    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

In-order to get more clarity on this issue and to assist you with appropriate troubleshooting steps, reply with answers to the below questions:

    1. Are you aware of any changes made on your PC, prior to this issue?
    2. Is this issue specific while playing a particular game?
    3. Which edition of Windows are you currently using?

A Kernel Power Event 41 can occur in the following scenarios.

Scenario 1: The computer restarts, and there is a Stop error BugcheckCode in the event data.

Scenario 2: The computer is shut down by pressing and holding the power button.

Scenario 3: The system randomly restarts and no Stop error BugcheckCode is listed, or the computer is completely unresponsive (hard hang).

I suggest you refer the article on Kernel
Power Event ID 41 and follow the steps for the scenario that is causing this error on your PC.

Additionally, you can refer the article on Windows
Kernel event ID 41 error «The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first» in Windows
    and check if that helps.

    Hello,

Thank you for replying with the required information.

What is the make and model of your PC?

As you have mentioned that the system randomly restarts and no Stop error BugcheckCode is listed, or the computer is completely unresponsive,
this scenario usually indicates a problem with the hardware. To help isolate the problem, I suggest you to refer the section
Scenario 3: The system randomly restarts and no Stop error BugcheckCode is listed, or the computer is completely unresponsive (hard hang)
from the following article on Windows Kernel event
ID 41 error «The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first» in Windows
and follow the steps mentioned in the section to isolate the cause of the issue.

If you see that the computer generates a Stop error that contains a BugcheckCode value that is not reported in an event ID 41, change the restart behavior for the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

    1.
Right-click My Computer, and then click
    Properties.

    2.
    Click Advanced system settings.

    3.
    Click the Advanced tab.

    4.
    In the Startup and Recovery
    section, click Settings.

    5.
Click to clear the Automatically restart
    check box.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to follow the methods mentioned below:

    Method 1: Perform clean boot.

Check if any third party application is causing this issue. Refer the article on
How to perform a clean boot in Windows
for steps to perform clean boot.

    Note:
A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

Your computer may temporarily lose some functionality while in a clean boot environment, however that functionality will return when you
reset the computer to start normally after you have finished your troubleshooting.

Method 2: Adjust PC to best performance.

    To do that,

    1.
In the search box on the taskbar, type
    performance
, then select Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.

    2.
On the Visual Effects tab, select
Adjust for best performance > Apply.

    3.
Restart your PC and see if that speeds up your PC.

Method 3: Check your hard disk for errors.

    To do that,

    1. Double click on This PC icon.
    2. Right-click the hard disk drive that may be damaged.
    3. Click Properties, and then click the Tools tab.
    4. Click on the Check option.
    5. Now click on the Scan Drive option.

Meaning of BSOD Weekly. BugcheckCode 209. New to all this :/?

Having a sign that tells us of issues that we need to solve in life for us to move forward is a great idea. While it does not always work in life, it does in computers. Messages that indicate the issues your computer encounters are called error codes. They appear whenever there is a problem such as incorrect data input or faulty hardware. Computer programmers add predefined error codes and messages in their system codes so whenever there is an issue, it prompts the users. While error codes may be predefined, there are different sets of error codes with different meanings for other kinds of computer programs.

Blue Screen of Death BSOD is a stop error screen that is being displayed on a Windows computer every time a fatal system error or a serious system crash occurs. This is the time when the operating system can no longer work and operate safely. Blue screens usually gives out a stop code which users can use to determine the root of the problem.

Generally, blue screens are a result of an issue with the computer hardware or its driver software. Low-level softwares can also cause the system to crash and trigger a BSOD. However, regular apps and programs can not cause BSOD if they crash.

Windows automatically makes a “minidump” file when a blue screen arises. This file contains details about the crash that will help identify the main cause of the blue screen error.

Causes of BSOD Weekly. BugcheckCode 209. New to all this :/?

To fix a Blue Screen of Death error, you need to take note of the text on the screen when it happened. It often contains a list of files associated with the crash including device drivers that could have triggered the error. Since most Windows are designed to automatically restart after a blue screen, you need to make sure that you disable this feature in order to do any necessary troubleshooting in future cases of BSOD.

One most important thing to do after a blue screen is to ask yourself what you did before it occurred. It could be that you are trying to install a new software, updating a device driver or installing updates — the key is there. You can also check your storage and make sure that there is enough space for Windows to operate safely. You can also set hardware settings and BIOS to default to help troubleshoot the problem.

I get this problem once every 4 or 5 days and only after just loading into windows never when windows has been running, I’m guessing is a startup related problem but I don’t know it could be a faulty ram, sound card, windows itself etc. What’s the first step to getting this clarified??

it doesn’t happen all the time tho. I found an article that describes kinda the troubleshooting steps http://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-7-stop-errors-or-blue-screens-guide

from my video I can’t find the stop error code maybe you guys can help me find it on event viewer to start onto some diagnosis.

If I were you I would start with getting the dump file , if you can.

Launching into safe mode would also be a good start to see if removing certain programs and drivers stop the issue

I don’t know if it’s obvious ,but removing any over clocks or ram timing changes and setting everything back to factory stock

only after just loading into windows

try & keep your phone or another type of recording device to capture the crash and any messages etc.. leave it next to your PC, and hopefully move quickly

This will help with Interpreting bsod files

Find out how to turn off automatic restarts in windows 10 when bsod occurs, find out how to make w10 show the old bsod instead of the sad face emoji like macncrap shows

Sudden system shutdown most of the time is bad ram #1. Could you please post your system specs?

can be a bad hsf mount too for overheat, but todays boards if the hsf is on too tight it causes ram issues due to warping

yes I updated them on my tab. I’ll have my phone ready and will find out about getting a dump/bsod file and use the utility and disable automatic restart but I like that face.

I have an H70 Corsair on the cpu and it didn’t give me problems until I put windows 10.

BugCheckCode 209 is DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Can be a buggy driver, bad RAM stick, wrong BIOS configuration, and if your overclocking: low voltage.

Run MemTest86 first and then Prime95 version 26.6 on Blend.

my audigy2zs uses a driver that’s not official cause official won’t record audio from microphone well. Might be a bug in win10 it worked without crashes on 7.
