое из таковых – программу-твикер Winaero Tweaker, утилиту Taskbar11 с GitHub и программу для реализации классического меню «Пуск» StartIsBack.
Итак, панель задач в Windows 11, она не предусматривает настройку своего размера и настройку размера значков. Системный интерфейс Windows 11 задуман как универсальный адаптивный для разных устройств с разными размерами экрана. В 11-й Windows панель задач может быть только такой, как она есть.
Но с помощью сторонних инструментов мы можем изменить размер значков и установить такой, какой нам нужен.
Один из таких инструментов — бесплатная программа-твикер Winaero Tweaker, она хороша в случае комплексного применения её возможностей, в частности, твиков по возврату в Windows 11 классических функций. Бесплатная утилита Taskbar11 с GitHub — это небольшой узкопрофильный твикер для кастомизации панели задач в Windows 11. Настраивает расположение, поведение панели задач, прочие её моменты, а также реализует выбор разных размеров значков — маленький, средний, большой. В блоке настроек утилиты «Taskbar Size» указываем нужный размер: маленький – «Small», средний – «Medium», большой – «Large». И жмём «Save».
Программа-кастомайзер StartIsBack – это программа изначально для реализации в Windows 11 (и только в ней) альтернативного меню «Пуск» классического формата, как в Windows 7. Дополнительно программа реализует классическую панель задач, правда, только с частью её функциональных возможностей. И ещё программа может сделать кастомный проводник формата Windows 7 или 10. На выбор у программы есть несколько вариантов размеров значков и выбор отступов между ними.
Реализуемая StartIsBack панель задач являет собой классическую с некоторыми её возможностями. Эта панель подменяет собой нативную Windows 11, и, соответственно, её функционалом мы пользоваться не сможем. После установки программы классическая панель задач будет применена автоматически. Для её настройки в её контекстном меню жмём «Свойства».
И в разделе программных настроек «Taskbar» можем установить нужный размер значков и отступов между ними.
Поскольку первичная функция StartIsBack – это реализация кастомного меню «Пуск», его мы также получим по умолчанию. Если оно не нужно, в программных настройках можем его отключить.
При отключении кастомного меню «Пуск» будет работать нативное меню «Пуск» Windows 11, но в связке с реализуемой программой классической панелью задач оно не будет центрированным. Будет располагаться только слева, как и полагается ему в формате классической панели задач. При желании в разделе настроек «Taskbar» StartIsBack можно настроить расположение значков по центру.
Но такое расположение будет работать только для ярлыков программ, для системных кнопок работать не будет. Кнопки меню «Пуск», поиска, представления задач и виджетов будут размещены слева.

TaskbarX gives you control over the position of your taskbar icons.
TaskbarX will give you an original Windows dock like feel. The icons will move to the center or user given position when an icon gets added or removed from the taskbar. You will be given the option to choose between a variety of different animations and change their speeds. The animations can be disabled if you don’t like animations and want them to move in an instant. The center position can also be changed to bring your icons more to the left or right based on the center position. Currently all taskbar settings are supported including the vertical taskbar and unlimited taskbars.

How to use TaskbarX with Windows 11?

TaskbarX is build for Windows 10. On Windows 11 TaskbarX can only be used to change the background style of the taskbar until Windows 11 version number 10.0.22621.1265 Feb 2023. If you have a higher version than Windows 11 10.0.22621.1265 Feb 2023 TaskbarX will not work.

Commandline Arguments
-stop will stop TaskbarX, puts all icons back to the left and resets the taskbar style.
-tbs=1 will make the taskbar transparent. 2 blur, 3 acrylic, 4 transparent (with gradient), 5 opaque and 0 is disabled.
-ptbo=0 will set the offset of the primary taskbar based on the center.
-stbo=0 will set the offset of the secondary taskbar based on the center.
-cpo=1 will only center the primary taskbar. 0 is disabled.
-cso=1 will only center the secondary taskbar(s). 0 is disabled.
-as=backeaseout will set the animation style to BackEaseOut. “none” is instant.
-asp=500 will set the speed of the animation.
-lr=400 will set the refresh rate of the looper/taskbar checker.
-cib=1 will set the primary taskbar position in between start, search etc.. and the tray.
-ftotc=1 will update any toolbar when a tray icon gets added or removed.
-sr=1920 will put the icons to the left when screen width becomes 1920px.
-sr2=1920 will put the icons to the left when screen width becomes 1920px.
-sr3=1920 will put the icons to the left when screen width becomes 1920px.
-cfsa=1 will pause TaskbarX if a fullscreen app is running.
-obas=backeaseout will set the animation style to BackEaseOut when on battery mode.
-oblr=400 will set the refresh rate of the looper/taskbar checker when on battery mode.
-dct=1 will stop TaskbarX from centering the taskbar icons.
-hps=1 will hide the start button on the primary monitor.

What versions of Windows does TaskbarX support? TaskbarX only supports Windows 10 (and Windows 11 by using Windows 10 taskbar). Version 1709 and lower will have issues with the “taskbar styling” option but, the centering will work fine. Windows 7 does not work and is not supported. It could be working on Windows 8 but, is not officially tested and is also not supported.
Whats the difference between the normal version and the store version? The store version is exactly the same as the normal/free version. It’s a donation sytem. The store version does give you the benefit of automatic updates and easy installing.
Does TaskbarX change my settings or registry? No, TaskbarX is completely portable doesn’t change your settings or your registry. Closing TaskbarX will stop the centering.
How to run TaskbarX on startup? Once you click apply inside the Configurator a Taskschedule should be created with a delay of 3 seconds. If this doesn’t work try increasing the delay to like 10 seconds or so inside the Configurator under the Taskschedule tab.
How do i uninstall TaskbarX? Open the “TaskbarX Configurator” and hit the “Stop TaskbarX” button. This will stop the TaskbarX process and put your icons back to the left. The Store version is not capable of uninstalling a taskschedule.
If you get the error below then this explains how to fix it:
In your startmenu search for “Task Scheduler”.
On the left menu click on “Task Scheduler Library”. In the middle a list will appear.
Right click on the “TaskbarX” or “FalconX” entry and click “Delete”.
You can also use SCHTASKS /DELETE /TN "TaskbarX PCNAMEUSERNAME" to remove the scheduled task from the command line.

Скачать утилиту Taskbar11 можно с официальной страницы разработчика в GitHub . Учитывайте, что фильтр SmartScreen в Microsoft Edge может блокировать загрузку файла. Причина — «малая известность», по VirusTotal на дату написания этой статьи в файле всё чисто.
После скачивания и запуска Taskbar11 откроется окно настроек программы, где вы можете настроить следующие параметры:
- Taskbar Position — расположение панели задач. Два варианта — снизу или вверху рабочего стола.
- Taskbar Size — размер панели задач. Стандартный, маленький или большой. Учитывайте, что при выборе маленького размера, обрезается область с часами.
- Taskbar Indentation — расположение (кнопка Пуск слева или по центру).
- Taskbar Icons — возможность включить или отключить значки на панели задач, такие как поиск, чат, просмотр задач и Мини-приложения (виджеты).
- Taskbar Corner Icons — системные значки в области уведомлений (рукописный ввод, сенсорная клавиатура, виртуальная сенсорная панель).
- Taskbar Behavior — отметка позволяет автоматически скрывать панель задач с экрана.
По завершении выбора предпочитаемых настроек, достаточно нажать кнопку «Save», чтобы данные были сохранены (записываются в реестр), а проводник — перезапущен. В результате вы сразу увидите результат настроек, в примере на изображении — главная возможность программы: перемещение панели задач Windows 11 вверх.

В моем тесте утилита работает с некоторыми багами. В частности, меню при нажатии кнопки «Пуск» в любом случае открывается слева, даже если сама кнопка расположена по центру. Также заметил, что параметры после нажатия кнопки Save не всегда сохраняются. Тем не менее, не исключаю, что кого-то из читателей утилита сможет заинтересовать.
