Главная проблема заключается в том, что если ввести серийник Висты, то в диалогах активации пропадает одна важная сылка, именуемая как «Показать другие способы активации». Поэтому с этого момента можно активировать Висту только через интернет.

Но мы ведь любим использовать ВМВаре, а вмварные машины из под виртуальных сетей, не являясь членами домена, очень плохо активируются через инет и виста кричит, что ей плохо с кодом ошибки: 0x8004FE33. Поэтому хочется активироваться по телефону, тогда мы звоним в центр активации, но сотрудники и сотрудници помочь не могут, ибо нет заветной ссылочки, поэтому они передают Ваше дело на рссмотрение саппорту, который всех спасает предлагая воспользоваться утилитой slui.exe с параметром 4. После чего все становится хорошо.

Но нам же рассказали про slui.exe, не просто же так, наверное хотели, чтобы мы им побаловались и вот, если ввести slui 23, то Вам сообщат, что срок лицензии виндоувс заканчивается через 1193046 часов, и виндоувс перестанет работать, к чему бы это?
Можно еще много циферок повводить и подивиться на обилие диалогов.

P.S. Голос девушки, диктующий активационый код, очень классно произносит цифру «6».

Что такое активация операционной системы и как ее выполнить?

Активация — это технология защиты от пиратства, которая позволяет проверять подлинность лицензий программных продуктов Microsoft. После активации пользователь получает постоянный доступ к стандартным возможностям Windows, а также подтверждение правильного использования ключа продукта. Без активации операционная система Windows Vista /7 будет работать в полнофункциональном режиме не более 30 дней.

Неактивированная операционная система Windows 8 сразу имеет некоторые ограничения в функционале: постоянный watermark в правом нижнем углу рабочего стола, недоступное меню персонализации интерфейса Modern и напоминание о необходимости выполнить активацию каждые два часа.

При наличии доступа в Интернет ОС Windows автоматически подключится к веб-узлу Microsoft и выполнит активацию. Если же подключение к Интернет отсутствует или недоступно, то активировать программное обеспечение можно «вручную» по телефону.

Чтобы выполнить активацию Windows Vista / 7 «вручную», необходимо проделать следующие действия:

Нажать Пуск — Панель управления — Система

На появившемся экране нажать ссылку «Активировать Windows сейчас«. При наличии сетевого соединения на ПК, следующий экран может иметь следующий вид:

Нажать «Активировть по сети» и дождаться результатов активации.

Когда доступ в Интернет отсутствует, либо имеются нестандартные настройки подключения программы к Интернет, активация по сети не работает. Тогда необходимо произвести активацию Windows по телефону.

Для этого необходимо перед запуском программы активации (см. пункт 1) вынуть сетевой кабель (Ethernet) из системного блока ПК. Тогда экран «Активация Windows» будет иметь следующий вид:

Нажимаем пункт «Показать другие способы активации» и на следующем экране выбираем пункт «Использовать автоматическую телефонную систему«.

После указания региона, в котором Вы находитесь, система предложит оптимальный бесплатный телефонный номер, на который следует позвонить с кнопочного телефона, находясь перед своим компьютером. Затем выполнить активацию своей копии ОС Windows Vista / 7, выполняя речевые инструкции русскоязычной системы.

После выполнения активации по телефону не забудьте подключить обратно сетевой кабель (Ethernet) компьютера. Активация выполнена!

Чтобы вручную активировать ОС Windows 8, необходимо запустить мастер активации продукта:

На начальном экране навести указатель мыши на правый верхний угол экрана, чтобы открыть меню чудо-кнопок.
Щелкнуть кнопку Параметры.
Нажать кнопку Изменить параметры компьютера.
Если компьютер не активирован, в параметрах компьютера будут представлены инструкции, связанные с ошибкой активации.
Выбираем пункт «Активация по телефону» и проделываем дальнейшие действия аналогично активации Windows 7 (описана выше).

Можно ли переустановить Windows Vista / 7, потребуется ли повторная активация?

Можно. Число установок Windows на один и тот же компьютер не ограничено, потому что активация Windows связывает ключ продукта со сведениями об оборудовании компьютера. При значительных изменениях оборудования, таких как одновременная замена жесткого диска и модулей памяти, может потребоваться повторная активация Windows. Сообщение о необходимости повторной активации копии Windows появится в течение трех дней.

Occassionally some Windows Vista user may need to activate his or her copy of Windows Vista operating system through phone activation, such as in situation where the computer is offline without Internet access. Other possible reason to use phone to activate instead of automatic online activation is failure or facing problem to activate Vista online, and user have to fallback to alternative.

Windows Vista customer normally have to activate all editions of the OS through Microsoft’s activation server, with the exception of preinstalled OEM (recovery) copies of Vista. For OEM version of Windows Vista, Microsoft no longer provides any support. User must contact the OEM to activate the OS, where the contact information should be included in the support documentation that came with your computer or OEM Vista installation CD/DVD package. However, an OEM (retail) version of Windows Vista installation DVD that is bought separately and did not come preinstalled on a OEM computer is still supported by Microsoft.

For most users, activation process normally starts with attempt to activate Vista online. Online activation is simple and effective way to activate the copy of installed Vista, and when it fails or cannot activate successfully, then user can opt to activate by phone. If you want to skip and bypass online activation and go straight to activate Vista or Windows 7 by phone (i.e. in the case of offline PC with no Internet connection, do these steps:

Click on Start Menu.
Type slui.exe 4 into Start Search, and then press Enter.
Go to step 10.

Normal activation procedures for Windows Vista, including fallback on phone activation:

Click on Start Menu.
Right click on Computer and then click Properties, or open the Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> System icon.
Scroll down to the Windows activation section and click on the Activate Windows now link.
Click on Activate Windows online now.

Note: If you have not entered a product key during installation, the wizard will ask for a genuine serial key. If you uncertain of the serial number key used, or want to change the key used, click on Change product key link.

And, this step must fails in order to go to phone activation.
If the online activation process, user can continue to attempt to activate using automated phone system by clicking on Use the automated phone system to activate option.

Select your location and click on Next button when prompt to find available phone numbers for activation.

Click Continue if prompted with UAC dialog box, except for those who had disabled UAC.
A local phone number or nearest telephone number will be displayed on screen, together with a set of Installation ID (54 numbers in total – 6 numbers in 9 groups) generated by Windows.
Call the activation phone number.
The call will be answered by automated voice response (AVR) system, that asked caller to speak, or if voice recognition failed, press the phone button to enter the Installation ID listed behind “Step 2”. The numbers needed to enter is a lot (54). If you want simpler way to do it, just speak and enter anything to let automated service fails, and then wait for the call to transfer to activation operator (a real human). Sometimes, if for some reason the Installation ID entered is not accepted by the AVR, your call may be transferred to human operator too.

Note: The human operator may ask for the reason that causes requirement of reactivation or activation of Vista. Just tell the truth, e.g. hardware upgrade, transferring to new PC (for non-OEM edition only) and etc (see activation FAQ).
No matter who you talk to (machine or human CSO), a set of Confirmation ID numbers which consists of 48 digits (6 numbers in 8 groups) will be given if Microsoft believes that your copy of Windows Vista is genuine and legitimate.
Write down the Confirmation ID.
Back to Windows Vista, type in the Confirmation ID given by the phone system into the wizard boxes after the “Step 3”, and then click on Next button.
The activation should be successfully done with Activation was successful window appears. Click on Close button to quit.

How to Activate Vista Normally and by Phone Activation

Note

A Express or Retail Vista can be installed on any one computer at a time for as many times as you like. A OEM Vista may only be able to be installed on the exact same computer as many times as you like. The product key number for the Vista 32 bit version is the same one for it’s 64 bit version. You can only have the Product Key activated on one computer and version of 32 bit or 64 bit Vista at a time.

Warning

Microsoft no longer provides support for preinstalled OEM (recovery) copies of Vista. If you have one of these, then you must contact the OEM, instead of Microsoft in this tutorial, to activate your OEM Vista. OEM contact information should be included in the documentation that came with your computer or OEM Vista installation CD/DVD package.
A OEM (retail) version Vista installation DVD that is bought separately and did not come preinstalled on a OEM computer is still supported by Microsoft using the method in this tutorial below.
You only have 30 days of trial period to activate Vista, 3 days if you checked the Automatically activate Windows when I’m online while installing Vista. If you let the trial period expire, you will be placed into a Reduced Functionality Mode until you activate Vista. When you activate Vista, the product key number used will be tied to that computer. If you make significant changes to the computer, like a new motherboard, you will be required to do a Phone Activation. If you want to use it on another computer, then you must uninstall it from the other computer first and do a Phone Activation on the new computer. This is to verify that you are using the product key on only one computer.

There has been a update for this through Vista’s Windows Update to help with frequent prompting to activate Vista. If this applies to you, be sure to download the correct 32/64 bit version for your Vista.

STEP ONE

Try to Activate Vista Online Normally

NOTE: If you have a valid license for Vista, then double check that you entered the product key number correctly.

1. Open the Start Menu, and right click on Computer and click on Properties.

A) Go to Step 3.

2. Open the Control Panel (Classic view), and click on the System icon.

3. Scroll down to the bottom and you will see this screenshot. (See screenshot below step 5B)

4. Click on the Activate Windows now link.

A) Go to step 6.

5. If it will not activate, then click Change product key.

A) Type in the product key again to make sure it is correct.

NOTE: You can also use this if you just want to change it to a different product key for the same version of the installed Vista.

B) Click on the Activate Windows now link.

6. Click on the Activate Windows online now link. (See screenshot below)

7. If Vista fails to activate, then proceed to step 2 below.

STEP TWO

How to Do a Phone Activation

NOTE: On a preinstalled OEM Vista, you may need to call the manufacturer (Ex: HP) to get Vista activated again.

OPTION ONE:

1. Do the STEP ONE section above.

2. Click Use the automated phone system to activate. (See screenshot below)

A) Go to step 3 in OPTION TWO below.

OPTION TWO:

1. Open the Start Menu.

2. In the white line (Start Search) area, type slui.exe 4 and press Enter.

3. Select your nearest location and click on the Next button. (See screenshot below)

4. Click on Continue in the UAC prompt.

5. A local phone number should apear with a set of numbers generated by Windows and displayed on your screen under Step 2: . (See screenshot below)

NOTE: There will be sets of numbers under the 1 to 9. I just removed them here for obvious reasons.

6. Call the activation phone number selected.

7. At first, the activation line will be automated, so you will be asked to enter or speak the numbers (Step 2 in screenshot below step 10) displayed on your screen into the phone.

8. If Automated Service is Successful

NOTE: Usually this is not always successful.

A) The automated service will issue you a set of Confirmation ID numbers.

NOTE: Have a pen and paper handy to write these numbers down.

B) Go to step 10.

9. If Automated Service is Unsuccessful

A) If the activation service informs you that it was unsuccessful and cannot help you with activation, then STAY ON THE LINE and your call will be transferred to an activation operator who will assist you in activating your copy of Vista. The operator will give you the set of Confirmation ID numbers if they agree your copy of Vista is legitimate.

NOTE: Just explain to the operator your situation and what you did to require activation. (EX: hardware upgrade, installed Vista on a new computer after uninstalling it from the old one, etc…)

10. Type in the set of Confirmarion ID numbers given to you into the Step 3: area to be able to activate Vista. (See screenshot below)

NOTE: You will get these numbers from the phone automated system or operator after they have confirmed the numbers you gave them in step 7 above.

NOTE: The numbers in Step 2 of this screenshot will be there for you to use in step 5 above. I have just cleared them from this screenshot for obvious reasons.

11. When you get the Activation was successful window, click on Close to finish. (See screenshot below)
