Battery Mode — приложение, которое заменяет стандартный индикатор батареи Windows на более красивый и функциональный, а также добавляет удобное управление подсветкой.
Особенности Battery Mode:
- Удобное переключение режимов электропитания. Режимы управления питанием позволяют выбирать, что больше нужно в данный момент — производительность или продолжительность работы от батареи.
- Режим Экономия энергии позволяет увеличить время работы ноутбука до двух раз дольше.
- Режим Высокая производительность отключает все энергосберегающие функции и повышает быстродействие. Это добавит производительности, снизит подтормаживание системы и добавит FPS в играх.
- Режим Сбалансированный — система сама будет управлять питанием.
- Удобное управление подсветкой
- Теперь не нужно зажимать хитрые комбинации клавиш, чтобы отрегулировать подсветку. Просто откройте Battery Mode и отрегулируйте подсветку ползунком.
- Надоело прыгание подсветки при подключении зарядного устройства или смене режима питания? Включите опцию Фиксированная яркость экрана — подсветка больше не будет изменяться сама.
- Горячие клавиши
- Режимы управления питанием можно переключать с помощью «горячих» клавиш Alt+Pause
- Используйте вспомогательную программу NextScheme, чтобы переключать режимы в своих скриптах или программах.

На 8-ре троттлинг работает, а значит переключение режимов очень актуально, не только для ноутов полезно. Рубануть троттлинг можно Электропитание — Настройка — Управление питание проца — Минимальное состояние проца. Соотв. если выставите 0 — будет сбрасывать частоты до минимума, если 65 — будет сбрасывать на треть.

Примечание: При выборе пользовательского плана питания изменить режим питания может быть не удастся. Если вы не можете настроить режим питания в Power &, откройте панель управления ,выберите Система и безопасность > Параметры Power Options, а затем выберите сбалансированный план питания.

Battery Mode is an advanced power management and battery charge indicator. Power Management Modes allow you to choose what you no longer need at the moment: the duration of the performance, or battery life. It provides backlight control, easy power scheme selection, detailed battery information and a lot of handy features for customization.

Advanced Power Scheme Selection
- Battery Mode allows you to change current power scheme right from the battery popup window.
- Unlike the standard popup in Windows 7-8.1, Battery Mode provides a full list of power schemes available on your system.
- You can setup a schedule to change power scheme automatically.
Comfortable Backlight Control
- You can use Battery Mode to control backlight on both internal and external monitors.
- Note: External monitors should support I2C interface and DDC/CI standard to work.
- Check the «Fixed screen brightness» option to prevent backlight level from changing when attaching power supply or changing power scheme.
- Brightness icon near backlight slider allows you to enable or disable «Adaptive brightness» (if your device support it).
Hotkeys for Power Users
- Battery Mode provides a customizable hotkey to change a power scheme without opening it’s window.
- You can use command-line parameters to switch power scheme or control backlight in you scripts.

All laptop computers come with Lithium-ion batteries that power the computer when it is not connected to an AC power outlet. When a battery is detected, Windows displays a battery indicator icon in the system tray. This icon used to offer many features but Microsoft removed them in the new versions Windows 10 and 11. We can bring all those advanced features back using Battery Mode too.
Battery Mode is an open-source tool that adds an additional battery indicator in the notification area of Windows desktop. It comes with some very advanced options that are not available from the battery icon provided by Microsoft Windows 10 or 11.
Battery Mode can be installed on Windows or it can be used as a portable application. It stays in the system tray and when we right-click on it, we can access advanced options. We can turn off the screen, change the power profiles and view battery status.
In the options for the Battery Mode application, we can change the icon color and style. We can decide whether to show power scheme indicator on the primary monitor only or on all the connected monitors. We can also configure power schemes to be used by the Battery Mode application. We can cycle through these power schemes using the hotkey Alt+Pause.
When we click on the small battery icon in the taskbar, it displays a small window containing all the information about the battery status – such as current power source, full battery life, remaining battery life etc.
Battery Mode does not modify any system files or replace the original battery icon displayed on Windows desktop. If you don’t want two battery icons displayed (one native battery indication and second from Battery Mode), then you can disable the Microsoft battery icon from the notification settings.
