eDrawings Viewer — программа для просмотра DWG и DFX-чертежей, созданных в любых существующих системах автоматизированного проектирования работ (САПР). Это бесплатная программа, подходящая для установки на компьютеры под управлением Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (только 64-битные системы). Интерфейс приложения выполнен на английском языке.
Программа eDrawings Viewer предназначена для профессионалов — архитекторов, инженеров, строителей и специалистов из других областей, которым приходится в ежедневной практике работать с файлами DWG и/или DXF — форматы, в котором сохраняются 2D/3D-чертежи различных САПР. Главное преимущество использования eDrawings Viewer — нет необходимости устанавливать на компьютер ресурсоемкую систему автоматизированного проектирования.
Вообще, eDrawings Viewer представляет собой выделенный в самостоятельное приложение модуль, входящий в состав eDrawings Professional — полнофункциональную САПР. Потому данная программа является лучшим из всех существующих программных средств для просмотра DWG и DXF-файлов, созданных именно в этой САПР. Однако приложение не предъявляет никаких требований к первоисточнику, потому с его помощью пользователи могут открывать на компьютере DWG-файлы, созданные в любых других поддерживающих данный формат САПР.
В связи с этим отметим, что eDrawings Viewer используется для просмотра собственного формата Solidworks — CAD-файлы с расширением «.sldprt» и «.sldasm». Оба используются для хранения трехмерных данных: 3D-моделей деталей и 3D-сборок (ассамблеи трехмерных объектов), соответственно.
Помимо открытия файлов, eDrawings Viewer имеет и другие функциональные возможности.

- Возможность измерения геометрии в чертежах собственного формата eDrawings. При необходимости защиты конфиденциальных проектных данных, функцию измерения можно отключить.
- Возможность создания макетов путем выбора видов чертежей и последующим их перетаскиванием мышью в созданный макет.
- Поддержка объектов с гиперссылками. Аннотации к линиям сечения и деталям в файлах чертежей являются гиперссылками на соответствующий вид сечения или детали. Когда указатель перемещается над линией сечения или другим объектом, то для соответствующего вида автоматически показывается аннотация.
- Наличие 3D-указателя для указания места на всех чертежных видах во всех чертежных файлах. С помощью 3D-указателя связанный набор перекрестий появляется на каждом из видов чертежей.
- Инструменты разметки делают возможным совместную работу над CAD-проектами, позволяя создавать, редактировать и сохранять обзоры, выделять 2D или 3D-объекты, а также добавлять комментарии.
- Возможность изучения внутренней структуры объектов с помощью динамического поперечного сечения.
- Экспорт чертежей целиком или отдельных их фрагментов в файлы STL (3D-модели), TIFF, JPEG, или BMP (2D-графика).
- Просмотр файлов 3D-моделей. Обладая широким набором функций и способностью открывать файлы многих типов, eDrawings Viewer позволяет профессионалам, студентам, производителям и обычным пользователям исследовать 3D-модели на своем компьютере.
