Bootcamp windows 10 bluetooth drivers

Apple support gave me a Microsoft number to call: 866 474-4880 that is not valid. Not sure why Microsoft cares and Apple needs to do a better job of providing drives and supporting bootcamp issues other than installation- it sounded like that was going to be the extend of how far the support technician could go!

Simple question, how do I make bluetooth work on my late 2016 mac laptop with latest version of Sierra installed?

Install Bootcamp Drivers In Windows 10 To Fix Bluetooth And Keyboard

Install Bootcamp Drivers In Windows 10 To Fix Bluetooth And Keyboard I have tried updating windows, updating bootcamp, reinstalling bootcamp drivers from usb, and fresh install of windows. nothing’s worked. any help would be appreciated. If you are experiencing display, keyboard, mouse, audio, built in camera, or microphone issues while running windows 10 on your mac, you can repair the boot camp drivers to fix issues. you can repair the boot camp if the boot camp control panel is not working properly as well. My bluetooth stopped working once windows 10 upgrade was installed. i found this simple fix: open device manager, open the bluetooth radios subtree, right click the «apple broadcom built in bluetooth» icon, and choose the «update driver software » menu item. choose «browse my computer for driver software». Follow through the installation wizard. if you’re on a newer version of windows 11, you’ll notice that the bootcamp app doesn’t yet work and the drivers are actually still missing. we’ll fix these next. inside each of the driver folders in apple, right click on the .inf file and install.

Keyboard just stopped working when in windows 10 after the latest update 1809. i installed drivers from boot camp assistant again and it didn’t help. You need the apple keyboard driver that comes in the bootcamp 5, you can either download the full pack from apple (version 5.1.5621 works), or download only the keyboard driver from my dropbox (64bit windows only):. Download boot camp drivers for windows. boot back into windows, run the setup.exe file off the usb (let it run through the driver installation process again). once completed, reboot the machine and check if bluetooth works fine. When the bootcamp bluetooth is not working, it’s usually a conflicting driver or improper installation to blame. a quick fix is to remove the motioninjoy game driver. many users got things up and running by reinstalling the bluetooth drivers in the device manager.

So through trial and error on my 2018 Macbook Pro (with a T2 chip), and booted into Windows 10 with Boot Camp, I figured out a workaround to force my bluetooth speaker to not re-pair properly after a reboot. Steps to try:

  • someone suggested via this reddit post to fully power down the Mac, wait a bit, then boot directly to Windows. Applies if you’re on Mojave
  • but that wasn’t enough for me. So the next step was to remove all Bluetooth devices in the Settings app, then go into Device Manager and remove all Bluetooth hardware. Then Action > Scan for hardware changes, to readd Bluetooth hardware.

Removing all Bluetooth devices beforehand is important, as they magically pop back into Device Manager if you don’t. Afterwards I was able to get my speaker to pair once again.

Depending on which Mac you have, with older Macs you probably have a separate Bluetooth driver. It might have options to turn off power saving; try disabling that if possible:

… getting a Bluetooth speaker to work is a must, thanks to the T2 leading to a crap audio experience in Windows 10 — sound glitching, plus the Spotify app just causes all sound to cut out.

Unless you have one of the very early Intel Macs, the Windows Support Software is suppose to be available to the Windows installer during the installation process. This is so the Windows installer can access any drivers included in the Windows Support Software that are not already part of the installation software provided by Microsoft.

If you have an older Mac and are using the current Windows 10 release, then most likely any required drivers in the Windows Support Software will be already included in the Windows 10 release. In this case, having the Windows Support Software available to the Windows installer during the installation process may not be necessary.

Once Widows is installed, additional software can be installed by executing the application included in Windows Support Software. Afterwards, additional software can be installed through the Apple Software Update application. Windows Update may also provide software.

Your question indicates you downloading the Windows Support Software after installing Windows. You can post a comment, if I am wrong about this.

My best guess would be you used the Boot Camp Assistant on a Mac of a different year and/or model to download the Windows Support Software. This is a common mistake. If you did this, then most likely the wrong Windows Support Software was downloaded.

The other possibility is your Mac Pro is older than the 2013 model. In this case, Apple does not support Windows 10 for your Mac. If this is true, then you should have included this in your question.

The fact that you do not mention running, but instead mention, indicates that you did run which terminated early with an error message. The message either states lack of support for Windows 10 or you have the wrong version of Boot Camp.
