About Graphics Drivers:
While installing the graphics driver allows the system to properly recognize the chipset and the card manufacturer, updating the video driver can bring about various changes.
It can improve the overall graphics experience and performance in either games or various engineering software applications, include support for newly developed technologies, add compatibility with newer GPU chipsets, or resolve different problems that might have been encountered.
When it comes to applying this release, the installation steps should be a breeze, as each manufacturer tries to make them as easy as possible so that each user can update the GPU on their own and with minimum risks (however, check to see if this download supports your graphics chipset).
Therefore, get the package (extract it if necessary), run the setup, follow the on-screen instructions for a complete and successful installation, and make sure you reboot the system so that the changes take effect.
That being said, download the driver, apply it on your system, and enjoy your newly updated graphics card. Moreover, check with our website as often as possible in order to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.

Hello Guru3D,
I would like to post my simple tutorial on how to install or upgrade Catalyst software on Windows Server 2008 R2.
For quite a few years the official AMD statement has been «Catalyst software is windows server ready but officially we do not support server operating systems«. And I have never understood why AMD have been so reluctant to add server on their support list especially given that all it takes is to add missing WIN_2008_R2 line to ATI_OS_Include table inside the catalyst x64-bit .msi files:
Index 1, 2, 3, 4, …
OS WIN_2008_R2
Version 6.1
Is64-bit Yes
IsMCE Blank
IsWindowsServer YesServer should get AMD support because noone’s gonna convince me AMD video cards are not for windows server. Is this really a good idea to have powerful server hardware without a decent video card for various 3D needs? Why should AMD loose this market share?
Again, it only takes to edit a couple .msi’s to get Catalyst to perfectly fit Server R2 — I’ve tested all, the driver, the catalyst, the video converter and the hydra. AMD stream also works fine with Adobe flash and such.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~We’ll need Microsoft Orca .msi editor:
=> Download Orca MSI Editor => http://www.technipages.com/download-orca-msi-editor.html
=> Read about Orca MSI Editor http://support.microsoft.com/kb/255905
Download latest or any Catalyst version you need from the official AMD support site:
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
Run each Catalyst software, such as driver/control center/avivo/hydravision, let it extract to a folder BUT do not install yet. First we’ll edit those .msi packages that have WIN_WIN7_64 listed, adding to them WIN_2008_R2 line. Check them all, you’ll need these ones:
Driver:
…_vista64_win7_64_dd\Packages\Drivers\Display\W76A_INF\C7122939.msi
…_vista64_win7_64_dd\Packages\Apps\OpenCL64.msi
…_vista64_win7_64_dd\Packages\Apps\DnDTranscoding64.msi
Catalyst Control Center:
…_vista_win7_32-64_ccc\Packages\Apps\CCC2\Core-Static\ccc-core-static.msi
…_vista_win7_32-64_ccc\Packages\Apps\CCC2\Fuel64\ccc-fuel.msi
AMD (AVIVO) Video Converter
…__vista_win7_32-64_xcode\Packages\Apps\AVIVO64\AVIVO64.msi
Hydravision
…__vista_win7_32-64_hydravision\Packages\Apps\HydraVision\HydraVision.msi
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Editting complete, you can install each catalyst software one by one doing reboot after each. I always do in this order: DRIVER > CATALYST > AVIVO > HYDRA.
In case you are upgrading, be sure to go this way:
1. Uninstall ALL ATI video card related drivers and software.
2. Reboot.
=> 3. From windows device manager, completely DELETE the standard VGA driver. It’s important to delete standard VGA to avoid the error message: «The Catalyst Control Center is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adapter«. If you delete the standard VGA device from your system BEFORE you install the new driver and catalyst, that error will never pop-up. Writing this as I myself have many times had this error.4. Reboot.
5. Edit your catalyst software as shown in the post above.
6. Install DRIVER then CATALYST then AVIVO and HYDRA, with reboot aftter each.7. Don’t forget to enjoy.
Even a very powerful server hardware is rather cut on functionality and little attractive without a decent video card for various 3D needs from 3D modeling to occasional gaming. So let’s hope AMD will do finally add support for server operating systems as it is much desired by system administrators as well as home users.

I totally agree, I use windows server 2008 R2 because my game pc is also hosting servers for my clan and running the clan website.
And also because its a great operating system for application development and as a workstation.It all works fine and I have used the latest 11.10 preview 2 driver which didn’t require this editing.
-
Just as any version, Catalyst 11.10 does not need editting to install and work, but in this case it installs not fully: parts like OpenCL and APP Runtime do not install and don’t work, neither Hydra nor the Video Converter unless you edit them.
So you still have to edit these files:
C7122939.msi
OpenCL64.msi
DnDTranscoding64.msi
ccc-fuel.msiIf you need AMD Converter and Hydra, you will also need to fix AVIVO.msi and HYDRA.msi.

Sorry for my bad English, but is generated by an automatic translator willing.
First of all, thank you all for sharing this valuable information, but I can not use.
I installed Win2008 R2 as workstation, and I can not install the Catalyst control panel for an Asus HD5450.
In the diver version 11.9, in the *. msi indicated, the strings specified below, have already entered by default, so I did not clear the need to enter the program with Orca.msi editor.
OS WIN_2008_R2
Version 6.1
Is64-bit Yes
Blank IsMCE
Yes IsWindowsServerThe same applies to the version 11.10 Preview 3.
In both cases, following these steps religiously, you install the driver, but not the catalyst control panel.
Do you have any idea that can help me.
Greetings from Italy
Thanks

AMD\Win10-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-2020-Edition-19.12.2-Dec12\Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\C0349781.inf (название файла может быть другое, зависит от версии драйвера)
в этом файле ищем в начале:
[Manufacturer]
%ATI% = ATI.Mfg, NTamd64.10.0.1..14310, NTamd64.10.0.1, NTamd64.6.0.1, NTamd64.6.1.1, NTamd64.6.2.1, NTamd64.6.3.1
[ATI.Mfg.NTamd64.10.0.1]
и меняем например так:
[Manufacturer]
%ATI% = ATI.Mfg, NTamd64.10.0.1..14310, NTamd64.6.1, NTamd64.6.0.1, NTamd64.6.1.1, NTamd64.6.2.1, NTamd64.6.3.1
[ATI.Mfg.NTamd64.6.1]
после этого, дрова для Windows 10 должны встать на Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 (R2)
Ставить надо вручную, через диспетчер устройств

Ох уж некропостеры. Уже вроде как есть виндавс сервер аля виндавс 10, на одинаковом ядре. Драйвера подходят от 10ки. Но это не точно
